As India announced their best T20 specialist players against England, England announced their best T20 squad against India. Since it is a five-match T20 series, India may want to dominate England from the start. England have visited India several times in the past where they have not been able to do much against India. By looking at the performance of the two teams in the first T20 match, we can get some idea of how the two teams will perform in the remaining matches. For now I will only look at the first T20 match to get an idea of the next four matches and I will refrain from betting on the first T20 match for the time being.
The first T20I will start in around 20 minutes from now. The good news is that India has won the toss, and elected to field first. Arshdeep Singh and Nitish Kumar Reddy may open the bowling, as the Indian selectors have packed their XI with spinners (Varun Chakravarthy, Ravi Bishnoi and Axar Patel). Hardik Pandya is also there as the pace bowling allrounder, although I am not sure whether he will bowl today. According to the commentators, the pitch at Eden Gardens is unlikely to offer any assistance to the pace bowlers.
