^^^^ The real reason is the inability of the PCB to pay decent salary to members of the national team. And when the players try to earn by participating in various franchise T20 leagues, the PCB creates obstacles for them. This in turn makes the player frustrated and ultimately it results in public spats between the players and the management. Anyway, with the success of the PSL, I hope that now the PCB will be able to pay good salary to the contracted players.

Muhammad Amir was nothing if he was not in the Pakistan National team. Muhammad Amir is a hero only because of Pakistan. If the board cannot pay the same as league, this does not mean that you quit the national team.
I know there are many players who prefer to play for the national team if the teams need them and step away from leagues, even though leagues pay more.

The ongoing circus at PCB board needs to stop. Literally PCB destroying another career of players at incredible speed, such a great left handed bowlers he is. It's unfortunate he decided to retire from International Cricket, PCB must address his concern immediately.

A player should give priority on patriotism rather than money. Let him go, we don't need players like him to be in our national team.

As far as I know, PCB is the fourth richest cricket board in the world. Yet it is strange why they do not pay cricketers properly. There is a lot of internal strife inside their board. The relationship between the players and the border officials is not good. But it is important for the players to have a good relationship with the team management. If the problem between their team is not solved, the Pakistan team will be lost like Zimbabwe team.

I don't think that your post is accurate. You can check the sponsorship deals and the TV rights auctions. What PCB receives every year from these proceedings is much lower than what the ECB or CA get annually from similar deals. The inability to stage home matches in Pakistan has drained the coffers for almost one and half decade. Only very recently, the foreign teams are agreeing to play in Pakistan. All this had a negative impact on the financials.

PCB is one of most shit boards in world as they done too many shit things to destroy many talented players just for their own sack personal likes and delikes biggest issue and worst thing we have no merit system for youths mostly youthes selected just for bribes and personal links very few achieved highest ranks just with their talent and Muhammad Aamir was also one of these guys but sadly he done few mistakes and these cost him very badly.
Politics inside sports is really a great danger for the future of their country's sports in the international stage and this is exactly what is happening with PCB for a very long time. Pakistan country got lot of talent which can make them to be the best team in cricket world but over the past decade the quality of players produced were very low and made them to be on the lower side team. Don't think anything is going to be changed from this retirement at least if there are talents they could try to join into the cricket boards of other countries.

I bet on Galle Gladiators today.

Sorry for your loss today as Galle Gladiators has lost the final match today. Jaffna Stallions out class them and they could not handle the pressure of chase in the big final. Just like most matches were one sided in LPL, the final turns out to be the same.
Although I lost the bet, I enjoyed the match. Jaffna Stallions played very well. Particularly Shoib Malik and Perera's innings were just greats. Jaffna Stallions won the title mainly because of these two batsmen.

Mohammad Amir retires from international cricket claiming 'mental torture' by PCB
"I don't think I can bear such torture. Enough is enough," : Aamir

Hate him or love him but he was natural talent.

Quote
"I am leaving cricket for now because I'm being mentally tortured. I don't think I can bear such torture. I've borne lots of torture from 2010 to 2015, for which I served my time. I've been tortured by being told the PCB invested a lot in me. I'll just say two people invested in me a lot: [former PCB chairman] Najam Sethi and [former Pakistan captain] Shahid Afridi.

"They were the only two. The rest of the team was saying, 'we don't want to play with Amir'. Recently, the atmosphere that's been created means I get taunted all the time by being told I don't want to play for my country. Who doesn't want to play for their country? Every two months, someone says something against me. Sometimes the bowling coach [Waqar Younis] says Amir ditched us, sometimes I'm told my workload is unsatisfactory. Enough is enough."

This is just one side of the picture. When you are famous , you have talent then you tend to behave irresponsible which cannot be tolerated by good cricket boards. I don't wana go deep into this and reveal the facts which media is hiding.

The tweet from Rameez Raja says it all,

Dalmiya was really cricket passionate person he was fully dedicated and give some very good things even he was also business tycoon but after him as we have SharadPawar/N Srinivasan these boths was not able to handle things like him one politician and other corrupt business man both badly destroy cricket very badly and now we are facing some serious troubles just because of these issues which created by these two and now others also going on this way which are not suitable to cricket' popularity.

Despite all the damage caused, these people are still present in powerful positions. Srinivasan owns the Chennai Superkings franchise, and his relatives are owning Hyderabad Sunrisers. And not surprisingly, both the franchises were accused of match fixing earlier. Srinivasan's daughter (Rupa Gurunath) is the president of the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA), while Maharashtra Cricket Association is under the control of Sharad Pawar. How can the situation in India improve, when such people are in powerful positions?
I can understand this all but problem is peoples in power call this is democracy and its really hurting very badly you know all these things but still unable to take any action against them mean you and your system both are really helpless and corruption is ruling around us peoples don't like this but Hitler's view about Democracy was absolutely right.

This cannot be implemented in cricket as there are already very few teams and this division does not make any sense. However, steps can be taken to make more countries play cricket and produce world class teams.

When Jagmohan Dalmiya was the ICC president, he took a number of steps to help associate nations. His efforts were very successful, as teams such as Kenya, Ireland and Afghanistan made a lot of progress and came close to becoming full member nations. But then he was ousted and the combination of Sharad Pawar/N Srinivasan took charge (as the ICC and BCCI presidents respectively). Their term pushed cricket back by at least two decades. All the progress that was achieved during the Dalmiya era was destroyed. Not just the associate nations, but even some of the test playing nations such as Zimbabwe sank without any trace.

And it was during this period that a new law was introduced, which enabled teams such as UAE and Oman to field teams entirely (100%) comprised of foreigners. As a result teams that had native players (such as Kenya, Netherlands, PNG, Namibia.etc) became unable to compete and in turn lost their ICC funding. Some of the teams such as the Netherlands managed to survive, as they had other avenues for funds. But teams such as Kenya got destroyed completely. As long as this law is not repealed, I don't think that cricket can be spread outside the big-3.

Now the ICC claims that cricket is being played in 100 plus nations. But in most of these nations, you can't find a single native player in the playing XI. Most of the teams are entirely made of Indians and Pakistanis.

But if you able to read then just check its happening in USA and they are bringing two or three teams from different sports and giving them all good for better quality and better entertainment this will be good if they feel better in their financial prospectus this also can happening in Europe as well but sadly we have no in Asian countries because here issues are very different from other world.

American leagues such as the NBA and NHL are divided to various divisions such as Atlantic and Central based on their location. For example, NBA consists of 30 teams, but they are divided in to two "conferences", which are further divided in to three divisions each. This ensures that most of the matches are played between teams which are close from each other.

BTW, I want to go slightly off-topic. Don't you guys think that including two teams from across the Tasman Sea can make BBL more interesting? Let them have two franchises from Auckland and Christchurch. It will increase the overall viewership and give the Kiwis a taste of high-voltage franchise T20 cricket. But logistics can be a concern. Australia itself is huge.. and now we are talking about AUS+NZ.  Grin
Surely this is not bad idea at all because this can bring some more interest good viewership even New Zealand is not cricket lover country Rugby is first love for them but with these two teams they can take some good advantages in many ways like USA enjoying with Canadians in few leagues like NBA, MLB, NHL and MLS these have just 2 or 3 teams from Canada but some very big profit is coming for them.
I don't think so. Maybe this things will be interesting, but the fields will not get much spectetors. We will not watch our favorite teams matches, going to another country. Why would we waste so much money? On the other hand, using stadiums between the two countries would be a problem for the players. @bryant.coleman says that Perth is located some 5,000 km away from Christchurch. This is a long distance. It will not be possible to get good results on the field by traveling so much.

The idea is good, but arranging the transportation and logistics can be very challenging. For example, Perth is located some 5,000 km away from Christchurch. Do you expect the players to travel all this distance several times a week? One option would be to stage a few initial rounds in New Zealand, and the remaining matches in Australia. But then, how many New Zealanders would purchase tickets to watch Hobart Hurricanes taking on Adelaide Strikers? Or how many Australians would do the same for a match between Auckland and Christchurch? The gate collections may get affected.
