What a bowling performance of Sairaj picking him today in match and delivering to his team with crucial 3 wickets out of 4 .

Karthik and Morgan if they can build a partnership of even 50 - 70 runs from here they would atleast be able to score decent runs on board though it may not be a winning score but something for bowlers to bowl at.

I had high hopes on Mahendra Singh Dhoni as a captain and a finisher to win some matches that they were poised to win and they failed to do that in multiple occasions and then the team selection was a blunder.

Kolkata Knight Riders is playing without Andre Russel and they are struggling as they lost three quick wickets and with Tom Banton in the team they did not ask him to open the innings that is strange as their usual openers were struggling and he is still in the crease and Banton needs to deliver big for them to have a decent score to defend and they have Pat Cummins and Lockie Ferguson to trouble the RCB players but for that they need a good total on board.

Edit: lost another wicket and Mohammed Siraj surprised me by picking up his 3rd wicket and they are now struggling at 14 for the loss of 4 wickets.

KXIP lost a lot of their initial matches, because there was no one to score the required runs in case KL Rahul or Mayank Agarwal gets out. The inclusion of Chris Gayle has changed that scenario. The most important thing to note here is that he is scoring the runs at a good strike rate. With almost 9 runs needed per over, they can't afford to slow down when the wickets fall. Gayle and Pooran scored the runs at around 8-9 runs per over, and this gave the team a comfortable victory. BTW, Agarwal looks like he is out of form. KXIP can experiment with Rahul and Gayle as openers.

Yesterday match between Kings IX vs Delhi Changers was awesome, the Nicolas Pooram has some serious gut strength. Gayle gave IX a strong boost which helped them to be ahead in the requirement of runs per ball.

It is not just KXIP. A few other teams also made the mistake, by not giving chances to the good players. Look at the KKR squad. The inclusion of Lockie Ferguson has done wonders for them. But then, he got his chance after 8 matches. KKR management wanted to stick with Sunil Narine despite repeated failures. Chris Morris of RCB was another talented player who was ignored for too long.

The surprise element was on full display, Glenn Maxwell went for a big shot when they need less than 6 runs an over and lost his wicket and then Deepak Hooda was struggling and Marcus Stoinis missed a catch inside the circle and if he had taken the catch it would put them back in huge pressure and they were feeling the moment but then James Neesham who was struggling was able to scoop one for a six to end the misery Cheesy

Kings XI Punjab is in a really good position to win the match as they just need under run a ball and they have wickets in hand and if they play sensible cricket they will be winning the match, but a couple of wickets could put pressure back into Kings XI Punjab but with no pressure on the run rate they could easily rotate the strike rather than going for the big hits.

Shikhar Dhawan is in top form. In 4 matches including today he has scored 2 consecutive hundred and 2 half centuries. Out of that 3 times he was also not out. If any top order batsman can continue and remains not out chances of winning their match increases and DC have won all those matches. Today's match is still on and some contribution in previous matches came from Shreyas Iyer. DC may face issue if these 2 batsmen’s get out early.
