Having said that it's not a bad idea to have a such kind of pitch once in a while, despite T-20 being a batter's game. It gives us a reality check of where these modern batsmen stand in the pecking order.
I agree with you. But not only in the T20 format. The pitch plays a role in big scores in every format. The team management builds their squads keeping in mind the pitch conditions. It is usually very difficult to score big on spin-bowling-friendly pitches. And it is difficult in all formats. However, New Zealand scored lowly and was given a target of just 100 runs. Even then it was not easy for the experienced Indian batsmen to score 100 runs. The match was competitive.
