Bangladesh VS Afghanistan
Today will be the second match of T20 series between Bangladesh vs Afghanistan. It was very difficult for Bangladesh to win in the first match but they won at the last moment. Afghanistan's bowling and batting line is better than Bangladesh in T20 format. In the first match, Afghanistan's top order batting failed and could not give a target of more runs. If Bangladesh wins today's match, the series will be won, if Afghanistan wins today, the series will be drawn. Afghanistan will try to play well in today's match. Bangladesh will get a little more support playing in Bangladesh's home field. I think both teams have a fifty fifty chance of winning today's match.
After getting a comfortable win against Afghanistan in the first match, Bangladesh will enter the field again today with the aim of winning the series. Today, the second and final T20 match against Afghanistan will be played at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. A crucial win against Afghanistan in the first match will surely give Bangladesh confidence. Like the last match, the toss is very important today.
Rest assured that the team that wins the toss between the two teams must decide to field. There is no option for Afghanistan to win this match to get back to parity in this series.
Afghanistan may make a change in the second match with Mohammad Shahzad replacing Hazratullah Zazai. Bangladesh may enter the field with an unchanged team.
I wouldn’t actually say that the win was comfortable, to be honest. Bangladesh did almost choke at the end of the match. And whenever the match gets towards the tailenders of Bangladesh to finish, I know that it is going to be luck. There was a genuine chance for Bangladesh to lose that match. And I am also pretty sure that Bangladesh would have lost the match if it was against better opponents.
Imagine Bangladesh playing the same match against India. After India got a hat-trick in the last over and Bangladesh needed two runs from two balls and also had two wickets in hand. I don’t think Bangladesh could have won the match. I am also sure that Indian bowlers wouldn’t have given a ball which is so short and wide to Nasum.
