In this IPL, KKR, Delhi Capitals, SRH, Punjab Kings, Rajasthan Royals, these five teams' dreams of IPL 2023 qualifiers are over.
Punjab Kings (PBKS) lost their playoff chances completely after a 15-run defeat against Delhi Capitals (DC) yesterday. If Punjab kings could have won in tomorrow's match, they would have had 14 points in 13 matches, so they could have achieved the fifth position in the points table. But with the defeat yesterday, this possibility of Punjab Kings also ended. Delhi Capitals, on the other hand, have won, but their playoff spot is already in doubt. So a win or loss in yesterday's match could not bring any benefit for the playoffs.

At this point, Gujarat Titans are assured of a spot in the playoffs. In case of Chennai Super Kings and Lucknow Super Giants, there is more than a 90% chance. The fight for the 4th spot is going to be between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Three more teams can qualify for the playoffs in very unlikely scenarios, but the chances are less than 10%. What surprises me is the situation with Rajasthan Royals. They started the season with a bang, winning most of the matches in the first half. But then they lost steam mid-way and now it is very unlikely that they will not qualify for the playoffs.
RCB losing today's match will make the competence even high. So that four teams will be on the points table with same point. Every team's last match plays major role, because RCB and RR are with better net runrate against Punjab Kings and KKR down to them. Though SRH is in the last position its playe could decide the teams into the playoff.

Looks like Punjab is about to kick the bucket. Dhawan getting injured when he was on fire earlier on in the season was a huge blow to them and he never retained that fire after returning later on.
Delhi is already out, but they are taking Punjab along with them comfortably. Wonder when either of these teams will end up winning the cup for the first time.

PBKS is losing the match. They had to win this match if they wanted to keep them alive in the tournament. DC has won the match by 15 runs. This was a good performance from DC. But this was certainly in vain. After all, both of them are going to be out of the tournament.

But it was not very surprising to me. The thing which was actually very surprising is RCB actually still has a chance if they can consistently win. RCB does have a better run rate. So it is possible for them to get head of Mumbai Indians and actually qualify.

A 15-run loss to Delhi Capitals ended Punjab Kings' IPL dreams. Now officially Punjab Kings are out of the playoffs this season. Punjab Kings could not succeed in chasing the target of 214 runs.

Liam Livingstone's outstanding efforts also failed to earn the team victory. Liam Livingstone played a brilliant innings of 94 runs off just 48 balls.

Delhi Capital's performance was very good from the beginning and the end was also very good. Although Delhi Capital's batting has performed very well, their points are at the bottom due to which they will not reach the final knockout even if they win. But Punjab Kings started with fall of wickets and they lost by huge runs in the last minute and the number of wickets also fell. But I think Delhi Capitals good bowling performance forced Punjab Kings to lose at the last minute.
Liam Livingstone played great for Punjab team, he scored 94 runs in just 48 balls with 9 sixes and 5 fours.  But unfortunately he got out.  If he could have played a little longer, he might have won the match. If another player like Liam Livingstone and Taide played a little better, it would have been easy for them to win the match. they were played very well by all the Delhi players.  And collected very good runs in every over
Yes if he could have continued a bit more, Punjab Kings might have won the match but in the end it didn't happen. Moreover, how much more can be expected from a player?  He scored 95 runs off 48 balls with a strike rate of 195. Prabhasimran Singh needed to perform a little better. On the other hand, the players of Delhi Capitals have done consistently well in this match. Warner, Prithvi Shaw, Rossouw and Salt each scored well. Delhi Capitals managed to score 213 runs for just 2 wickets. Punjab Kings bowling site completely failed in this match.

It is an unlucky day for Punjab kings team. Taide was building the partnership and he was retired hurt at the wrong time. Further Liam Livingstone performed well, but he wasn't able to make it a winning match. The runrate wasn't that bad from the beginning and they took off late. Bowlers were really well, but the pressure situation easily change the outcome.

Looks like Delhi's openers are having a pretty good mood today. Prithvi Shaw seems to be back in form as he hit a brilliant half century, although it may be a little too late for Delhi at this point as their season is over. While Warner missed his half century for Delhi, Rilee Rossouw stayed till the end and put up a blistering knock. Overall, Delhi managed to put up an impressive score of 213 runs in their first innings, this is their first 200+ total in this IPL season! Delhi has already been knocked out of the tournament, but the match still holds significance for Punjab Kings if they get a win today.

Delhi set a huge target of 214 runs today. Had the Delhi batsmen done such a performance in the previous matches, they might have been able to qualify for the knockout round. Delhi's top order batted brilliantly today. The bowlers are also bowling quite well. But Delhi's fielding today is abysmal. Lots of fielding misses by Delhi players. They missed several easy catches. Had the fielding been better, Punjab would have lost several wickets. At the end of 14 overs, Punjab managed to collect 117 runs after losing two wickets. Need 97 off 36 balls to win. It looks like Delhi will win easily.
Delhi gave target to Punjab by Hughes Run.  Because the target of 213 runs in a T20 match Hughes and Punjab now have only 16 balls left but they still need 51 more runs to win the match.  So I think it is impossible for them to fulfill it. But Punjab is hitting the ball as it is in the last minute.  Had they done this from the start they could have collected a lot of runs and maybe won the match. But now it is not possible for them to win the match

Punjab Kings win the toss and decide to field and Delhi Capitals are now batting. Right now they are practicing their game very well and Delhi capital has a chance to perform well in today's match. but this match is not so important for Delhi Capitals but for Punjab Kings the most important is to win the match. If Punjab Kings can win today, they will move from 12 point to 14 point and move to the fourth position in the points table and have a chance to go to the knockout stage. But even if Delhi Capitals win the match they will have no chance so this match is not that important for them. But in today's match definitely Punjab Kings need to win the match the most and if they can perform well then the match will be a winner.

Punjab Kings will take on the Delhi Capitals today in the fight for survival in the IPL. Today's match is just a regulation match for Delhi Capitals. Because their win or loss will not have any effect on qualifying in IPL. But if Punjab can win against Delhi Capitals today, they will keep their hopes alive in the fight to move from 1st to 4th in the points table. Not only winning this match today, Punjab Kings have to win the remaining two matches as well and look towards the equation after winning two consecutive matches. If the other teams do poorly then Punjab will have a chance of going to the playoffs.

The 178-run target looked like a target of 200-plus runs for MI. The last two overs by LSG and the failure of SKY, according to me, were the reasons why MI lost to LSG. The last over by Mohsin Khan was outstanding. Tim David and Cameron Green were a big disappointment whereas Marcus Stoinis and Pandya were the reasons why LSG was able to get 178 runs on a tough pitch for batting.
MI is the same team who used to make totals of 200 plus against quality opponents. And they were on the right track yesterday. When Ishan Kishan got out, they were at 103/2 after 11.1 overs. At this point, they needed just 75 runs from 8.5 overs, with 8 wickets to spare. But then their downfall started. First Suryakumar Yadav, and then Nehal Wadhera wasted a lot of deliveries. And then it reached a point where the required run rate shot up to 12 runs per over. Some big hits from Tim David brought down the RRR, but then the last over disaster sunk them.

The way Mumbai started their innings, I don't think they will lose this match. LSG collected only 35 runs in 6 overs of the powerplay, while Mumbai collected 58 runs without losing a wicket. After 10 overs, LSG collected only 68 runs. Mumbai's collection was 92 runs. But even then there was a slump in Mumbai's batting. Mumbai collected only 1 run in the 13th over. This is one of the reasons for Mumbai's defeat. Despite having plenty of experienced batsmen in the squad, Mumbai lost the match by just 5 runs. Nehal Wadhera got out after collecting only 16 runs off 20 balls. Batting like that stupidly makes it difficult to win the match.
I have also observed your point where i also deserve Nehal Wadhera was good enough to lose this match. He scored only one run in the 13th over and he could not score any runs in the remaining 5 balls why he didn't get runs. His carelessness is responsible for losing the match. In contrast Krunal Pandya bowled the 13th over who took no wickets in the match and the better bowler was Ravi Bishnoi who conceded 26 runs in 4 overs along with two wickets. If the target is big in the match ‍and particular batsman have no seriousness then losing the match will not be a big deal. He failed to perform as expected by playing at the 4th position.

In the last over where 11 runs were needed to win, Cameron Green managed to score only two runs from four balls. I would say that mainly because of Cameron Green's failure, Mumbai Indians lost this match.
Why blame Cameron Green? What about the other batsmen? Green faced just 6 balls and scored 4 runs. On the other hand, Nehal Wadhera faced a total of 20 deliveries to get to his 16, and Suryakumar Yadav got to 7 from 9 balls. And don't forget the contribution from Vishnu Vinod as well (2 runs from 4 balls). When the middle order failed to keep up with the required run rate, it will be unfair to blame Green for the loss. If he was sent ahead of Nehal and Vishnu, then yes. But he batted at no.7 and got just two overs at the end.
With T20 matches none can be blamed. Anytime the match can turn in favour of a team or against the team irrespective of the best players in the team. One such incident is the match between Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants. The blame came upon Cameroon, because even after the failure of the middle order the target to be scored in the last over is just 11 runs. Batsmen in the ground were Tim David who is the second highest scorer in Mumbai Indians innings and Cameroon Green who had used to be match changer. When the end result is a disappointment, the blame is put on Cameroon as he faced four balls in the last over.

Cameroon Green is a very experienced player. And he was in pretty good shape. This is why the team had high expectations from Cameroon Green. He managed to collect only 4 runs off 6 balls. This is why Cameroon Green is being blamed. However, Cameroon Green should not be solely blamed for Mumbai Indians' defeat. I don't think the performance of the other players on the team was very good. After the dismissal of Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma, their batting became quite slow. And this is why Mumbai Indians lost by 5 runs. Also, the performance of LSG's bowlers was very good. They have managed to bowl in a controlled manner.
