Yes development is still active, albeit slow going. Time constraints and real-life/family obligations amongst the team slow things down more than we would like, but such things are inevitable. We have reached a turning point (and a roadblock) with the 2.1 overhaul and are currently exploring multiple options to proceed.
We cannot give any kind of ETA at the moment, but we are planning on releasing a more detailed and in-depth statement regarding the update when our current hurdles are overcome.
What is the development status for MINT? Does Mintcoin still have developers working on keeping it updated and improving it? As an investor, I would be interested to know how things are going. I think this coin is excellent and want to see it thrive.

Never Leave More Coins sitting on an exchange than what you are willing to lose.
There are no guarantees , there are no insured exchanges .
We all take Great Risks in the hopes for Great Rewards with time, because the insured investments usually have lousy returns.

Hello everyone.
I have decided to stop maintaining Mineralscoin infrastructure and will no longer work on the wallet or any related service.
There is simply no time for me to spend on the coin and I am facing enormous problems that make this coin basically a dead coin.
And dead it is, since a corrupt transaction has brough the blockchain on its knees.
In its current state MIN cannot be a dynamic and lightning fast coin it was supposed to be. Its code base, Novacoin, is hopelessly outdated to the point it's too hard and required to much resources to fix it.

That being said, don't trash your wallets. It may be useful should an exchange program be created together with a successor.

Doesn't matter. Thats nothing compared to the fact that a chain that was fundamentally promoted for its "immutability" properties has now been demonstrated to be mutable.
The "clean" chain is the valuable one.
ETH is no more than a toy now and will possibly share the same fate as Vericoin. I was amazed that they went ahead with the fork (was amazed at Vericoin as well). Doesn't matter how you square the rights and wrongs it in your head, the market will always take a diversity of views unless you maintain one priority as utterly sacred. You can't simply cherry pick which contracts you want to wipe out and which ones not without paying a strategic price.
Dont forget, attacker still possesses 3.6 million in the darkdao which will be released in a lump sum all at once on 28th of july, and he will certainly have to provide a solid liquidity for himself to cash out.

This sounds really great. In fact, it could become a very popular coin by offering rewards to projects, coins, and others (which is already doing now) It all needs a little more interest into it (and perhaps promotion) to keep it going. Together, we can make BTCTalkcoin a good community coin.
By the way, a really nice feature would be an online wallet that you would access your BTCTalkcoins with your BTCTalk membership. Sounds a little crazy but it could be worth a shot. Just sharing my thoughts.
