Can you create the same rule for altcoinstalk.com?
People use your website there as well.

yes
I join the bitmover request, we also use your fantastic service on altcoinstalks (you should open a thread there too)
in my opinion you can leave it for both and block the rest, so in the end we use it intelligently
if u can add the rule, we appreciate it so much

The point is that opening this possibility officially will bring more images that are not part of Bitcointalk, and we have members of this forum making backups of the images. This would force them to have to make backups of images that are used in other forums, increasing their backup resources.

Furthermore, it would also increase the resources needed for TalkImg. Would the community also support this?
I don't rule out the possibility of this happening, but I will have to evaluate the situation in more detail.

Joker_josue,  I think the decision to expand your service to another forum is up to you.

As it is now, you will lose a huge amount of users in altcoinstalks.com.  additionally,  some users from bitcointalk who also use the other forum might migrate to another tool that fit both forums.

I understand the costs, it is not a simple decision

Images are not loading and I am sure it's has nothing to do with talkimg.
The service is working but limited.

joker_josue, I think you set too aggressive bot protection. For images to be displayed on the forum, the user must go to the talkimg site and pass the CF antibot captcha. Only after that, the images are loaded.

oops, it seems like it's just a try

Images are not loading and I am sure it's has nothing to do with talkimg. This time it seems something wrong with forum server. Can someone confirm that they are having the same issue? You need the force to clear cache (Crtl+Shift+R) to check the issue.

When you confirm that everything is calmer, I will reduce the pressure made by Cloudlfare in access.
I hope you understand, especially who uses the Tor.
Bot protection is probably the reason why my backups failed after August 11. I now get this:
Code:
403 Forbidden
It's not a priority, but I'd appreciate if you can whitelist my server. I'll PM the IP-address.

Open the thread Cheesy and discuss with community of altcoinstalks
in my opinion it is the best option to talk about it with everyone, let's say it is a twin of bitcointalk focused on altcoins clearly as the name suggests

I'm telling you because with one shot you would have two communities to support you and it's not a bad thing

It is worth remembering that TalkImg is intended for use on Bitcointalk. It may not work on other sites.
Either way, alert levels should soon drop and it will operate in a more normal way, as it did before.

Great! it is working here!

What did you change?

I found that in the WAF option it is possible to create exceptions for IP in "IP Access Rules". So I configured this:

I can confirm the site works for me too both using private dns and none-dns for desktop and mobile phones.

Maybe Theymos could dip into the now huge amounts of funds donated to this site.
You mean theymos should donate from forum funds to talkimg? I don't think he will do that, but it's doable, we only need to a little push to theymos to do it.

Adding to the mystery that is troubleshooting...  I was just trying to upload images from my mobile and it wasn't letting me (iphone/safari) although it was letting me use the site fine other than uploading images.  Then I eventually switched to my desktop after many attempts and the exact same images uploaded immediately with no issues whatsoever.  Hope this helps complicate your thoughts on what is happening a bit.  Good luck!

It shows how reliant this site's user experience is on your service.  I don't know if money would help solve problems like this, but it seems like maybe a Grant system should be looked at to help developers like yourself have the necessary funds to make sure your project continues to thrive.

Another thing I noticed is that every time I open TalkImg website I am now ''greeted'' with cloudlfare screen

Yes, this happens by prevention, just for a few more hours.

When you confirm that everything is calmer, I will reduce the pressure made by Cloudlfare in access.
I hope you understand, especially who uses the Tor.

I will give more information soon.
It appears to be working fine, but I noticed some images are still missing from posts, maybe they will show up later or tomorrow.

The site is working again on my end, @joker_josue.

I'm also able to upload images. Adding an image below just to check.

Edit: Yep, working just fine.

I will show you some of the configurations I use:

Thank you Bitmover, I will look at these settings carefully.

But, however, I was moving from side to side, and there I discovered an option that solves the problem.

Can you check if you already see the images?

Ah, just came here to find out what's up with Chartbuddy. No worries. I have sometimes had it happen the other way around because talkimg is on the same class A as some particularly annoying attackers and my security was a bit gung-ho about blocking. Talkimg is now on a high priority whitelist. Sorry this happened to you. I wonder what the deal is and why you're being targeted.

Are you using cloudflare joker_josue?

Bitcoindata.science was attacked a few times. I managed to keep it online with the free plan just by adding more aggressive configurations

Yes, that help.

Now I still have to make some adjustments, so that everything will work again.
I hope to have the situation normalized briefly.

I will show you some of the configurations I use:

As those settings may be to harsh to get images working in bitcointalk, you will need to add a rule for bitcointalk (making requests from bitcointalk.org bypass all your DDOS settings)

I added two rules: One to block Bots, and another one that FeeBuddy will simply skip. As FeeBuddy is a bot, he would be blocked without this.

This is exactly what you need. Bitcointalk must not be blocked, it must have a different rule.

You will have to do something like this:
