@fillippone how does the image appear in the thumbnail that appears, before clicking upload? Does it appear in the correct position or not?

The image always has a correct orientation in the thumbnail.
On some occasions, the problem appeared at thumbnail generation time, and I solved it by snapping a new picture, selecting a different one from the series of pictures taken, or even trying again.
When I upload a “wrong” image it is because I couldn't fix the error by obvious means.

This time it is difficult that the picture were taken with strange orientations…
I am pretty sure the crane was vertical and gravity was properly working.

This happens, because the image orientation rules are in the metadata - EXIF, and the EXIF are removed as soon as you upload.
I'll check if I can implement some rotation function at upload time.

Today first time I am trying to use talkImg but every time when I am trying to upload image it's not working and message appearing error 401 anyone can give update about this error why I am facing this issue.

With I want to use this what is the best way of having this in good and easy working, thanks.

I have not received any information about any problems with the service, nor is there any record of downtime.

This could be a problem with your connection. Did you use Tor or a VPN? Can you provide more information on how you tried to access the site?
I am not using any Tor or VPN I have just few days to start with this so facing this problem but now as you mentioned maybe its happening due to my Internet connection as well because in last few days we are having problems in our Internet.

What if you copy the EXIF Orientation, wipe EXIF completely, and restore just the Orientation: tag?

I have to check if it will be possible for the system to delete all EXIF, except for this field.

Ultimately, the world of images is very complex, and it is difficult to find solutions that are very uniform.
One of the difficulties being that any type of lossy transformation performed by image hosts contributes to inevitable generation loss as images end up being repeatedly downloaded then re-uploaded to other sites. For the sake of media preservation, I feel image hosts have a duty to do as little alteration as possible to uploaded images.

Totally agree. That's why TalkImg doesn't have any direct conversion system. It just eliminates the EXIF and the rest remains the same.

I want to keep it that way. That's why I have to check every detail to see if any adjustments generate different behavior.

Removing just some EXIF data can be fallible, as some software stores more information than others, and some use different descriptions.

The 8 EXIF orientation values are numbered 1 to 8.

= 0 degrees: the correct orientation, no adjustment is required.
= 0 degrees, mirrored: image has been flipped back-to-front.
= 180 degrees: image is upside down.
= 180 degrees, mirrored: image has been flipped back-to-front and is upside down.
= 90 degrees: image has been flipped back-to-front and is on its side.
= 90 degrees, mirrored: image is on its side.
= 270 degrees: image has been flipped back-to-front and is on its far side.

Or just not strip non-sensitive EXIF tags in the first place, by allowing a whitelist of safe tags. Note that rotating a JPEG can't be performed losslessly unless its size is a multiple of its macroblock size (usually 16 pixels).

Removing just some EXIF data can be fallible, as some software stores more information than others, and some use different descriptions. As a rule, an EXIF should not be used to record the image position. However, some systems use this function to facilitate image editing or not require image editing.

Ultimately, the world of images is very complex, and it is difficult to find solutions that are very uniform. Therefore, the best option to ensure that sensitive data is not saved is to eliminate EXIF.

Ideally, you'd rotate the picture before wiping EXIF.

Yes, I have to check how I can put this function, in the edit option that exists at the time of upload.

Outside the forum?

I don't think so as the service is hardly visible on the top search results of different search engines if someone is looking for image hosting sites unless if the person types up the full name of the search in the search space.

Also, there are very few forums that are fashioned like bitcointalk when it comes to posting images so this would make me think the Bitcointalk and altcointalk members are mainly the only peoples frequently using the service

Yeah, that's pretty much what I meant - btctalk forum members would use it in other places (and maybe recommend it to others etc), like the altcoinstalk forum, or other, lesser-known forums that use the same or similar engines.
I know I do, and probably I'm not the only one.

Drop in uploads from June of -228 is only a 3.7%. The overall activity of bitcointalk (number of posts) dropped by over 14% (according to ninjastic.space), which probably indicates that TalkImg is no longer only used on this forum and probably has spread to other parts of the internet.

It could even be. But it's unlikely. Around +90% of visits to the website are direct, that is, people who go directly to talkimg.com. This means that they are people who already know the site.

Over the past year, you've already noticed that there are periods with more uploads and others with fewer uploads.

Probably most of those users have an account here and uses talkimg to post images on other platforms too ( i'm one of these users too). Because as you said, the site doesn't have google seo metrics to show up in google top pages unless visited or search directly.

The numbers for this month of July may be a little lower than the previous month, but that was because in the months of May/June we had a greater movement due to the pizza competition. Another interesting point is that this month more images were seen on the forum than before, with more than 1TB of bandwidth used.

Anyhow, thanks for the great work!
I've sent you a small tip and would encourage others to do the same. Donation addresses are at the bottom of the page.

Since July, it has been possible to make donations via LN: [email protected] I believe it is useful for those users who prefer to use LN to make donations.
Personally, I continued to prefer SegWit directly: bc1qhwnncpdd8gfzqwjkk9n052wf7g9mvks3xaa7qa

Regardless of how you support TalkImg, whether by donating or using this service, I am very grateful. Without you, this project would not be possible, to be what it is today and it is here to continue. It's just that today I can continue guaranteeing it.

Here are the numbers for the month:

Number of uploads in the month:
5 991 (-228 that in the last month)

Total disk space in the month:
2GB (+0.17 that in the last month)
Number of visits to the talkimg.com website in the month: 6 923 (-5 896 that in the last month)
Estimated number of times images were viewed on the forum in the month (hits): 5 943 001 (+1552k that in the last month)

Self-Custody is a right. Say no to"Non-custodial"
I'm still not very familiar with LN, but is that a negative?
I would have expected a much lower transaction fee for LN. As in: 2 sats instead of more than 400.
But will I be able to control this, or is it the responsibility of the wallet I'm using?

I am not sure what wallet you were using (joker-josue) (or whether your wallet matters?), but I was sending from a Phoenix wallet, and I did not do anything except scan the barcode through the Phoenix App, and then chose the number of sats that I was sending, which was changing from the 1 sats in the invoice to send 102,594 sats, and so the total with the fee was 103,008.376 sats.  As far as I know, there was no option to change the fees, yet I was not using the wallet in any kind of advanced user way, I just sent from what was in front of me.
