Without official confirmation, then it is not wise to spread rumors about it. Although it is exciting since many users are using the telegram app for communicating through the ICO, but spreading this kind of news can make people hope for nothing. It also paves the way for other people to use this opportunity to scam other users. So beware!

Guys, news about TON hit the internet before christmas, and quite immediately after that Pavel Durov (CEO of Telegram) tweeted this:
"Attention: Telegram publishes its official announcements only at https://telegram.org . Everything else is most likely scam."

He hasn't actually denied it so it's possible to be true. Telegram has always been a nonprofit organization so these kind of news are sceptical. Providing payment/money transfering system for their userbase would be a great move, but creating a cryptocurrency doesn't sound very nonprofit.

Are they really creating something revolutionary? Or is this project just riding on the hype of the ICO boom combined with Telegram's branding
Yes, I saw this wonderful news , I Think they will have a successful gathering so basically all are the telegram and many ICO communicate the telegram
I think this will be the largest project ever since they have a huge community on the telegram, if this happens, $ 500 million will be reached soon and be in the top 10 coinmarketcap in the future.
After I know the ICO telegram, I think it is meaningless, or even a telegram just use their vast number of users to prepare to raise money, I don't think the ICO project prospect, makes no sense.
Perhaps going to be the biggest ICO ever. Makes total sense for Telegram to create their own ICO.
