Sinner Alcaraz tomorrow could be one of the best match ever played between the two players.
They are showing great tennis and it's clear they are playing at HIGH level ...
Alcaraz is favorite but the number of wins for the opponents is 2-2 on direct match so .... nothing is sure or maybe we can expect some surprise Roll Eyes

I would play over games in this match. I think we will see three sets for sure in this match. Alcaraz might be a slight favorite but i think Sinner wont go down that easily. Alcaraz will need to work hard to keep up with Sinners serve and playing style.
Going with over games is good choice and for sure the match moves to the third set for sure. Both the young players fighting to reach the finals is gonna be a big match. Both were at their best and I wish to watch tie breaker between the two, Sinner have reached semifinals defeating the defending champion Fritz in the quarter finals which gives him good confidence. Alcaraz have recorded the first win against Auger Aliassime and reached the semifinals. Let's see what happens between the two.

This is of course going to be a three-set match. Both of them are very competitive. I don't think anyone in this match has the edge over the other.
People are just favoring Alcaraz because he is the young prodigy. He is the number one seed. That's why people are confident about him.
But it is not going to be easy against Sinner. He will try to go to the backhand of Alcaraz while serving

Sinner is making progress in my opinion. Now Alcaraz is the stronger and more successful player and he is even younger than Sinner, but still there is a lot of potential for Sinner to further grow. The biggest strength of both of these players is their fighting spirit to never give up, not a single ball. Some players fall apart and start losing easy shots and produce double faults, but that is not the case for Alacaraz and Sinner. I indeed agree that this could be one of the most interesting games of the Indian Wells.

Still I think that most tennis fans would love to see a final between Alcaraz and Medvedev given how strong Medvedev currently is.

In the first semi final its Medvedev v Tiafoe, I think Medvedev will prevail and go to
the final and if so who of the 4 remaining competitors in the 2 remaining quarter finals
could beat him in the final? Alcaraz?

Medvedev is playing really great tennis at the moment. He will certainly win against Tiafoe. I do not see anyone who could beat him in the final at the moment. Alcaraz is not ready yet. Medvedev comes into the final with a lot of confidence. He has already won 3 tournaments this year and will probably win this one as well.

I wouldn't be so sure... modern tennis is so athletic, winning 2, 3 let alone 4 tournaments is a huge stress for your body (in fact I can't remember any player in recent times who would do it). I bet Medvedev feels completely worn out at this point and his biggest issue is fatigue not the competitors. He can as well lose to Tiafoe. And let's be fair, Davidovich Fokina didn't play the best match in his life against Medvedev so who knows what could have happened... So there's that.

The only thing that can stop Medvedev is that he is really tired. He already said that the court is awful and too slow and that it is causing problems for him. But Tiafoe might cause problems for Medvedev. But if Medvedev plays against Alcaraz he will win easily thats my opinion
Medvedev winning three tournaments could've boosted his confidence, but the opponents will try to take advantage over the injury. Medvedev will make it to the finals. Now the match between Alcaraz and Auger Aliassime have got importance as both are in high competence, though the odds are in favour of Alcaraz.

Alcaraz reaching the finals and the match between Medvedev and Alcaraz won't be that easy for both. Alcaraz winning the Argentina Open gives the confidence and in the previous encounter against Auger Aliassime he have lost the match in direct sets.

@n0ne Medvedev is in phenomenal form and even if he’s tired I yet expect him to win and reach the finals, and the only scenario I see him losing is if he’s playing with an hidden injury which makes it difficult for him to play. Also in the finals I see him winning it, because he truly deserves to win this tournament after putting in such phenomenal performances.

Hm yes he is in great shape, but I didn't think that Tiafoe would beat Fritz so easily, but once again Tiafoe is such an emotional player that he benefits a lot from the crowd cheering for him. That really raises his confidence and actually his level of play. On a good day I think he can also beat Medvedev. He is able to hit balls straight onto the line nonstop when he is at his best. But he also has days where he doesn't hit much very well. It depends but he has the people backing him as he is from the US. Everyone who has been doing sports knows that that can make a difference.

Whoa! Did you witness the quarterfinals where Danil Medvedev dominated? My prophecy was on point, and he's in phenomenal shape! Medvedev must be ecstatic right now and eagerly waiting for his next matches. Did you notice how effortlessly he won this match compared to his last? It's as if he played blindfolded. I mean, 6-3, 7-5? That's a cakewalk for him! However, it's not over yet; the harder the victory dance, the easier the match!

Didn't watch it because the time difference makes it difficult for me to follow some important matches unless it's a prime time match which is usually done at night which is in the morning at my place. I know he's been impressive this year not seeing him progress after failing in AO losing to S. Korda. When he was able to pass Fokina easily it was as predicted because he was in the best condition even a player like Djokovic he beat

Oh, I'm excited about the upcoming Felix Auger-Aliassime and Carlos Alcaraz match! It's a real edge-of-your-seat thriller, and I'm not bluffing when I say I need a manicure! Although Auger-Aliassime struggled in the last game, he was able to come out on top, and I expect him to perform to the best of his abilities. Alcaraz, on the other hand, is a rising star in the tennis world. He's only 19, but his tennis skills are exceptional. It seems like he was born with a tennis racket in his hand! It's going to be a fantastic game; I can hardly wait to see these two in action!

Looking at the whole match and it has to be said that it didn't go as expected, Aliassime was too prone to errors and a couple of double faults handed Alcaraz points at crucial moments. The second set saw Aliassime improve but once again mistakes were the cause of many of her dropping points. Sinner vs Alcaraz I don't know which of the two will go to the final but it is very likely that in the final they will face Medvedev.

Alcaraz v Felix AA is a tough one to call, I might go with the number 1 seed - Alcaraz but
I have not seen either playing this tournament so I might actually hold off on it altogether.

Alcaraz should be the better player going into this match against Felix. But at the same time, it is not going to be right to underestimate Felix at all. We have to remember that this is a match between the players who are at the absolute top of the competition. My opinion is that when it comes to the top 10 like this, it generally tends to be a lot more competitive than people generally expect. This is going to be 50/50 in my opinion. But of course, my prediction is going to be Alcaraz.

Medvedev should be able to win against Tiafoe. This is a little easier for me to predict personally. I don't think Tiafoe is at the same level as Medvedev.

Likewise todays quarter final between Fritz and Sinner is difficult to call so I will hold off.
Fritz vs Sinner is another example of the top players playing against each other. If I had to predict, I would say Fritz. But that's just an absolutely personal opinion. It is better to not bet on anyone.

I see Medvedev becoming the favorite in this tournament after being able to get past his toughest challenger Zverev, in the quarterfinals he will face a relatively easier opponent and don't mean to underestimate his opponent but Medvedev is currently in his best condition it will be quite difficult for Fokina to stop him, so I don't think that Medvedev will lose in the quarter final match later

Felix Auger-Aliassime managed to beat T. Paul in a long battle, this was not an easy match for him. He needed 6 times to still play after Paul get match point several times, after trailing 3-6 during the tie break in the third set he was able to take all the points to close the match and advanced to face Alcaraz in the quarterfinals.

Danil Medvedev have won the quarter finals and progressed to Semi finals. He have won the match on direct sets 6-3 7-5. As said this match isn't tough as the one he played against Zverev. Alcaraz to play against Felix Auger Aliassime is going to be interesting.

This guy is amazing! He won 3 tournaments in a row and now eased past Davidovich Fokina right into the semis! On a Masters series tournament!

Anyway, match of the day today (for me) is Fritz v Sinner. I'm not going to bet on this just watch: it's gonna be entertaining!

Today's second ATP quarterfinal: Alcaraz v Auger Aliassime and I'm betting on Carlitos in this one. I just don't see the way how Felix can win this, sorry. Although 3 sets are possible.

WTA is pretty straightforward today: it's going to be an easy walk in a park for Rybakina and Swiatek. Rybakina is playing Muchova and Swiatek is taking on Sorana Cirstea. Cool

This is indeed anything but normal... Not too long ago I thought that Medvedev isn't stable enough in his performances, but what can I say now. Won three tournaments in a row and has good chances to take home the title for the Indian Wells as well. Even more surprising that he left his match in the third round of the Australian Open already, but for now it seems as if 2023 is going to be his year. But in the end it also comes down to winning at least one GS title in order for the season to be a perfect one. Sure he can still become rank #1 in the ATP rankings, but a GS title is what they are playing for. Now the next ones will be tough. Djokovic and Nadal will play all of the upcoming GS I guess.

On to the semi-finals against Frances Tiafoe on Saturday.
Oh I didn't know that he got injured in that match, after successfully advancing to the semifinals it seems it's not a serious problem for him, and Tiafoe was impressive enough to beat Norrie in two sets because i thought that semi-final would be between Medvedev vs Norrie but that didn't happen.

Alcaraz to play against Felix Auger Aliassime is going to be interesting.
This match will be held tomorrow based on my time, the quarter-finals will be an interesting match even though Alcaraz have never won against Aliassime but a different result is very likely because Aliassime against Paul seemed to often drop points when it shouldn't have happened, this match is likely to take place 3 sets and fortunately, according to the schedule, it will be held in the morning in my area so I can see the match between these two young players.
The other quarter-finals are no less interesting because Fritz vs Sinner are both good players who can make this match long with all possibilities.

Daniil Medvedev is looking like he about to win another match where he fell down and injured himself afterwards.
During his match against Alexander Zverev he rolled his ankle and it was looking like he was going to retire due to it as he laid there for about 3 minutes while the medical team looked at his injury. But he wrapped it, for the first time during a match he explained in the post interview, and continued on in the match and played the rest of the second set and then the entire third set to win the match. His odds were at some point over 4x closer to 5x as soon as he said he would play after wrapping his ankle. The oddsmakers didn't think he would win the match as he was still hobbling while walking on and off the court but said he was fine while running. Which was strange to everyone who witnessed the injury as it looked bad.
Just now he beat Alejandro Davidovich Fokina and it only took him two sets to do it.
He fell in this match and injured his thumb and it was cut pretty deep.
But he worked through the pain and finished the match without any difficulties one bit.
On to the semi-finals against Frances Tiafoe on Saturday.
