WOW - what a win by Janick over Carlos in 3 sets, did anyone have Janick backed?

I watched the 2 minute highlights on Tennistv.com and OMG it looks like it was a cracking
match. Tie break in the first set and then the final two sets were definitively Janick's.

I think he has a real chance of taking the title against Medvedev and Medvedev will
probably be happier not to play Alcaraz....

unfortunately I didn't bet.
the risk/reward ratio was very high to me and then ... it was Friday evening Sad impossible to follow such an event and bet live (I Always bet live games).

the final victory can be there... Sinner here in Miami really played at the highest levels. among other things, beating a number 1 atp is not such a frequent event Wink
the final against Medvedev will be epic...

Yes hopefully it will be epic! I listened to his interview after the match and he said himself
it will be different against Medvedev because of obviously his game play and court positioning.

I just checked the odds on Rollbit and there is nothing between them, Sinner 1.88,
Medvedev 1.88 - it really is anyones final eventhough I said earlier Janick
would win....

Kvitova v Rybakina

Rybakina has more chances of winning, Czech veteran had less time to rest as her match was yesterday. Otherwise, both girls have great serves and hit perfectly from the baseline. h2h is tied at 1:1. One more important fact - Kvitova is 10 years older than Rybakina. My bet is on Rybakina.

Get ready for another tennis night!

Yea I cant call this one eventhough Rybakina is favourite. I think it could go either way.

Sinner pulled of a surprise win against alcaraz he was a heavy underdog but seeing his results in the tournament he really deserve to be in the final, he has beating some big names and only lost one set against the top ranked player, the game against medvedev will surely be tough and entertaining and he might even win the tournament.

It was so impressive watching Sinner and Alcaraz battling it out. I can clearly see them as World no.1 and 2 respectively. Both are leaps and bounds ahead of the rest of the pack. Kinda sad for Dimitrov's gen and probably Zverev's that they had to endure the Big 3 and now the next gen are looking very solid. Hopefully not many injury concerns for them and we are in for a decade of top tier tennis.

Edit: Forgot to add Medvedev into the mix. Unorthodox but efficient. Entertaining tennis is here to stay.

Yeah, unlucky guys... Dimitrov, Zverev, Tsitsipas, Rublev, Thiem, Medvedev (he was late to the show) the "lost generation" of tennis. Outshadowed by the Big 3, lacking consistency and eternal "#1 material" and "golden boys".

Missed the match unfortunately. But yeah, Sinner is a much more comfortable opponent for Medvedev. And I think Daniil will win this time. He was not particularly confident against Khachanov, especially early in the match, but still managed to win. Only thing that makes me uncertain is that Medvedev had too much playing time lately and might be tired. Sinner is also a bit younger? Percent-wise I'd say 55% vs 45% in favor of the Russian. But I'll pass on this match, won't be betting this time.

Sinner broke the prediction that there would be a repeat in the final, Alcaraz lost in a long match of 3 sets, only saw the match in the 3rd set and it was really cool play from Sinner and Alcaraz made quite a few mistakes and 2x double faults in game 7th set 3 eased Sinner's steps to the final. In the final Sinner will face Medvedev who has previously qualified through a 3-set match with Khachanov. The two semifinal matches this time were really very tight and interesting matches.

In the women's final of Rybakina vs Kvitova, it seems that Rybakina will still not be stopped in the final, she is still too good, when she beat Pegula she showed a consistent performance.

This is great news for Djokovic as Alcaraz will now lose a lot of points by not winning this tournament, which will allow Djokovic to be the number one tennis player in the world again from Monday.
However, I must admit that I would have much preferred if the decision of the American Congress to lift the Covid restrictions had been made much earlier and if Djokovic could have played in these tournaments in America.
I'm sure we would watch great matches between him and Alcaraz in the fight for the position of the best tennis player in the world.

Had a bet on Alcaraz to beat Sinner in the first set and that one managed to land but it was a close one due to them taking it to a tiebreaker.
Yannik was 4-1 up in that set so I cashed out my bet which had Carlos 1st set winner which could of been a nice one since the stake amount was just over 10mbtc. So ended up with the same amount that I bet instead of 56mbtc payday.
Ah well, should get it back in some later bets I've placed to make up for that mess at cashing out early.

Carlito seems to be on a roll now after that mental relapse from the beginning of this matchup in the Miami Open.

Medvedev got the job done in 3 sets to reach 5 finals in 5 consecutive tournaments.

I like Daniil but if Alcaraz beats Sinner tonight to line up an Indian Wells repeat final I
really cant see him beating him. They have 2 very different styles but Alcaraz has a more
direct powerful one which trumps Medvedev's .
I wasn't able to watch the match between Medvedev and Khachanov, as predicted the first set have reached tie breaker and Medvedev have won it. Second set have been won by Khachanov 6-3, and third set could've been a fight back but it had went easier in favour of Medvedev. The second semifinals between Alcaraz and Sinner too have similar competence.

On the WTA side its Kvitova against Cirstea who has been really good in Miami. She is 1.97
to win and I'm going to back her.
You've predicted right and Kvitova have won it easier 7-5 6-4 to reach the finals. In the other match Rybakina have won against Pegula in direct sets with a tie breaker 7 7-63 6-4.

Right now, Khachanov is winning practically without the slightest difficulty against Cerundolo.
Ok well, between the two players there is certainly already a certain difference but the Russian is playing at really high levels Roll Eyes

Khachanov won really easily against Cerundolo in just a little over an hour. This was for him like a little hard training match and i think he will be ready for Medvedev and we can expect a good match between the Russian. Currently h2h is 3-1 for Medvedev but i think we can see a good match between them
Both Medvedev and Khachanov to face in the semifinals after the easy winning against Eubanks and Cerundolo. Both the players from Russia and were of the same age is even more interesting. The match is sure to reach the third set and I'm sure it'd reach tie breaker in atleast one set. Medvedev leads 3-1, among that 2 played in hard surface won by Medvedev and got higher chance of winning the match.

Sabalenka losing to Cristea in two sets was very unexpected, because I didn't think Cristea was able to hold Sabalenka well but Cristea was able to save important points and didn't give Sabalenka a chance even in the second set, Rybakina's path seems to be easier with the defeat of Sabalenka because she is the strongest competitor in the women's section

Yes, Sabalenka,s defeat is simply shocking. I watched the match and I have to say the key to success for Cirstea was her great attacking return of serve. I didn't believe my eyes how Sabalenka's play crumbled under pressure of Cirstea's return. IMO it was decisive factor but how easily the Romanian did it and such a small aspect of the game turned the tide completely. Sabalenka conceded so many double-faults at the most essential moments of the match that she simply had no chance.  Huh

This is why i dont like betting on women tennis. Too many upsets always happening and we dont have the same domination like in mens tennis. Sabalenka shocking lost and it was really an easy match for Cristea. She already made a big achivement reaching the semifinal

Tsitsipas has been not in his lucky day...sorry for your bet loose Trofo Sad

Meanwhile Sinner it seems is going to win easy against Ruusuvuori.
Well, there is a rain delay in this match but I don't think there is nothing much to do at this point for the finnish player.

Damn thats a bummer Trofo. I think at this stage Tsitsipas has let us down on matches
he "should" have won. I bet on him earlier in the tournament but in the later stages I limit
betting on him, I've just been let down too many times.

Sinner was too strong for Ruusuvuori, I did a bet on him to win the first set. I watched it
up until the rain interrupted play.
Sinner made it an easy winning 6-3 6-1. Ruusuvuori lost to Zverv in the Indian Wells and he fought till the end of the third set. This time he wasn't able to perform. Jannir got into the semifinals and all the players predicted to reach the semifinals will be performing better in the past. Tsitsipas losing the match in direct sets is completely unexpected, and remaining quarter finals scheduled for the day gives easy win as odds were completely in favour of Medvedev, Alcaraz and khachanov.

In the end it seems that bookies knew something we didn't.
It seems so and better to avoid the match we saw it's quite strange how the bookies give the odds, I feel there is no reason for Khachanov to be the favorite in that match because he has never won against Tsitsipas at all and his ranking isn't much better either, sorry for the loss

Alcaraz vs Fritz is still postponed so it will be held today, Medvedev and Khachanov look like they will have an easy match and make them go to the semifinals and face each other later, maybe in the final we will see Alcaraz vs Medvedev again and if it happens hopefully Medvedev's performance will be better than in Indiana Wells
