I see all the conversation is about Vienna tournament, understandably since it was stronger than St. Petersburg one, but I had been betting on this one much more. Mainly backing Cilic since he found his form for the first time in last couple of years and connected some nice victories in the past weeks. Wins against Khachanov and Agut were enough for me to force him until the tournament end. Backed him today and will do so again tomorrow in the final and then in Paris masters when it starts.
Cilic is a pretty good player in my opinion especially in his strong serve. I can even say that Cilic's points contributed through his serve can be more than 60% in one game.
but Cilic sometimes loses concentration in the middle of the game which makes him sometimes make unnecessary mistakes.
with the speed and strength of his serv, I think Cili will continue to grow even though he is at his age, he can be considered a veteran in the tennis world.
Nah I don't think he can grow to be honest, first of all serve alone is not enough as we can see players with massive serves are low in the leader board, also Cilic for me is done, and by done I mean he can't compete with big players, I think St Petersburg title is as big as he can win now, I Don expect to see anything crazy from him, very few players can do that at that age and i think he is not one of them.

I also severely doubt that Cilic will grow anywhere from here. The guy is 33 years old, his whole game is pretty much based on strong serves and if he faces a player with good tools to defend those serves, it is almost an automatic loss for Cilic. Players like the top 3 GOATs almost always found ways to defend his serves.

I'm going Anett Kontaveit over Simona Halep in their encounter in about twelve hours time:

  • Anett Kontaveit @ 1.78 - Taken Amount: 0.05 mBTC - Possible Payout: 0.09 mBTC

This is a very interesting match up, Halep has found some form coming back from
a big injury but Kontaveit is flying at the moment also, I think I will risk a bet on Kontaveit also.

And to Zverev v Tiafoe.....how are you all betting on this?

My thoughts:
Has Tiafoe enough energy to compete 24hrs later against Zverev?

Can Zverev deal with the massive audience support for Tiafoe?

Both players I think will have moments in the match where performance drops,
who will cope the best?

Zverev definitely has more experience to deal with the audience and to me
Tiafoe was well beaten yesterday before something happened between
Sinner and the audience.

I think I will go with Zverev.....

Double win today!

Zverev wins in 2 sets in a close enough game. His service game got him
out of trouble a few times and was essentially the difference.

Again Tiafoe played a really high level game with some seriously trick shots
made but the experience of Zverev was a bit too much.

5-7
4-6

And Kontaveit won with what looks like a hassle free match 2-6, 3-6
Looking at the stats obviously Kontaveit's is way better for example,
win % on 1st serve:

Halep44%
Kontaveit73%

It went very well for Zverev. Maybe it is his new girlfriend Sophia Thomalla who makes him perform his best! Tongue

I think he has a real chance to also take home the Paris Masters. As we all know he is definitely now able to beat everyone of the top 10.

It seems that Raducanu, after the greatest success in his career, winning the GS, can not repeat that success and win the tournament.
''Emma Raducanu's hopes of facing her idol Simona Halep in the Transylvania Open were ended by Marta Kostyuk in the quarter-finals.''
''And after her 57-minute defeat Raducanu said: "I was quite tired and lethargic but all credit to Marta." .''

Tired and lethargic? Really?
What is going on with this young girl?
It seems to me that the change of coach has not brought her any progress and that she should already start thinking about bringing a psychologist to her team.
It would be a great pity if such a talented tennis player fails to achieve a great tennis career due to high expectations and public pressure.
If nothing else, she has the support of her father and it certainly means a lot to her.
Some more of her thoughts:

"It is definitely taking me some time to find my feet still, I'm taking some learning from every match I play," she said.
"I'm not the finished product yet."

What do you think?

I would still give her some credit and time. The expectations are a lot higher than before and she need to cope with that pressure. It is too soon to tell if the coach change was a good idea; lets wait and evaluate after a couple of more tournaments.

I think she needs time. Remember she actually won the US Open before she even won a single regular WTA tour match (slams are ITF, not WTA), which is just crazy. She is completely new to the whole thing, and hasn't had the learning curve that other players have had. She's gone from nothing to suddenly being expected to win every match she plays. I can't imagine what the psychological impact of all this is. She probably needs at least a full season before we can start to get an idea of what she can achieve. At the moment there is a lot of raw talent, but also inexperience.

I think the higher expectation from the public put her under great pressure in these matches. As @Daniel91 said the addition of a psychologist could be a good decision. As depression or collapse from pressure won't be good for her this early in her career. She is a talented player no doubt. But factors like these also play a vital role in a player's career. I don't know if the coaching change was a wise decision or not. Hope she will bounce back.

^^ Hmm, I will also go with Zverev, but not ML.

I have bet the Over again, I'm thinking that Tiafoe as the crowd favourite will really need to push Zverev hard in this game if he wanted to have a good chance. But probably it will not be enough, so Zverev for me in 3 sets and Over.

What just happened?

Jannik Sinner serving for the match in the second set with 2 match points
and it all unravels for him after a very notable incident where someone in
the audience roared something, Sinner had to take a bit longer to serve??

Tiafoe wins 3-6, 7-5, 6-2

Some absolutely super tennis on display with some absolutely magic shots
by both players. Tiafoe is a real showman and he had the audience on his
side, I wonder did Sinner pick up on that?

I'll probably just got lucky picking on Tiafoe in this match, it was boosted so good odds for me.

I wasn't able to watch the match because of it is early AM here, but it seems that Sinner was on the way of winning the game with the first set 3-6 on his favor easy.

And then he was leading in the second before Tiafoe find another opportunity to dig deeper just like what he did against Tsitsipas.

So I will continue to bet on him in the finals maybe his streak of luck will continue.  Smiley

Wow, i have seen 2-5 in the second set for Sinner and i was thinking it was over and now i see that Tiafoe won this match. What a huge surprise in this match. I was already think Sinner won the match and was in the final but Tiafoe with another huge win on this tournament

Those are the moments where you need the courage to place a bet! Wink But I know one would hardly ever do that. Maybe small amount just for fun, but then again those games are hardly won by the player who is behind in such a situation.

Raducanu is in action now against Kostyuk who has taken the 1st set and
looking like taking the 2nd, its 1 - 5 there now.

Unfortunately she lost,  predictions will be tight turns out not, Raducannu has lost a lot of games.
My multibet in the ATP Vienna quarter-finals lost because I preferred over in the Ruud vs Sinner match, tight in the first set, not happen in the second set, Ruud lost too easily in the second set.
Zverev vs Sinner might be an ideal final but before they have to beat their opponents, Tiafoe is quite impressive here maybe he will surprise again.

I agree, I like Tiafoe chances against Sinner here, and the good thing is that he is the underdog so it's a very good and attractive bet. So I throw some couple of satoshi's for Tiafoe at ML as well and hopefully pull some upset.

Zverev's experience will be to much for Alcaraz to handle. I wouldn't be surprised if he beat Alcaraz in 2 sets and set a final match with Tiafoe.
spot on, you nailed those predictions, Tifaoe somehow managed to win the match even after losing the first set and being down 5-2 in the 2nd one, small details can change a lot on where the match is going in tennis, on the other hand Zverev had it easy against Alcarez who didn't stand a chance against him, I won't be expecting a lot from Tifaoe in the final, if Zverev starts serving well from the beginning, Tifaoe won't find a way to compete with him, Iam expecting a 2-0 for Zverev.

Not sure what happened there, Lol, but it's good that I won my Over bet.

Thought it was over in the first set, when Sinner won and then up like 3-1 in the second set. And then when I check the score Tiafoe was on a comeback and took the second set.

And we all know that when a player has the momentum, it's hard to stop, so I said that he will eventually win this game. Congrats as well who predicted that Tiafoe will win in this very close and tight match.

Sinner looking strong so far and he is also able to cause some trouble for the best ones on a good day, but Zverev looks very stable in his performances right now. I don't really see Sinner winning a final against Zverev, but then again Zverev also has incredibly bad performances at some days.

It's time for a tournament like Paris. That is more exciting to follow.
