Swartzman v Brooksby in the semi, that should be a cracker, Brooksby is playing
great and is slight favourite for this match, on Sportsbet he is 1.67 to 2.17 for Diego.

I am really unsure as to who to bet on, Brooksby has beaten everyone so far in 2
sets but Swartzman is playing with confidence here Huh

In the other final I have Sinner to beat Harris...

Well Diego Schwartzman is a clay player but is a much more experienced one as well. While Brooksby is really young but has a strange way of hitting the ball even Djokovic lost the first set to him trying to figure out how to play against him. I would go with Brooksby in this match.

Re Murray, yes it was a close second set to go to the tie break. Look everyone knows
Murray is not going to win a grand slam or possibly any tournament. He can compete
generally up to R3 depending on who he meets.

Yeah, he can still play the game as this point of his career, although the chances of winning a slam is silm to none.

It also has to be said that Swartzman had a good game also, Diego can be unpredictable
a lot of the time with his results, yesterday happened to be a good day for him.

Diego Schwartzman still amazes me many times, I agree that he is unpredictable, yes he can reach round of 32 or 16 and after that, I have witnessed how he crumble on the pressure and lost bigger games. But in the last 2-3 tournaments, he looks very solid again. I won't bet against him in the future, Lol.

And this is not Schwartzman favorite surface, that's why I would tend to agree that he surpasses all expectations again reaching the semis. However, he is the second seed in this tournament and maybe that's the main reason as he enjoy playing in Antwerp.

Brooksby vs Fokina is not even close, well at least in the first set, but in the second set it was a love set. So they have setup their semi finals, Brooksby vs Schwartzman.

Murray vs Schwartzman, weird it's Murray that is now the odds favourite to win @1.82 ML vs Diego's @1.95.

I'd have Schwartzmann as favourite. Murray has more talent and ability, but his injuries mean he's not the player he was, and he can't sustain top-level performance for the duration of a tournament. His first round match was long and draining (3h45m), so I would pick Schwartzmann to win this one. But then my record in tennis betting is awful. Cheesy

Seriously, I have no idea why they would put Murray as a favorite. He does still have his moments, but as you said his health is going to hold him back again and again as he can't have the same trust in his body that he used to have. It is not even something like a home game for Murray.
Especially if it is going to be a three sets game I would most likely bet on Schwartzmann. I wish for Murray to be able to perform at his best though. Always good to see people trying to fight their way back.

Yeah. I think I would probably just steer away from betting either way on a Murray match at the moment. Certainly Schwartzmann should be favourite, but Murray is the more talented player, and if he somehow has recovered and brings his best game and is able to hold it together, then he will win... so whilst Schwartzmann should win, there's just no guarantee at all, because there are such huge question marks over Murray. I think there are easier matches to bet on.

Yes you put that well, there is never a guarantee indeed, and that is why I usually always refrain from calling a bet being easy money. This one also was not easy money, but the odds were just, well, odd! Wink They were indeed odd and bookmakers should know better. Or were the odds that way because people already bet so much on Murray that bookmakers' algorithms adjusted the odds accordingly?

Correct, although he is trying to bring back the clock, however, with that injury of his, he can't play high level tennis anymore. Good to see him winning and defeating good players, but that's it. He can't go back and be on his prime.

I think Murray still loves the game too much but he should indeed retire. He can still win matches against good players but after 2-3 matches his body can't handle it anymore. It is the same for Kim Clijsters also.

Unfortunately Murray lost in straight sets to Schwartzman, the second set was tighter with a tie break, it is undeniable that he will more difficult to compete with young players if the previous matches have been very draining.
Today I have 4 bets at wta moscow quarterfinals are all over 19.5, just my predictions all matches will be tight maybe three sets or at least one set will go through tie break.
I have to say the harsh truth that Murray has left his golden days way far behind in the past. Even when he returned to the court, I was concerned about how well he would be but now it's clear that aging has got the better of him.  Congrats to Schwartzman for winning the game and I think Murray is nearing the end of his career.

Speaking of Schwartzman he just beat Nakashima and will be waiting for the winner of Davidovich Fokina and Brooksby. So far the match is very close at 6-5 and Davidovich Fokina to serve to force a tie-break.

Yeah, he was really close though in the first specially in the second, he could have pull a miracle again in that tie-break.

Goodluck mate, I haven't really bet on the WTA Moscow. More on looking at the Antwerp Open.

Currently Brooksby vs Fokina I have this match Over 21.5

Same with the Sinner vs Harris, thinking this can go to 3 sets Over 22.5

Murray again losing after a win or two at the start of the tournament and isnt able to even compete for the title. I think he wants badly to win a tournament but his gameplay is far from a good level. He beats a solid player like Tiafoe but loses to Schwartzman that is good mostly only on clay

Is it just me or top 10 looks kind of weak this year? Ruud and Norrie are good players but not top 10 at least for me. They have consistency but I don't see them competing for biggest titles which a top 10 player should be able to do on regular basis. Berretini and Hurkacz are not that consistent but they can compete with anybody when in form.
Wanted to check if I am biased so went googling and found following on Wikipedia. This is weakest top 10 in last 20 years for me. But ok there is still time till year end and maybe we will see some changes.
It's partly that Federer and Nadal are on the way out. For most recent years we've had Murray at his peak, too... who would consistently beat anybody other than the big three. We still have Djokovic, but that's it. So the players that are rated #2 to #10 this year, would in prior years have been #5 to #13. The depth of talent right at the very top isn't there any more. Whilst it's good that more players can realistically compete for tournament victories, this is a direct consequence of the fact that Djokovic is the last invincible player still out there.

The thing is that we were too accustomed to the big three, Djokovic, Nadal, Federer, and add Murray to that. Now that these senior players are decaying every day we are not seeing the best from them which is normal. That is why the top 10 looks so dull. But still, there are some promising players like Medvedev or Zverev, nothing compared to how it was in the big 3 era.

It could be the weakest top 10 in the last 20 years, but we all know that we can't compare eras. The game was played 5 sets in the past, wherein it was change in the last couple of years to 3 sets for non Grand Slam events.

And maybe this contribute for players to be inconsistent as well as possible they can bounce back even if down 2-1 in a set for a 5 setter match, just my honest opinion.

Norrie is currently 10th in the race. If we assume (and I think we can) that Nadal will not take part, then that puts Norrie in 9th.

6. Berrettini 4,000
7. Ruud 3,015
8. Nadal 2,985
9. Hurkacz 2,955
10. Norrie 2,795

He won't catch Berrettini. So if Nadal isn't competing, he just needs to overtake either Hurkacz (160 points above) or Ruud (220 points above).
Given how consistent Norrie has been this season, it's certainly possible. Alternatively if someone else above him (as well as Nadal) pulls out, then he's made it so long as he maintains his current position.

I see your point, Ruud in #7, I thought the likes of Sinner for example would be
higher up. Its definitely a strong top 5 or 6 though.

1Novak Djokovic  8,370
2Daniil Medvedev 6,740
3Stefanos Tsitsipas  5,650
4Alexander Zverev  5,095
5Andrey Rublev 4,165
6Matteo Berrettini4,000

The points dont lie, these are the big points winners of this year so far
and disregarding Nadal, the most consistent.

I placed a few bets on him to win a set and he was not able to do so and i am not sure whether is continuous health issues is the reason for not showcasing the performance his capable to perfrom.

Maybe Norrie can make it to ATP Finals for this year?
Maybe if he can get more points it will be very possible to atp finals, before november.

Norrie is currently 10th in the race. If we assume (and I think we can) that Nadal will not take part, then that puts Norrie in 9th.

6. Berrettini 4,000
7. Ruud 3,015

I think the top 6 are already assured of a slot in the ATP finals.

So there's only 2 slots remaining at the tournament needs 8 players, So it will be a battle between Hurkacz and Norrie for the last spot, Ruud getting the 7 and Nadal is out. So not sure if he can catch up Hurkacz for 8th spot.

Schwartzman winning the first set against Murray 6-4. And is also leading the second set now, it's going to be hard for Murray to recover from this match.
