Yesterday was pretty uneventful, Đoković was too strong for Berrettini. Tomorrow will be a beauty though, not sure which game I'll pick to watch.
I'll probably go with Đoković - Zverev because it is the bigger one on paper but I have a feeling that better tennis will be played by Aliassime - Medvedev.
If I had to pick a favorite based on the tennis played so far, I'd go with Medvedev. Hope he wins it.
That's correct after losing the first set, Djokovic won the following 3 sets confidently. And will meet Zverev in the semifinals, who is also in very good shape right now. What do you think Djokovic will manage to make it to the final and have the chance to win all 4 Grand Slams in one year?
In the final one of the two will probably meet Medvedev, but I think Djokovic and Zverev are stronger?

Yes, yesterday's matches were a bit dull but we are in for a treat for tomorrow. Two really high voltage matches with so much at stake. These matches will be a banger to watch. The Djokovic vs Zverev should be a nail-biter. Not to forget about the Alliassime vs Medvedev one, these two are also really skilled. Great day coming ahead tomorrow.

How strong Djokovic is, after losing the first set like the previous matches he immediately took three sets with convincing numbers, I bet on 9.5 overs in the first set and under 41.5.

That's how Djokovic are in this tournaments, it seems that he is willing to drop a set and then just overwhelm his opponent, the last 3 match of his has this pattern of dropping one set.

I got the Over 35.5 so I'm good. In the ladies, it was unpredictable, Raducanu upsets  Bencic and then Sakkari over Pliskova.
Yes it seems that djokovic is looking comfortable in this tournament to be willing to drop a set against a strong opponent like berretini but the semi final will be a tough one and i am sure he will be focused from the start since zverev now in my opinion is the strongest version of himself and i expect a tight game with more than 3 sets.

I think its like Djokovic likes to lose his first set and then turns on beast mode and just destroyes his opponents. They keep winning the first set but after that they dont stand a single chance against Novak. Also won on Sakkari some nice in-play bets she was serving really good against Pliskova

I have ML multi-betting for Bencic and Pliskova, obviously I lost my bet on that one.

I should have stick with the mens and go over again. I think I will go on the same strategy FAA vs Medvedev. I think Medvedev will have the edge here, but maybe Felix can win at least a set. Djokovic vs Zverev will be the best match between the two semis, this could end in a 5 set match.

How strong Djokovic is, after losing the first set like the previous matches he immediately took three sets with convincing numbers, I bet on 9.5 overs in the first set and under 41.5.

Women's semifinals:
L. Fernandez vs. A. Sabalenka
E. Raducannu vs. M. Sakkari
Hopefully in this semi-final both young players are not nervous and still play well to give tight resistance to both seeded players and surely this year there is a new U.S. Open champion for women's sections

If those two young ones can continue their mind set and not let the occasion itself
beat them mentally they can reach the final.

The odds on sportsbet are:

L. Fernandez 3.60 - 1.29 A. Sabalenka
E. Raducannu 2.24 - 1.65 M.Sakkari

I think Raducanu has a better chance against Sakkari, obviously the odds state that,
from her interviews she seems 'wiser' than her years suggest.

They are up against 2 big hitters so it going to be tough and very interesting to watch.

How strong Djokovic is, after losing the first set like the previous matches he immediately took three sets with convincing numbers, I bet on 9.5 overs in the first set and under 41.5.

I admit I have lost interest in men's tennis a bit. No matter how well someone plays, you know that Djokovic will beat them. You almost know before the start of the tournament that there is effectively zero chance of anyone else winning the thing. In his last three matches at this tournament he has lost the first set - and yet how much tension and excitement did that bring? Zero. It was always inevitable even from a set down that Djokovic would win. I do hope someone beats him at some stage, just to relieve the monotony. We need another top men's player. No-one else can match him at the moment.

Well Djokovic is up against Zverev in this semi final, at the moment Zverev is only 1 of 2
whi has a possibility to stop him, the other is Medvedev. I would at least hope for a 5 setter
against Zverev if he is to win.

I think Medvedev will be a "bridge too far" for Felix AA.

Shelby Rogers just said that she might receive nine million death threats following her loss against Emma Raducanu in the US Open. Undecided This has to be coming from her from her past experiences. I don't know what kind of low-minded people send death threats to these players after a loss. This culture needs to be stopped. Angry Even the players are human beings, even they have a life. Would you threaten her, that is not cool.

These stars getting death threats have become so normal these days. These kinds of death threats have a severe impact on their mental health. Which sometimes impacts their lifestyle or even social life, let out playing good. These people should be taken under the law.

odds tonight are showing that Zverev and Djokovic will met in semi-final, and it is pretty certain that it will happen in the end
Zverev is a bit higher @1.15, and Djokovic is really low @1.12 against Berrettini, which shows inequality on tennis top players, three players from top10 are on Djokovic way to the title, and odds to win the tournament are around @1.5

nevertheless, planning to take over games on Djokovic - Berrettini match, waiting to see best possible number

The match is about to start, it should have started earlier, but we have some delays.

I'm thinking of taking the under though on the Djokovic vs Berrettini, I have a feeling that Djokovic will not allow or not drop in this match so that he can headed on the next match win at least good rest.

So goodluck to all bettors, and we do hope to see Zverev vs Djokovic in the semifinals.

Auger-Aliassime vs Alcaraz Garfia is live now, it seems that Felix has the upper hand in the first set as he broke early to lead 4-2 and serving.
I also wanted this to be a marathon 5th set with tie breaks in the game, Alcaraz Garfia is one of the darlings of the crowd now and they are cheering for him to win to advance.
Edit: it was a walk-over, Felix going to advance to semis. Alcaraz retired due to injuries. Sad ending to this anticipated match.
That it pretty sad to know that Alcaraz had to walk over because of his injury. So far the match was quite entertaining. It would have been really great to see if he could come back on the basis of the crowds cheering and win the game but it is what it is. Congrats to Felix for winning but yes, I wanted the whole match to be played.
I supported him from the beginning, The first time I saw him, he has the soul as a legend, this is made me quite disappointed, just lost a little bet either. He is a young player but with high pressure, he is quite tense maybe he's not ready yet and of course, he still needs a lot of experience in the grand slam tournament, I hope the next year or the next game he has enough confidence.

Perhaps he bit off more than he can chew, but this is an eye opener for him, he is still very young and aggressive and maybe this is the main reason why he injured so bad that he can't continue the match.

He will just have to recovered from the injury and for sure he will be back in the circuit. He has the mold to  be one of those who are going to rise up in the future.

I am of course biased and getting carried away because she's from my country, but Raducanu really looks like she should have a great career, provided she can stay clear of injury.

She's just taken 5 games in a row to win the first set against Bencic, 6-3. One-way traffic at the moment.
Can't believe this is only her second ever grand slam, and she needed 3 rounds of qualifying just to get into the main draw!

Even if she loses today, a phenomenal tournament from her.

--

Edit: Well, she won... 8 matches played so far at the US Open including the qualifying... yet to drop a set  Shocked

But of course it gets harder with each round, and she will not be expected to win the semi.

She is a wonder just as Fernandez is also. They are both doing so well because they
obviously have talent but they have something which their current opponents dont have,
Nothing to lose! from their after match interviews they both state they were playing
to enjoy the experience. Next season there will be more expectations and pressures.

Look at Halep, Muguruza and Osaka for example, they were all touted as the next
great thing but havent quite lived up to expected potential for various reasons,
Physical and mental health..

Hopefully Raducanu and Fernandez can hold their current mental ability and carry it forward

Really unbalenced games i did not bet on either of them and now zverev is moving toward a 3 0 win with a possible 6 0 win in the last set he is really on another level i think he and djokovic are at the same level and the odds should be close if they meet in the semi finals.

Which country is that? If I am not wrong she plays for UK but her name sounds Romanian. Was wandering what is the story behind that but not enough to google it Smiley
Yes, UK. Smiley
She was born in Canada to a Romanian father and Chinese mother, but she has lived in the UK since she was 2 years old.

Raducanu got me a lot of winning bets this tournament, and then today I decided to go against her. I was expecting Bencic to start strong but did not expect that 5 games in a row from Raducanu. Serves me right for not believing in her, but both Raducanu and Bencic were my choices this tournament and I sided with experience. In retrospective, should have skipped betting on this one.
The thing with Raducanu is no-one really knows what her level is. This is only her second real tournament after Wimbledon a couple of months ago. I don't expect her to win the tournament, but when you watch her play, it's difficult to believe she's 18. A lot of young players can pull out brilliant shots, but her mental attitude and decision-making really stand out, almost like she's burst onto the season as a fully-seasoned and experienced professional, and now, unbelievably today she has become the British number one Cheesy Not bad for someone who was ranked 366 in the world back in June.
