^^ I bet on Rublev vs Tiafoe, Unfortunately, I have Rublev winning, so it's a bad bet for me.

After the Tsitsipas lost I thought that there will be no surprises anymore, but I was wrong.

Probably the "safe" bet is Djokovic vs Nishikori or Medvedev vs Evans, but who knows.

Alcaraz Garfia vs Peter Gojowczyk, I do love to see Alcaraz continue to win and see how far he can go in this very tough tournament, lots of promises for this kid, still 18 but already beaten a top player in Tsitsipas.

Haven't seen the match between Berettini and Moutet, good second set for Moutet, but that's it, Berrettini won the next two games.

I think Karatsev vs Thompson is also a good match, stretches to 5 set, Thompson winning the first 2 sets, but then lost 3 straight, including the last one, 6-1.

Game to watch tomorrow, Bautista-Agut vs FAA.
Berettini vs Ivashka.
Its an interesting game between berretini and ivashka both are doing good berretini reaching 3 finals an one title and not to mention reaching wimbeldon final and ivashka winning winston salem atp and not losing a set in the last six games i personaly think this will be a tight game with more than three sets and even ivashka can win this one.

Bautista-Agut vs FAA was also another 5 set match. FAA was in control of the match in the first two sets and then Bautista-Agut claim the last 2.

And I thought that Baustista-Agut can win the match in the 5th. But FAA took control early and didn't give up and won the game.

Rublev vs Tiafoe - tied 1-1, going into the 3rd set. I have Rublev -5.5 but not sure if he can won with this handicap. I should have gone maybe over, but let's see.

Ah yes I thought Felix AA would win that, it was always going to be close.

Rublev v Tiafoe, thats a big win by Tiafoe to beat the no.5 seed, I didnt bet
on any of those games.

I did bet on Osaka to beat Fernandez but sadly in a close match Osaka lost.

I am interested in Tsitsipas vs. Alcaraz, this would have been easy for Tsitsi couple of months ago but now I feel he started to lose his form and we could have much closer match. Maybe even upset. My bet is on Alcaraz +7.5 @1.75. Was thinking between that one and Alcaraz to take at least one set.

Very good call my man, shame I didn't take this upset, bt the odds wasn't big enough to interest me even with a boost. Even thought I might have a Medvedev chances at the Sportsbet special yesterday (3-0, no tie breaks, but missed 3.5 aces a set).

Osaka, Tsitsi out to a precocious teen, and I missed betting on both, but I'll keep a closer eye out on weekend.

All the favorites in the Atp part of US open are slowly losing. Djokovic has his path wide open to the semi finals . I think he will win it all in straight sets. Medvedev also playing really good i think now we can already expect a final between these two. Djokovic is fighting for history !
I watched almost whole match between Tsitsi and Alcaraz yesterday (except that 4th set which ended 6:0) and I must say this match was all about Alcaraz. Tsitsi played really well but Alcaraz just blew him of the court. He had more than 40 winners against fast player who does not let you score winners. This guy is going to top 10 fast and I am betting on him till the end of tournament. I just hope for some good odds, but this win has put him on everyone's radar and all odds on him keep dropping. If he can keep hitting the ball like yesterday I am thinking even Djokovic would loose first 2 sets before scraping the third and then winning the match Smiley

When you think young Spanish player, you always have an image of some clay specialists who can keep the ball in play forever. Could not be farther from truth for Alcaraz. Maybe best thing to explain it for someone who did not watch him play is to paraphrase his answer when Spanish press called him new Nadal and he said he does not want to compare to other players but if he has to choose one it would be Federer.

What has been happening with Osaka lately?
''Naomi Osaka says she will take another break from tennis after her US Open title defence ended in the third round.''

Osaka has had certain psychological problems for a long time, avoids talking to journalists, cancels numerous tournaments, does not play well for a long time etc.
At one point it seemed that she could become the new Serena and future great tennis champion and now it seems that one great tennis career could end soon.
It's a pity, but it seems that Osaka did not withstand the great pressure of the public.
What do you think?

Wasn't this very similar for Borg? It reminds me of his career, from theguardian:

"The silence of Borg that was misunderstood"

He was also suffering from psychological issues. It shows how important it is for those top players to find the right balance. That is why it is so impressive how Serena or Steffi Graf or the trio in men's tennis is performing on a high level for such a long time. It is obviously not only about the physical condition, but so much about your psychological condition. Hopefully she comes back healthy, she deserves it.

I think slowly but surely we should start a bidding thread on the length of Tsitsipas' toilet breaks per every single game. The whole sport hasn't seen such a behavior on a consistent level like that ever. This guy is so shameless, we aren't talking three minute breaks. He literally disappears around 10 minutes every single game. And he always does it in critical moments. I bet that there will be a change in rules for the upcoming year.

One rule change that was suggested was that the other player is allowed to consult his or her coach when one player is off for a toilet break. I think that is the least they can do to make it more fair. Otherwise it is a joke if every single game you know that guy can disappear and even take his phone with him.

This late night match was tight, now set 5, Tiafoe was able to break Rublev's serve early in the 5th set, I have two bets on this match over 9.5 in the first set and won, also under 51.5 looks like it will also win because Tiafoe is already 4-0.

Surprising results in the women's section, Naomi Osaka lost to an unseeded player.

What a game between Alcaraz and Tsitsipas, it was a five set thriller, Alcaraz goes up 2-1 and then Tsitsipas comes back strong in the fourth set 6-0 to force a decider, but Alcaraz out last top 3 in the world.

I didn't bet on Tsitsipas here, I knew that he might get in trouble as Alcaraz is really a lot of promise and he is trained by by Toni Nadal — the uncle and ex-coach of Rafael. Just 18 years old but a lot of promise on this kid.

Yes, both are playing good Tennis ATM, Ivashka has a chance at beating Berrettini.

Just like RBA is slight favourite against Felix AA but Felix has a good chance to win that match.

Karatsev v Brooksby has close odds too, this could go either way but I'm siding with Brooksby.

I would be the same like you for Alcaraz. I think he even might win this match against Tsitsipas. Alcaraz is playing amazing in the last few tournaments even got his first title not long ago as well. Also Tsitsipas is really struggling again in the early round so this match can go the distance.

-snip-
I also think a bath break should take not longer than 5 minutes at max. and if you are not back by then you should get a punishment.
I think it will be evaluated soon, like when a lot of protested because many players took too long to serve and then there was a time rule.

Djokovic will face Kei Nishikori in the third round, seeing as their H2H Djokovic is leading 17-2, and seeing in the second round he played very effectively it looks like there are no surprises for this match, maybe Nishikori will take a set but Djokovic will win and go to next round.

Enough with the Tsitsipas drama, you know that I'm a big fan of his, but I'm also sort of sad to see his name being dragged as sort of cheating or taking advantage of the rules.

Djokovic vs Griekspoor - 2 sets already for Djokovic, I think he will win in three set. I haven't seen the handicap pre-betting, but it could be -10.5 again, and possible to cover it.

Shapovalov vs Baena, - I have Shapovalov, betting at Over 31.5, probably will go four setter.

As I said the rules are there to be used, and Tsitsipas ATM uses that bathroom break rule
to the max, but its questionable because he is the only one doing it. I like Tsitsipas too.

One on the commentators  on Amazon Prime made the analogy during the Berrettini v
Moutet match as follows:

One of the best Rugby captains of all time played the "offside" rule to the max and
was many times penalised for doing so. Hes was pinged so many times that someone
asked him "do you actually know the offside rule?" His reply was: "yes, but it all depends on who is the ref."
That was Richie McCaw of New Zealand

On that Berrettini v Moutet match yesterday, it was such a great one, Berrettini back from
an injury and Moutet on fire for the first 3 sets, taking the second. In the fourth set his
discipline collapsed and Berrettini took the match.

I know I’m gonna get lot of hate for saying this but Tsitsipas isn’t wrong in exploiting the rule, because I see nothing wrong here as he found a loophole and he’s not wrong in using it, and it’s the duty of the officials to close the loophole.

Also Djokovic won the match comfortably, and he seems to be on a good streak so in my personal opinion he can definitely make it to the finals.
