Alexander Zverev dreams of a medal at the Olympics, possibly even gold. But I think the gold medal will only be won over Djokovic. And that will be a difficult task, because Djokovic is in top form.

https://www.eurosport.de/tennis/olympia-tennis/2021/zverev-hat-grosse-ziele-fuer-olympia-doch-djokovic-koennte-der-spielverderber-sein_sto8425803/story.shtml

The other top stars like Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, Matteo Berretini, Denis Shapovalov or Dominic Thiem have cancelled the tournament.

Is there already an official list of participants and on which surface will be played in Tokyo, hard court?

Rinderknech is leading in the first set against bautista agut with a really poor performance from bautista i made a bet on bautista to win 2 0 and it looks like that i am going to lose a really big amount of money i hope bautista will recover on this set.

^^ Good for you. I'll probably look for the Shapovalov vs Kopriva match.

Probably a -4.5 handicap can be cover by Shapovalov and the risk is much lower.

Djere vs Bergs already happening as of now, Djere is the favorite to win but I'll pass on this match. I'm not that familiar with those names, specially Bergs.

I put a small bet on this match, under 20.5. I think Djere can win this one with scores of 6-4, 6-4.

He is leading the first set, have an early break, 2-1 now he is serving. I do hope though that he can hold serve here, as Bergs is coming back strong.

Edit: Bergs did return and break him, score is 2-2 now, and he is serving.

So the US Open Grand Slam is over a month away, I cannot see any tournaments
where the big names are playing, are the olympics the main focus of many now or
are there other tournaments which will be used as lead ins to the US GS?

There is this tournament Swiss Open, but no big names and this is clay so I doubt that is in preparation for US Open.

Shapovalov is rank number 1 in it and he will have a match today in the round of 16.

There could be other tournaments arounds or maybe some high rank players are just taking a breather.

Yes, started to bet on that tournament as well with a parlay.

But I have one bet voided, Feliciano Lopez vs Huesler, I have Lopez +0.5 and he was leading the 3rd set 6-5, unfortunately, Huesler retired. Possible that I can also win that match if the score ended up 7-5 in favor of Lopez. Looking for a Delbonis and Dere parlay later.

Here is the result of my Delbonis and Dere parlay:

Lots of good matches to look for and bet, Bautista-Agut as the second set will play and so is Delbonis again and Garin. Thinking to do another play on the 3 but it's riskier because we all know that one lost could derail the parlay. But let's see, the matches is like 9 hours from now.

Some nice clay games with good odds today and I believe that all bellow matches have clear value and odds on favorites should be lower. But probably bookies know more than me and final results will go against my bets Smiley
Martin Andrej to win against Caruso @1.8, Caruso is totally out of form and if this was played anywhere but Umag I would go with high stakes. Umag is a bit special tournament where players often go to have good fun and not so much to play serious tennis so be careful.
Griekspoor to win against Londero @1.7
Rinderknech to win against Stricker @1.7

^^ Yeah, that's the problem with this kind of small to mid tier tournaments, lots of unrecognisable names so it's really hard to bet.

Good for you guys if you are in a winning streak. I'll probably pass on this one, waiting for other tournaments in the calendar specially the US Open. Delbonis could be a good bet though and Shapovalov.

I would think the opposite @btc_angela because there are only a handful of top players
as above there chances of winning are greater, ok their odds may be quite low but with
a parlay or even as a LARGE single bet it offers a chance to win, not WIN BIG but win anyway.

Thats my 2satoshis anyway.

Actually I also see Casper Ruud is playing he is ceeded 3 behind Shapovalov at 1!

Actually another parlay over today and tomorrow is:
Today: Delbonis v Riedi
Tomorrow: Shapovalov v Kopriva
Other than the two above, Paire, Ymer and Dennis Novak I dont recognise any names.

Just looking at this schedule > https://www.espn.com/tennis/schedule

Olympics starting in 3 days so after this we will see more top players enter the hard
court tournaments in preparation for the US.

until then we can make some profits hopefully with the above players.

I already lock in my bet for the Delbonis vs Busta, over 22.5 @1.89.

I think this will be a classic thriller, both are really pretty much playing amazing, have come back victories in the brink of a loss. Hard to see who will win that's why I go with the over here. There could be sets wherein there will be a tie-break so that's already 13 totals.
Yeah its a pretty good bet both with stunning performance even if i saw that delbonis had more strugle in this tournament especially in the last game but he still got the win after been down one set and that will give him more motivation i think that we will see three sets in this game.

Lost my bet on Delbonis vs Busta. Yes, I have predicted that there will be a tie break and it did happen, but in the second set, it was only 6-3 so totals is just 22.

For the finals, I think I will go with Krajinovic ML here, he is really playing high level tennis and full of confidence after he beat Tsitsipas. He is the underdog so a money line will be a good bet.

I didnt bet on Delbonis v Carreno Busta, I some of the games in the first set,
Delbonis was playing well but obviously Carreno Busta was able to get on top.

Very interesting final now with Krajinovic v Carreno Busta, really too close to call,
I think i'll go with the slight favourite Carreno Busta

I think Carreno Bustas experience in the final stages of tournaments will help
him through, for what thats worth.

I was wrong again, as others have said, Krajinovic was pretty much done in the first set alone.

As if he is just cruising, his aggressiveness is not there against Tsitsipas.

First ATP for Carreno-Busta and won't be the last for sure, he could be one day contend for any clay court tournament moving forward.

I was not happy with krajinovic performance i thought after the great show he put against tsitsipas that today he can put the same performance but i guess its not easy against carreno busta he is doing great recently and in the last couple of years he proved himself congratulation for him i think he will make it in top 10.
Right, Krajinovic is somewhat of a disappointment in the finals, he was the underdog but not that far though. With the strength of his win against the top seed Tsitsipas, we are hoping that somewhat we will bring his A-game in this finals against Busta. But he lost and I would say demolished easily by Busta in straight sets. For Busta, he is playing really very well in the past tournament whether grass or clay, expecting him to continue this and break into the top 10.

^^ Yes, it was a strong performance by Carenno-Busta.

I have a good output in this tournament, was 3 out 3 bets win for me.

I wanted to parlay him with Casper Rudd vs Coria, I could have won more. But a win is a win so I will take it anytime.

Pablo Carenno Busta did really well and is at home on the clay court.
Winning this title, his second of the year and after losing to Querrey
at Wimbledon, a round 1 match kind of proves his clay court speciality.

The stats for the match today are quite strong, ins from the service
were in the high percentages, and of course 3 break points won also.

close call, and agree that Busta is more experienced that Krajinovic, but it is Filip's chance to lift the trophy, and he will play his best today
match started good for Filip, took his serve after break points, which is always great for self-confidence, and I am on his side

Busta just took his serve, it is 1:1 in first set

It seems that Busta is very close to winning this match, the current result is 6:2, 5:3 for him.
Has anyone watched a very emotional broadcast from America, the official entry of Ivanisevic into the Tennis Hall of Fame?
There has probably never been another tennis player in history who has had such an emotional impact on his fans and destroyed their nerves so many times  Grin
Bravo Goran!
