As I have said, F. Auger Aliassime vs Humbert is going to be close and it can go either way. And in the end, it was Umbert who muscle enough energy to close the game in the time break.

So it will be Umbert vs Rublev in the Halle final. I will go with Rublev by 3 sets win.

Nadal skipping Wimbledon is bad news for the tennis world. Would have liked to see a final between him and Djokovic. I don't see Federer making it very far. The young players outpace him more and more and he needs a ton of outstandingly amazing days to compete with the younger generation. Who knows, maybe it is his last Wimbledon is he fails early in the tournament.

Nadal skipping the Olympic games and wimbledon is big news. This will affect the tournament big and its quality i really dont see anyone from the younger generations making a dent on Djokovic, maybe tsitsipas to get close or some good serve player but other then that this should be an easy win for Djokovic
it is getting a little boring with Djokovic dominating, i don't see Tsitsipas being the next number one player, maybe Medvedev or Thiem, Tsitsipas showed good quality tennis on clay, but still did not defeat Djokovic, from my opinion i think Thiem would be the next number one player, i have seen him play on hard with no problem and actually pretty good, and also on clay, didn't see a lot of grass tournaments though.

True I also forgot the Olympics, that's sad as well. I somewhere read that Nadal was injured prior to playing against Djokovic at the French Open? I understand he might have to skip Wimbledon, but Olympia as well? Damn they have the best doctors in the world 24/7 at their sides, I wonder if Nadal's injury is really severe or if he is just cautious. Both Federer and Nadal will now keep skipping more and more tournaments while Djokovic seems to be as fit as in his 20s (or even fitter). If he doesn't get frequently injured and has to skip any majors, I have no doubts he will definitely take the lead in the majors title ranking. And to be honest, just by judging him as a player, he deserves it.

Tsitsipas is not good at grass or fast surface, he is a clay court specialist. I'm seeing either Medvedev or Zverev from the young gen to challenge Djokovic in the Wimbledon. They have what it takes, but they have to be 110% ready and prepared not just their body but their mind as well that they can win against the top seed. Otherwise, Djokovic will have an easy grand slam victory again.

The very best who should be able to play well on any surface. There are exceptions of course, haven't federer, Djokovic and Nadal already won all Grand Slam tournaments once? Nadal always excels on clay, but this year Djokovic was too good / tsitsipas is the future number 1

Maybe that now gives Serena a chance to finally win one GS tournament after a long break.
Don't think so. She does not have the constant any more and I believe she will not be able to beat players Like Barty, Sabalenka or Andrescu. They have the fire power to make her run and then her game just falls apart.

Rublev started strong against Basilashvili, hopefully he will continue in the same way since I have him on my morning multi ticket.

I agree with you but it is obvious that for older players like Federer and Nadal it is very difficult to follow this very intense tennis tournament schedule, due to fatigue and frequent injuries.
It is only a matter of time before younger players like Thiem, Zverev, Medvedev, Tsitsipas and others start winning big GS tennis tournaments and the big three finally retire.
Until that happens, let’s enjoy another year or two of the tennis magic of the Big Three and a rivalry that will never be repeated in the history of any sport.
Given Nadal's withdrawal, Djokovic is clearly the biggest favorite to win Wimbledon.
I’m sorry that Osaka also gave up performing at Wimbledon in the women’s competition.
Maybe that now gives Serena a chance to finally win one GS tournament after a long break.

Rublev in two sets vs Kohlschreiber, So now the semis have been set up,

1. Rublev vs Basilashvili
2. F. Auger Aliassime vs Humbert

I would say it will be Rublev vs Felix Auger-Aliassime. Will be a big test for Felix to reach the finals here or even upset Rublev.

It will be a tough match between Auger Aliassime vs Humbert, it can go either way here.

@Trofo - yeah, total adjustments for those players who prefer clay, now it's grass time that's why it's hard to predict the game.

Sad to hear that Osaka also pulled out, but obviiously as he admitted that she has inner demons to deal with first. So I'm not expecting here to play the rest of the calendar tournaments unless she has 100% recovered already.

Currently all the big guys dropping out from the olympic games this will make djokovices job for the golden slam a lot easier. I think no one can stop him at this point currently
From what i understand Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic did not make their decision about participating in the Olympics and Roger Federer is not in the best form and more over he is having injury concerns  and this might be the last chance before retirement to win another gold and Nadal and Thiem made their decision along with several other well know players

When other players are withdrawing Naomi Osaka is willing to miss the Wimbledon and plans on focusing on the Olympic games and she is a medal prospect.

Nadal just said on his twitter that he wont be playing on wimbledon and in the olympic games!

This is what he said:

Hi all, I have decided not to participate at this year’s Championships at Wimbledon and the Olympic Games in Tokyo. It’s never an easy decision to take but after listening to my body and discuss it with my team I understand that it is the right decision

Yeah, I also read that article, Nadal's main reason is that he wanted to stay in the tennis tournament that's why he is going to skip both Wimbledon and Olympics.

Zverev was upset by Struff in 3 sets, so another big name is gone. Hard to bet in this tournament, LOL, I'm pretty sure that my parlay will be destroyed.

I just read the news here
It is quite unfortunate, especially his absence at Olympics, but it is understandable because the clay season is quite draining and emotional, especially the defeat in the RG semifinals really unexpected for him, hope he will play in US Open this year.

Also some surprising news that I didn't really saw coming. Especially for the Olympic games in Tokyo as this would be probably be his last participation to the games.

Between Berrettini and his third semifinal on the grass in the Atp circuit there's another British player, the English Daniel Evans, number 25 in the ranking. 24 hours ago, in the round of 16, the Italian player won in two sets against another favourite of the Queen's audience, Andy Murray. The Scot's not even the distant relative of the fantastic player of a few years ago, capable of triumphing twice at Wimbledon and once at the Us Open. The physical problems and the long periods of forced stop this time seem to have left their mark: Berrettini's victory was never in doubt since the first games.
I think he could make against Evans too, today.

Berrettini also managed to win in 2 sets against Evans.

In the women's competition, we haven't had a tennis player for a long time who would dominate like Serena did a few years ago.
Osaka came closest to Serena but she is obviously not yet psychologically at the required level and for this reason she withdrew from the GS competition in Paris.
If she overcomes these problems, she will be the new Serena, the new great champion.

Yes,,, Osaka is the closes to Serena and the same type of physicality (even with her size you think she is a bit weak but she has a power in her arms like Serena).

Like you said she is just having to adjust psychology and this happens with all young players. I really want her to become a great:)

It is sort of expected from first grass tournament that we will see some strange results. Problem is I can't get my surprises right. I thought Murray would fare much better against Berettini so I lost that one.

Made some money on Cilic, don't know how but he started playing a bit better and is now on a 7 wins grass streak.

Too bad that Federer lost, in Roland Garros he seemd to be in a pretty good form, but this doesn't give confidence for Wimbledon...
Surprising loss of Zverev also, the bookies will be happy  Grin.
Roger Federer lost his recent Halle open and i did not place a bet because i was not confident with his fitness and like i expected his fitness is an issue and age might be catching up with him but the loss of Alexander Zverev was a shock because i placed a parlay bet and included him and that is the only loss i had in my bet to make a couple of grand if he won and unfortunately that loss messed me up Undecided.
I also predicted that Zverev will win in 2 sets, so obviously it was a shock to me as I have place my bet on him. Didn't do parlays though, I thought that Zverev is enough good win for my bet.

Rublev vs Kohlschreiber now, Kohlschreiber to win at least one set. So let's see how it goes.
