Unfortunately, Medvedev was able to overcome our favourite Zverev, although it was a come from behind victory as Zverev took the first set. But Medvedev claw back in the match, 5-7 6-4 6-1.

Zverev becomes inconsistent, specially in the last set as he was broken several times and offer no resistance. Good pressure from Medvedev as obviously, Zverev can't match it. And now they heading to to season-ending ATP Tour Finals at the O2 Arena in London in about a week.

Yeah I really thought that Zverev would of won the match after winning the first set but as we have seen Medvedev has been in good form recently which did worry me a little but still thought Zverev was the better player out of the two. Its been and up and down year with a lot of the players, I don't think there has been one dominate player because its been a mix of winners this year which was good to see on the Men's side for a change. Lets now see who wins the ATP tour finals in London.

As I have said it will be an interesting match, and yes it did, but wasn't able to go on our favour.

Surprised by Medvedev's resiliency and mental toughness to come back, and not just come back but to finish it strong and Zverev has nothing to answer. So we lost our bet, but anyways, move forward to London now. Another good tournament to end this pandemic tennis 2020.

yeah, Zverev beat him, it was not expected, but it is not that much of a surprise, since Zverev had good shows against Nadal, and this surface suits him better than Nadal
this strange season is nearing to the end, and next one could prove that some of younger players could play bigger roles, we will see where this will go, or trio fantastico will have another season for themselves

I thought that Nadal can reach the finals, but probably he will lost it as well, regardless. Big win by Zverev, he has been playing great and yes, I do agree that this surface is not Nadal's strong suit.

Yeah, @2.5 will be good 1.79 odds, but money line is fine too, Medvedev 1.83 and Zverev 1.95 to win. Zverev leads the H2H, so it will be an interesting match.

Yep, too bad that Nadal is out, but it's a good thing in the long run as we need more players not in the top 3 to win this kind of small tournaments as well to give them a boost. Perhaps Nadal is really tired, but we have to give it to Zverev, Nadal try to adjust to his serve that's why he was able to make the score closer.

But there's no denying Zverev this time, the odds for Zverev and Medvev are very close, good luck to those who are going to bet in this finals.

Well at the start of this tournament I said that I thought Zverev had a good chance at winning it as he has been in good form this year and I think he would want to finish the year winning the last big tournament. Medvedev has come good at the right time so it will be a great final to watch, I going for Zverev because I think he deserves to win a big tournament this year with the form he has been in and to make up for his US Open loss.

Yep Nadal out. I don't watch Masters much but for players that are sometimes slow to get into it, the format with 2 winning sets is a challenge, compared to the 3 winning sets of grand slams. It's also much more difficult to get a total upset because of fatigue or something like that.

@Kemarit I too was expecting this to be a competitive match, however it turned out to be a one sided match as Medvedev completely dominated this match. Furthermore had Schwartzman won this match, then he would have easily sealed his spot at the Nitto ATP Finals, but even after losing this match he was able to seal his spot because Pablo Carreno Busta lost to Nadal in yesterday’s game.

The Medvedev vs Schwartzman match was not even close, 6-3, 6-1 win for Medvedev. I thought that Schwartzman will make it a three setter tie break match, he was clearly overwhelmed by Medvedev's specially the first serve.

Wawrinka surprises Rublev in 3 sets, just another match that could have cost me some BTC, LOL.

Zverev though was almost upset by Mannarino, but survived the scare and win the 3rd set, 6-4, but the first two, they had to settle it thru tie-breaks.

Yeah the Medvedev vs Schwartzman will be a good match to watch and I'm thinking that Schwartzman could pull an upset.

Nadal will be the man to beat, but Schwartzman could come close. He won his first match very easy with 2x 6-1.

With his win, Nadal became the 4th man in history to win 1000 ATP matches, another milestone for him!

I must say I sort of forgot about this thread after RG finished. I am always watching tennis and looking for value bets. Paris masters is the last masters in the year and it always has some funky results. Just checked who has won it in last couple of years and you will find much bigger variety then usual. It is also played on very fast surface so breaks are not to easy to come by. All that perfectly plays into my favorite tennis market, betting on handicaps against favorite.

My number one pick for today is Humbert to win against Cilic. Cilic has been terrible this season and even though he showed something here in Paris I don't trust him to win against good opponent.
D. Fokina +4.5 He is showing big progress on this surface and I belive he can cover this handi easy
Giron +5.5 Giron is also playing good tennis on fast surface this season and I see this match finishing 7:6 6:4 for Raonic so this handi should be quite secure
~~Thompson +6.5~~ Nadal did not look so good in his first match so this should pass, but I never like betting against Nadal, he is animal and will never let you have free game. While I was writing this I decided to skip this one Grin
