Next is Zverev vs Schwartzman and Djokovic vs Medvedev in their own group.
Should be free money to bet on Zverev today. I am taking handicap and 2:0 for him. A bit concerned about how he looked against Medvedev. Both were terrible in that match but I expect much better performance from Zverev today.

I will probably also play something like Medvedev to take at least a set against Djoko. He managed to do so last couple of times they played.

Currently watching the Stefanos Tsitsipas v Andrey Rublev match which is also going down to the wire. I really hope that Tsitsipas can get the win and not let us down once again after dominating the first set winning 6-1.

Wire to wire finish mate, Tsitsipas finally made it and beat Rublev in the final set thru tie breaker.

And yes, what a match between Nadal and Thiem, wasn't able to watch the match, Thiem really playing good at this tournament, and most probably will go to the finals vs Djokovic. What do you guys think? Unless he is upset by Rublev next match, but statistically if it's a two way tie in their group, he will still be good to the finals as he beat Nadal and Tsitsipas.

Next is Zverev vs Schwartzman and Djokovic vs Medvedev in their own group.

What a match between Nadal and Thiem. Watched this one from the first point until the very last point. Had some other stuff to do but I simply couldn't make myself leave the TV. This was by far the best match I watched this year, both guys played great and there was a plethora of great ground shots and passing shots ans some impresive net play. If you find some sort of recap watch it, you will not regret it.

In the end Thiem managed to get it in straight sets trough tie breaks. Brought me a nice boost for my bank as well Smiley

good bet, and great match, will be interesting to see how Djokovic will end up with these two in semi-final, and probably final

I really like Federer. It has made the sport very big and very famous. You now see more and more that the youth is on the rise. In the past, the differences in strength were much greater with Sampras and Agassi at the helm.

what a shit-post man

I also think so, very good match between this two players. Each set go into the Tiebreak 😱. would have been very interesting if there had been a third set, very few mistakes by both but a great match for the audience before the Tv.

Definitely, a good sign for things to come to Nadal, it was a good win against, I would say a very tough opponent in Rublev and this surface suits Rublev more than Nadal. But it was a total domination from Rafa.

As far as Tsitsipas, didn't bet on him, yes he is so inconsistent that it's better to see his form first before putting some stakes. But those who lost can still bounce back and make the competition close, so it's not over for the losers in their first match.

Well you and I are fans of Tsitsipas and we can see the potential he has as a player but as we have said many times on here, he is to inconsistent which is why I haven't been betting on him much this year. Lets see how he goes in his next match against Rublev. At least Tsitsipas played a good match against Thiem and pushed him to three sets.

Good win for Nadal, I hope that tennis better didn't pass on that good odds on him.

Rublev though is a bit sloppy, his forehand is very poor and Nadal took advantage of it. That's why in the entire match Nadal was not threaten and was not in any trouble going on a comfortable win against Andrei.

@Juggy777 - yes Nadal has poor record here, but it seems that he is improving specially his serve. He has recovered from the injury, so it's a positive start for him.

Sorry for those who bet on Tsitsipas or at least a fan of him as he losses to Dominic Thiem in 3 sets. It was a good match actually, Thiem taking the first and them Tsitsipas coming back in the second to make it 1-1. But then again, we have seen him very inconsistent and that what cause him to lose the match in the 3rd set. Nadal as usual, was dominant against a game Rublev, 6-3, 6-4.

@Jating - good call on Nadal, that is a good ML odds indeed.

For those wondering what will be the odds for Nadal:

@1.65, this is still very attractive to bet for Nadal here.

@Jating those are decent odds considering Nadal’s vast experience, but it’s also pertinent to note that he has a poor record when it comes to ATP Finals. Also he’s acknowledged this fact and has promised to work harder to win this tournament, as it’s moving from London to Italy next year hence I’m feeling tempted to wager a small amount on him.

For those wondering what will be the odds for Nadal:

@1.65, this is still very attractive to bet for Nadal here. As for Thiem vs Tsitsipas, it's a bit tricky, Tsitsipas is inconsistent, but he beat Thiem here last year so obviously he is the defending champ and this could boost his confidence. And if he wants to become a back to back champion then this is first step.

So this is how the ATP finals are setup:

Group Tokyo 1970

Novak Djokovic
Daniil Medvedev
Alexander Zverev
Diego Schwartzman

Group London 2020

Rafael Nadal
Dominic Thiem
Stefanos Tsitsipas
Andrey Rublev

So November 15:

Thiem vs S. Tsitsipas
Nadal vs Rublev

November 16:

Djokovic vs Schwartzman
Medvedev vs Zverev

It's gonna be fun and exciting at the same time to put a bet in this tournament. And we will be treated with high level tennis.

And thanks to Zverev for reaching the finals here,  Smiley

Medvedev is also playing great and as I check the odds, he is the favorite but not that much though as Zverev is playing elite tennis as well. This will be interesting to watch, I'll probably go in with my man right now Zverev.
I am also on Zverev today. He has done much better in previous encounters (5-1) and that one match he lost was at the time Medvedev was playing best tennis of his career.  I remember the match well since I had a lot of money riding on Medvedev at that time Smiley

Zverev is also 12-0 in indoors matches this season and that gives me enough confidence to bet on him today. If I was setting the odds Zverev would be around 1.65 and this @2.05 odds I managed to find on him are great value.

Placed a small bet on Zverev to win @1.93 (mainly because he beat Nadal) and because he has a good track record indoor this season as you mentioned. Also placed a bet on over 2.5 sets @2.23 as I still expect a close match.

Unfortunately, Medvedev was able to overcome our favourite Zverev, although it was a come from behind victory as Zverev took the first set. But Medvedev claw back in the match, 5-7 6-4 6-1.

Zverev becomes inconsistent, specially in the last set as he was broken several times and offer no resistance. Good pressure from Medvedev as obviously, Zverev can't match it. And now they heading to to season-ending ATP Tour Finals at the O2 Arena in London in about a week.

Yeah I really thought that Zverev would of won the match after winning the first set but as we have seen Medvedev has been in good form recently which did worry me a little but still thought Zverev was the better player out of the two. Its been and up and down year with a lot of the players, I don't think there has been one dominate player because its been a mix of winners this year which was good to see on the Men's side for a change. Lets now see who wins the ATP tour finals in London.

I guess the lockdown brings the best and worst for tennis players as well, that's why many are very inconsistent and we witnessed some upsets and new names winning tournaments. Worst time for Zverev to be inconsistent though as it is the biggest stage for him. He won the first set and then melt under the Medvedev pressure.

But it good that he reaches the finals here, now we go to London, continue to stake as to who is going to win the last tournament. It's the best of the best, so there could be a lot of very highly contested match.

I agree that this lock down has not helped players at all as they need to adjust to it and for some it can be hard to do so and stay focused at the same time. The Nitto ATP finals draw has been set and now we just wait for it to start in a week from now.

As I have said it will be an interesting match, and yes it did, but wasn't able to go on our favour.

Surprised by Medvedev's resiliency and mental toughness to come back, and not just come back but to finish it strong and Zverev has nothing to answer. So we lost our bet, but anyways, move forward to London now. Another good tournament to end this pandemic tennis 2020.
