So far a lot of the top seeds in the Men's draw are doing well, I was happy to see Alex de Minaur win in straight sets as I am a big fan of his. Stefanos Tsitsipas is coming up soon, I'll be watching him closely as I did bet on him to win the US Open @10 odds as Djokovic was too short for my liking even though he will be tough to beat.
Good bet mate, it was a good match in the first set, and I thought that we will lose the first set, but unfortunately, he won the tie break and then broke him down in the next two sets.
Thiem and Djokovic will be up tomorrow against Nagal and Struff. I think Djokovic will have a tougher opponent here in Struff.
it is a good bet, but will not gone through, Djokovic will win this one with ease, i really cannot see anyone from these players beating him this season
maybe Covid could eliminate him, there is a question regarding immunity after having infection, but players cannot, IMHO, he will won this tournament
@casperBGD I’ll second that as Djokovic is in fine form, hence he should easily win this fixture and proceed ahead to the next round. Furthermore Djokovic has rented a house too for this tournament, and this is another reason why I feel that he’ll be more focused on winning the tournament, because now he’ll no longer be stressed about living in a small room given by the tournament authorities. Also what do you’ll think will living in small rooms effect player’s performance in this tournament, or will they be able to perform like they usually do?.
The cost? $40,000. The convenience? Priceless.
“As soon as there was a chance for us to choose to be in a house, we took it right away -- without thinking. I’m glad we did,” the top-ranked Djokovic said after improving to 25-0 this season and reaching the U.S. Open’s third round with a 6-7 (5), 6-3, 6-4, 6-2 victory over Kyle Edmund on Wednesday.
Most players competing at Flushing Meadows amid the coronavirus pandemic this year opted for the official tournament hotel options. The U.S. Tennis Association paid for one room for each player, who then would need to pony up if they wanted a second for members of their entourage.
