Ashleigh Barty played an awesome match. It is a big comeback to her, the match went so close as Karolina Pliskova gave up finally. The first set is the deciding factor of the match, and the direct second set was taken without much effort by Ashleigh Barty. Compared to the women's match I find men's match less interesting as from the beginning it looked like an one sided game.

The Men's final at the Miami Open was an easy win for Federer as he won his 101st career title. Federer is 18-2 this year and is looking good for the upcoming Grand Slam tournaments. The question is will he play at the French Open? with the form he is in I think we could see him play and like I said if this is his last year then he would want to thank the French people by playing there for the last time. This was Federer's 4th Miami Open title which is amazing considering he is now 37 years old and still winning tournaments.
Good for anyone who picked FedEx on a futures ever since his win against b. robert augt because after that win he basically had a cakewalk the rest of the way. Because Isner has a good serve and usually ends up with 15+ aces in his matches but doesnt have a good net game and is where roger excels in his matches.

Federer was just too good Shapovalov on the day but we can see that there is a lot of upside for him to become a great player in the near future. So it will now be Isner v Federer in the final which should be a great match to watch. On the Women's side Barty was able to beat the 5th seed Pliskova in straight sets after a hard fought first set. I think Barty has a big chance to at least reach the quarter finals at the French Open with the form she has been in this year and may even challenge for the title, time will tell.
These days I am too busy with cricket and betting in IPL LOL

I lost track from the ATP Miami and just checked and seeing Isner vs Federer is good. I hope it will be an entertaining final. I will wish for Federer to win. He is better in every aspect then Isner.

In women side seem like Barty had a good journey. :-)

I didn't get to see the match between Isner and Felix Auger Aliassime but it looks like this young kid really pushed Isner but just wasn't strong enough to get over the line. It is looking like it could be a Isner/Federer final with the form Federer is in right now however Shapovalov has also been in good form recently so I'm expecting it to be a good match to watch.

What a match between Isner and Aliassime. That 18 year old kid is really something to watch in the future. Isner though proved very tough and he struggles against the big serve of Isner. But nothing to be ashamed of, he has a break out year, reaching Rio Open final and losing to Laslo Dere and then reaching semis in Miami, the score is 7-6,7-6.

And the results are in.

Halep vs Pliskova  - Pliskova  demolished Halep 7-5, 6-1
Barty vs Kontaveit - Barty won, 6-3, 6-3.

Pliskova vs Barty for the finals. I see Pliskova taking this one. She's playing great specially she is riding from the momentum win against Halep.

Federer vs Anderson. Federer win's easy. I thought Anderson will gave him some challenges, But Roger is on the tee right now, 6-0, 6-4.

Tiafoe vs Shapovalov. Shapovalov needed 3 sets 7-6, 4-6, 3-6 to win.

So it will be Federer vs Shapovalov on the semis together with Isner vs Felix Auger Aliassime on the other draw.

What’s the next Grand Slam? Federer is in great form, he just never gets old. I might bet on him to win at Wimbledon this year, he’s an amazing sportsman.
French open hehe. I don't think he will play that though and I think it's better if he doesnt play it so that he just concentrates on Wimbledon.
French open is Nadals btw .

Now this all depends on whether its Federer's last year playing tennis, if he has decided to give it away at the end of the year then I think we'll see him play at this years French Open as a farewell. He has bypassed the French Open for a number of years now so that he can be ready for Wimbledon so lets see what he decides to do as he is in very good form right now, actually out of the top players he is in the best form.

It's already semis in the women's side.

Halep vs Pliskova - (Perhaps the winner will most likely take the trophy this year)
Barty vs Kontaveit - (Not familiar with those names though)

For men's QF.
Federer vs Anderson
Tiafoe vs Shapovalov

Winner of eah match will face each other for the SF. Isner vs Auger Aliassime (we should watch this kid and see if he has the potential in the next 2-5 years) has booked there own semis already.

I think Nadal is still injured that's why he didn't play in this tournament (correct me if I'm wrong).

Probably he is resting for the French Open but who don't know if he has enough time to heal that injury and be 100%. So it's better if Federer will try his luck on French Open, the last time he won this tournament is like 10 years ago.

Hey Federer is in great form there’s no doubt about it, but it’s been ages since he won the French open as Nadal has made it a habit to win it. I’ll agree with you Federer should skip the French open, and keep himself fit for Wimbledon. Also I feel this year Nadal won’t win it easily due to the injuries he’s had, and then there’s Djokovic and other youngsters who now offer stiff challenges for the cup.

LOL. You are not the only one who losses on that Djokovic match. I put a big bet on him, seeing him win the first set easy. However the rain did some damage, it broke his momentum and Agut caught fire and this is the second time he dealt Djokovic an early exit. Anyways, just part of the game, we win some and we lose some. Agut will be facing Isner, so I don't know if I'm going to bet against him.  Grin
I will not bet in that match.

Isner is doing well and Agut's confidence is on the top. So, it will be hard to take a side.

Sorry to hear your lose bud. Yh we win some and lose some. It's the entertainment that matters.

Cheers :-)

And just like that, Isner took the long route but beat Agut on his own game. 7-6,7-6 and ended Agut's run. Federer also advances with a win against Medvedev.  Coric though fell against Auger Aliassime, another young prospect at 18 years of age. QF match to watch: Federer vs Anderson, but I think Federer can win this one easy.

No problem with that lost bud,  Grin, yeah at least we have some fun watching the games.

I said it before and I'll say it again, its very risky betting on the top players in these smaller tournaments as I truly believe that they don't have the same mindset to winning as they do a Grand Slam. I see many people get burned by these smaller tournaments all the time but I guess its each individuals decision to bet or not. I'm waiting on the French Open to place some bets and I am looking to place some bets on the winner early to gain the higher odds.

Roger does what roger does and beats his opponent in straight sets. So it looks like he is the one who is top form out of all the other top seeds who made it through to the quarter finals.
Maybe best to put him down to take the whole tournament in a futures bet if youve been suffering through these matches which the favorites havent been going through to the semis.

Isner didn't look very good in his last matches and he gave up a few break points but I think he will start this match with a different attitude and play at his best. There is no question about Agut's confidence since he beat the best player in the world so I see this a typical match with at least 2 tiebreaks. Now it remains to see if Isner can hold his serve for the entire of the match otherwise he will have big problems.
