It was a great match because at a point in the match in the third set i thought Holger Rune would win the match and the odds changed drastically to even 2.7 for a Jannik Sinner win and just then i saw some huge bets coming in his way in some of the sites and he magically displayed his skill level and won the rest of the match easily .

Sinner is in the form of his life and a face off against Djokovic once again in the final would be epic.

And if we go back 2 years - Zverev was hot property, he was talked about being at
the very top. I think the injury has held him back.

Is it better to be performing inside the top 10 or to push harder, risk getting injured which
could mean a break from tour and then a long recovery....

Next up Sinner v Rune

Sinner is already through to the next stage so will he be playing at 100% or 80%?

I'm not betting on this because of that, sinner is still favourite at 1.40, Rune at 3.4??

He is playing hot and cold ,sometimes he plays insanely good like against Alcaraz then losses easily and he needs to be more consistent. If he wants to be in the very top. Still a solid season for him he finished in top 8 but i think he could have done a lot more this year .

Frankly, Zverev is leaving an impression of a person who is not willing to win. Something is missing, he is not hungry anymore. Was it money that changed him? Or the injury? Or new girlfriend? Who knows, but he has to find a way out of this in order to shine in 2024.

It is probably also a psychological thing when he says that. By making this statement, he is putting the current number 1 Djokovic under pressure. So it would also be an advantage for Alcaraz when he praises Sinner.


Once again Zverev showed a different performances. He was often unfocussed in this match and gave Medvedev too many gifts. But that also happened sometimes at Medvedevs side. But Medvedev deserved to win the match. I seems he is the opponent of fear for Zverev. 6 matches this year, lost 5 times.

I believe Alcaraz said today that Sinner could be #1 in 2024, thats a big statement.

Alcaraz had a good win today but Rublev was hurting after the loss, Rublev has admitted
himself that he has suffered with mental illness, he couldnt handle his loss today.

Medvedev is currently playing Zverev, I cannot see him losing this TBH. Odds on Zverev
win are currently 5.2, anyone going to take the risk?

None of these players will compromised their positions but they will only succumb when they're unable to beat their opponents who is also fierce in action. I was surprised to watch Jannik Sinner absorbing the tense pressure actions hitting from Djokovic and reciprocated with the balance momentum needed to produce results and scoring good points. I've observed something vital about these players, they don't give up so easily, everyone one of them have dull hope of reaching the final and recording remarkable results in their performance.

Sinner was on a really big level and probobly the best play and match of his career. Still Djokovic had his chances in the end to win the match. Sinner will do really big things in 2024 if he can play close to this level. Alcaraz beated Rublev but still hasnt passed the group.

A great match. Not only on a playful level, but above all more on a psychological level. As you have e already mentioned, Djokovic tried a lot of things. But Sinner stayed calm and continued to believe in himself. I am looking forward to next year with Sinner.
This tournament has shown us a few surprises so far. Today is the match between Alcaraz and Rublev who both lost their first match.

That is a MASSIVE win by Jannik, it was a tough 3 setter and 2 tie breaks and by
a lot of accounts it was a "classic". Very well done to one of my favourite players,
did anyone back him @2.30?

Djokovic tried everything, long toilet break, arguing with the umpire, giving out to
the Italian crowd but it didnt work!

a "handover" well it has certainly started, Novak now has another player who can
beat him, the list is getting bigger.

What I love about Sinner is that he is building slowly, he seems to be developing
at a steady pace and is very patient, himself and his team obviously have a very
strong definite roadmap and they seem to be travelling it well.

You should not call the loss from Alcaraz was a surprise, he is not playing the best tennis for a while. He played some great games but check out his performance in the past two months and you will understand why it is not an upset, on the other hand the loss encountered by Novak Djokovic yesterday against Sinner was an upset because Djokovic was unbeaten for 19 consecutive matches.

It's great to see Sinner improving - I always felt he's the most promising from the new batch of players (if we exclude Alcaraz of course).
I feel he can win it on home turf - but if I'm looking at it correctly even with 2 wins he's not yet in the semifinals. Tsitsipas' withdrawal means a 2-0 win for Rune, and he's playing against Sinner next.

Rune looked good against Đoković as well - so this looks like a great match in the making.

Didn't expect that Alcaraz would loose, but as you say, it is not the end of the world. Even the greatest of all time do loose some matches so nothing unusual that Alcaraz looses a match here. In every sport upsets happen and sometimes you can make some good money out of it also

At the moment I write, Novak Djokovic's game against Jannik Sinner is taking place. well, Novak Djokovic is the current number 1 in the world, he is 36 years old and on the other side we have Jannik Sinner who currently occupies the number 4 position. this will be an interesting game, novak has already beaten sinner 3 times , but I see that in this game Sinner will be victorious, even before this game started I looked at Sinner as the favorite and this is being confirmed now that they are playing, Sinner is doing much better than Novak and at this rate I believe that Novak sinner had emerged victorious. before the game started the odds for if the sinner came out with victory was @ 2.50, whoever bet on the sinner before the game started, will make a good profit if the sinner comes out of this game with victory

Regarding the remaining two games, I see Carlos Alcaraz's game against Andrey Rublev as a game in which Alcaraz will come out victorious, he is being seen as a favorite by the bookmakers and in my opinion he will come out victorious. In another game between Daniil Medvedev and Alexander Zverev, I see Medvedev coming out victorious, he is being seen as a favorite by the bookmakers and in my opinion he will win this game. Of the 17 games these two tennis players played against each other, Medvedev won 10 games while Zverev won 7. I see that with another defeat in the next game, there would be 11 victories for Medvedev

...and I may be wrong but was that the year Sinner was called in as substitute? Ah its a pity for hi really,
it kind of puts a dampener on an average year for him.

Djokovic v Sinner tonight, can this be the match which Jannik can beat Novak? odds are close enough,
1.62 v 2.30. I'm guessing it will be a 3 setter anyway.

Breaking: Tsitsipas withdraws from his match against Rune after just 3 (!) games. According to sources he incurred some sort of a leg injury. Details are most likely to follow. This is not the first time the Greek player has to withdraw from the ATP finals due to injury. Back in 2021 he had to call it quits due to elbow injury.

Surprising for sure, Zverev hasnt had a fantastically great season this year and then
to beat Alcaraz over 3 sets with the second 2 sets in a comfortable way was impressive.


I suppose we do have to cut Alcaraz a bit of slack, he is still young, is #2 on the
ATP rankings and he has a long hard season with 6 tournament wins, probably
the same in quarter and semi final appearances.

there's always a lot of pressure when you have to prove you're number one.
I personally thought that he would have lost like a final this year against Rune, but he was able to bring the result, meanwhile Alcaraz probably "pays for this pressure", perhaps even a minimum of "inexperience" after a season at the highest level.

Surprising win for Zverev against Alcaraz at the tournament in Turin. The door opener for Zverev was his strong first serve. For coming into this tournament as an outsider, he has regained respect with this performance. But against Medvedev and Rublev he will have to play with the same concentration.
