I think that Nadal and Djokovic at this point of their career could focus also in other competitions since they have no more the same chances in atp500 or slams.
Its not wrong at all. They choose were to invest their energy no One should be force to play Olympics.
Actualy there is no match between the two players, since there is a sound 6-0 for Djokovic.
Well, a massive defeat like this sounds really crazy since both are true legend of this sport. For sure this is not Nadal the we have seen in the past years...
By the way funny tournament this year, in the previous edition of Olympics it wasn't with so many famous players on headlines.
I was expecting a much closer contest. Nadal said in his interview afterwards
that Novak was just better and he didnt have the answers on the day.

Look at Nadal and Djokovic who are almost the same age and their performance level is decreasing because both of them have gone through all the successful times in their careers so far, now they can only go with the flow by remaining in several competitions in the future until they actually decide to retire.
Moreover, almost every competition is always dominated by great tennis players who are much younger, they have enormous potential and from this it can be concluded that in the future we will see new era filled with young tennis players.
Today they played in the 2024 Olympics for men singles in the second round, while in this match Djokovic is still ahead.
I think the victory will belong to Djokovic and he is one of the favorites in the Olympics although it is not guaranteed that he can easily win the championship.
Nadal has already said he is retiring after this season, maybe Djokovic will announce
something next year. I would expect Novak to call it a day if he cannot at least win tournaments.
Alexander Zverev vs Tomas Machac
Reigning Olympic champion Alexander Zverev came to the Paris 2024 Olympics to defend his title and scored a comfortable victory over Jaume Munar. Tomas Machac defeated a talented opponent in Zhang Zhizhen in three sets. Machac is a good clay court player and is in form for 2024, but given Zverev's playing strength at Roland Garros, it will be very difficult for Machac to go up against Zverev. The advantage in this match is, of course, the German tennis player Zverev.
Zverev through comfortably.
Just watching Schmiedlova v Paolini ATM, final set, the heat is cripling and I really
hope Oaolini comes through for my bet. -not looking good though-
