Dimitrov hasnt been able to progress at the Paris Masters, beaten this evening by
Khachanov who has had a late flourish to his season! Dimitrov had a tough few matches
at Paris, I think all his matches were 3 setters. Its a pity he is out, he actually had a great season.

Here is the list for the last 4 places in qualifying for rhe ATP finals. I think as it stands
now is who will be qualifying, Fritz, Ruud, Djokovic and Rublev.

Grigor Dimitrov is one of the guys who still has a chance to qualify for the ATP Finals and with that motivation he is playing good tennis at the Paris Masters. Dimitrov won both his matches in three sets and came out of very tough matches. Former champion Karen Khachanov, on the other hand, has overcome two solid opponents in Giovanni Mpetschi Perricard and Alexei Popyrin to reach the quarterfinals and looked tremendous, especially on serve. But in their past matches, Dimitrov has a 5-0 advantage and he won here in 2021. He will be one step ahead here as well.

Two 500 series finals happening today with unlikely finalists which is a interesting,
refreshing and difficult to call in terms of winners.

Basel - Switzerland

Shelton (6th seed) v Mpetshi Perricard - Top seeds Rublev, Ruud and Rune have all
been swept aside for these two guys to have a chance at the title. Shelton
being seeded has the clear advantage in terms of odds @ 1.42 v 2.92 for the
French man.

Other odds are not very appetising, Over 25.5 @ 1.66, Under 25.5 @ 2.10 - Its difficult
to figure how this will go.

Vienna - Austria

Draper [7th seed) v Khachanov - as with Basel the top seeds have been beaten, Zverev,
de Minaur and Dimitrov.

Really hard to call this one too. Seeded player 1.63 v 2.30. Khachanov is a
dangerous player in his own right it must be said.

I think in these cases because its hard to figure I'll do two small bets on the underdogs.

The controversial "Six Kings Slam" has been playing out over the last week and surprise
surprise its Sinner v Alcaraz to fight it out in the final for the 6.5 million champions prize.
Djokovic v Nadal in a match for 3rd place?

I would say the Djokovic v Nadal match will be more popular than the final based
on the reception the two legends got so far compared to the new guys. It seems
to me that this was aimed at bringing the top players to SA in order for the wealthy
to see them playing live.
I agreed with your opinion about this, but organizers are having right to do anything as they are the main culprit in this event.

Saudi Arab is now have good changes as they are investing huge amounts in sports and culture events for their new face to world soon we will have more changes as well.

There  is no doubt that Saudi Arabia will continue to host high end sports events
and attract top athletes by putting up hugh amounts of prize money.

meanwhile Alcaraz has just won the first set (7-6) against Sinner right now. Both players are clearly nervous due the high prize... in many situations they showed such reaction.
Fpr sure this is a great show, even this type of pitch allow fast gaming. I would not surprise too much if another edition would be done next year also with an higher prize Roll Eyes

That was a great 3 set battle with Sinner coming out on top 6-3. He takes home
the big $6.5 million prize money. He might need that if he gets a ban for what
happened earlier in the year with the banned substance his physio used by mistake.

In the 3rd place playoff Djokovic beat Nadal in 2 sets, that was on the cards anyway.

Yea, up until a few months ago this thread was very active, its only me rattling around in
here regularly ATM.

Shanghai Masters final in less than 30 minutes starting!

Sinner v Djokovic - has the makings of a great final but Djokovic was complaining
of an injury in his match against Fritz yesterday but he still won that.

The odds obviously favor Sinner today @ 1.41.

So what interesting when bet in tennis is the odds is not reflected yet on reality. you don't have to hesitate to bet weak player with best odds because usually a weak player will make you surprise on the field. It's happened many time to me, this also makes me addicted to bookmark all tennis matches on my sport bet from today  Grin

That is the case sometimes on the WTA tour, there are way nore surprises
and upsets.

Seem like this thread didn't have enthusiasm yet with members who love sports betting here. Actually, I don't really like watching tennis matches, but because the football league taking a break for qualification world cup final 2024, so I have to forced it to watch tennis while off course I bet a few money for much fun to watch my subscription tv.

So far, I just won zverev (versus Griekspoor) on ATP Tour Rolex shanghai, and Putintseva (versus Vekic) on WTA Tour Wuhan, and won Xiaodi when meet Starodubtseva on Qualification WTA tour Ningbo, China.

Shanghai Masters

Bit of an upset today - Alcaraz was beaten in two sets by Machac! He has been
playing quite well but Machac has a bit of a name for slaying giants! He plays
Sinner next in the semi final.

Sinner beat Medvedev again today in 2 easy sets, 6-1 and 6-4 although I think
Medvedev was injured?.

So the final is looking like Sinner v Medvedev!

Flavio Cobolli, who has risen to world number 30 and has been making a name for himself lately, will face one of the toughest tests in tennis against Novak Djokovic. Djokovic, who beat Alex Michelsen in two tie breaks in his first match, looked a bit tired in that match but still managed to win. Cobolli is a different player, but in the current conditions, he might give his legendary opponent some trouble.

Ah I missed that match between Djokovic and Cobolli, I saw Djokovic warming up
with a knee brace which looked like the Italian could have a chance but sadly the
2 set scoreline says it was all one way traffic 6-1 and 6-2. I think Cobolli is better
than that result and that playing his idol was a big factor in his performance.

Tallon Griekspoor, who gave Jordan Thompson no chance in the second round, will play former Shanghai Masters finalist Sascha Zverev. Sascha, who easily beat Mattia Belluci, is undoubtedly one of the title contenders here. Moreover, he will carry the confidence of having beaten Griekspoor twice this year. Griekspoor is a solid player but I think Sascha will be able to dominate him in every department.

Poor Tallon, he cant catch a break, he always ends up early in the draws with top
seeded opponents. Its on serve in the third set now.

Sinner vs Shelton coming soon. This is a match I am personally looking forward to because Shelton actually managed to defeat the World Number 1 in this tournament last year.

Sinner did defeat him several times after that, but Shelton shouldn't be underestimated. Let's see who ends up winning this time around.

I don't think that Cobolli could be really able to win against Djokovic. Of course, physical condition of Serbian players must be taken into account.
But ... even if the italian player is actually doing well, Djoko should be much stronger for him.
Funny fact: Cobolli has won the last match against Wrawinka due a mistake Roll Eyes by referee

Upset Alert over at the Shanghai Masters.
Sinner has lost his first set against Etcheverry in a tie break. The Argentine is playing
some great tennis to keep just slightly ahead of Sinner. The odds here ATM are
1.36 - 3.20. Sinner to win the second set 1.16. The odds for a straight win for the
world no.1 are very good!
Etcheverry surprised me in the first set though I never thought for a second that Sinner was going to lose despite his ongoing doping case. The dude is still number one for a reason and I feel like only Alcaraz stands in his way for the title.

Also, I am excited for Federer's visit towards the end of this tournament since we all know how popular he is in China.

Yea Etcheverry was quite good in the first set but as we have seen so many times
with the lesser ranked players, they find it difficult to maintain the momentum for
the following sets. Sinner won the second and third, 6-4 and 6-2. Just as I was
saying the odds on the number 1 were great for the win @ 1.36!

Alcaraz also won today in straight sets and it looks like they are on the same side
of the draw so they will meet before the final.

That was an epic final between Sinner and Alcaraz, It was always going to be close
and Sinner player better than I thought he would but Alcaraz took the title.

Its on to the Shanghai Masters now with the rounds of 128 playing out.
The only upset I can see is Cilic losing out to Casaux in 2 sets. He won the
Hangzhou Open a couple of weeks ago and since then he has not been
that great.

Sinner won his final here in Shanghai without too much difficulty.
Interesting match by the Chinese opponent BU.
It seems that he has been playing in the major ATP tournaments for practically only one year and has already achieved this result. Wow really not bad.
now final Sinner vs Alcaraz.
Some interesting data = last two matches have been won by the Spanish...

World number one and defending Beijing champion Jannik Sinner struggled in the first two rounds, but made it comfortably through the quarterfinals and semifinals to reach the final again. Finally, he beat young Bu Yunchaokete in two sets. Sinner, who has had a tough time off the court, will face the biggest rival of his generation in the cup match. Carlos Alcaraz, who reached this stage without losing a set, also showed his skills against Daniil Medvedev. Looking at the available images and arrival routes, Alcaraz seems to be one step ahead. 6-4 in all his matches, he also has a numerical advantage of 2-0 this season. However, Sinner loves this court and his 2024 record is at least as good as Alcaraz. The final set could decide the winner in this match.
