What the freaking heck. Unbelievable. Miss the legends like Billy Bowden. ICC needs to wake the heck up and do something about this since a storm is building and this could hit them at any point in the future if they don't do anything about it.

Bro, You broke the link (fixed it). some might think that i am spreading rumors lol.

IMO the main reason of umpiring standard going down is "Over dependency on technology" nowadays umpires are very careless, they don't pay much attention to details such as no balls. they know we already have rule of checking no-balls after every dismissal and if any chance LBW etc goes wrong then Both teams have DRS.

Ind vs Ban

Now 1 wicket down for India, Fellas anyone want to predict anything  Grin

The quality of umpiring has gone down with improvement in technology and that is what i see from these events, earlier in this test one of the Pakistan batsman was given out to a no ball and now twenty no balls being bowled and the on field umpire not even gave anyone of them shows the quality of umpring in the down slide.

I don't even see the need for Bumrah at this point since this trio is performing admirably and the current New Zealand squad is not exactly strong.
The Indian bowling department is the most potent in the world right now with spin and fast bowlers are performing well in Sub continent pitches and like everyone else i would like to see them test aboard and then we can see the quality of these match winner.

To face a team like Bangladesh, India should have picked a team without their main bowlers and with India combining their world class bowling attack is not a match to sides like these, consider Jasprit Bumrah is considered the best strike bowler in the world right now and India is lethal even without him, i have not seen India going with an all out pace attack and that would be a new experience and i expect that when they are playing in green wickets.

Shami hitting the batsmen and ishant, umesh showing no sign of mercy as well. 7th wicket down, all belongs to pacer and spinners are at sideline so far just enjoying the view.
Indian pace attack is not showing any mercy to Bangladesh and they lost the match within the first day and the match will long as long as India extend their declaration.

The Indian pacers are too much for the Bangladeshi batsman and the way in which the bowlers are delivering i would like to see them bowl in green wickets and they can pose a challenge to any team in the world, if this bowling unit along with Bumrah travel to New Zealand in their next tour then they can make history by winning the series as i am pretty sure they never won that in New Zealand.

May be the umpire felt like he wont be getting time to take a good look at the appeals if he takes a look at the no ball line because Naseem shah was bowling at good pace  Cheesy, twenty no balls and getting away with it is a record as i have not seen anything like this earlier and with all the technologies available for the umpires and still they miss these is ridiculous.

All tickets are sold already for first 4 days.

It’s hard to believe that Naseem got away with bowling 20 no balls, hopefully ICC will consider appointing better umpires for International Cricket matches. I’m not sure if the match will last for four days as Bangladesh are now struggling at 73 for 6, and it’s only a matter of time before team India bowls them all out. Once that happens then team India will bat for a day, and then on the third day they’ll pick all Bangladesh players wickets and win the match.

Aus 150/0
Australia is on a roll here. Warner just scored his 150 and is playing smartly dealing in boundaries only. This is why Pointing decided to stick with him people and this is why he is still a critical part of the test squad at present.

Warner was lucky today. he was around at 50ish when he got caught behind the wicket but ball was no ball, hard luck for debutant Nassem shah. Then at the end of the day ball kissed the wicket but bailed didn't got off from stumps.

Meanwhile Bangladesh is in mess again. 25/3

After 2 mins score is 26/4

Another example of shitty umpiring in Aus vs Pak, have a look.

Warner is all set to score a double century here and sadly Joe Burns missed his century by just 3 runs and it is a matter of how long they will be batting and by the way they are playing Smith does not get a chance to bat as Pakistan is struggling to pick wickets no able to put any pressure on the Aussie players, Smith will be praying for a chance to bat in this series by the way things are going  Cheesy.

Australia is batting really well and they might score over 240 runs even without loosing a wicket, hard time to be a Pakistani bowler with the way in which both the Australian openers are batting  Cheesy.
They lead by 65 runs right now. Pakistan are having serious problems right now since all the Australian batsmen are playing fabulously so far. At the rate at which this is going, I think Australia will win this one by an innings.

Pitch looking dead to me, no sign of reverse swing et all so far. all pakistani seamers struggling atm, their best bet is Oz batsmen make some mistakes othewise they are on mercy of batsmen.

Sourav Ganguly first gig turning out to be good for Test cricket so far, he left no stone unturned for this. Inviting Bangladesh's Hon. PM Sheikh Hasina along with first test team of Bangladesh. i really hope after this he will take care of spectators concerns regarding stadium facilities etc.
So BCCI is inaugurating the day night Test match with a bang and there is a reason for that, if the match could attract the audience interest which they are looking for and it will become a grand success in the grant scheme of things then we might see day night matches quite often and their main focal point will be TRP rating and stadium audience.

All tickets are sold already for first 4 days.

Imagine if this was in between Australia and India :-D

Too bad it isnt. anyway i am expecting both teams to play a D/N test against each others soon.

~snip~
It's Eden Garden; oldest stadium in India. Let me bring some test history for team India on the board.

~Edite out~

These are some good stats for the upcoming match. Moreover, it's the broken Bangladesh.
Kolkatta has a 100 year old history in sports after all, be it cricket or football. Bangladesh is broken team atm but i am not sure if we are heading towards another one sided game or not.

New Zealand lost their second wicket as Leach threw his wicket away by going for a shot in the air which was unwarranted as England planned as they packed the leg side field and Pope took a good catch and now two of their most experienced batsman are at the crease and Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor are their main stay and if the England pacer bowlers could create problems often and have the patience they can put pressure on the batsman.

Still the chances are that England will be able to win this match, as they have good bowlers such as Jofra Archer, Stuart Broad and Sam Curran. The pitch at Mount Maunganui looks very supportive towards fast bowlers and especially Archer is going to be happy. It won't be easy for New Zealand to score in excess of 353 against such a strong bowling attack.
It all depends upon how the New Zealand batsman could build partnership and i think they will take a lead in the first innings and it looks like Williamson is in top form as he comfortable playing the ball and unless he plays some reckless shot and gets out i am expecting a century from him.

BTW, Australia is off to a very strong start against Pakistan. They are 78/0 after 17 overs, and the Pakistani bowlers (including the debutante Naseem Shah) looked unimpressive so far. Warner is batting on 43, and he seems to be back on form (at least in the test format). To put it frankly, quite a bit disappointed with the Pak bowling attack. They performed really well during the warm-up match, but don't know what happened to these same bowlers now.
David Warner wants to shake off his struggling days in the Ashes and he is back in prime form and he is targeting a huge score, a smooth century partnership in the opening wicket and still carrying on, bad luck for the Pakistani bowlers as they will be bowling for 6 sessions until the Australians decide to declare the innings Wink.

New Zealand is back in the match and it is great to see the comeback as New Zealand dropped a couple of chances yesterday which were costly and now England lost some quick wickets and now they scored 328 loosing 8 wickets, Jos Buttler is still in the crease and if he can score some quick runs then they can post a total above 350 runs which is pretty decent consider the quick loss of wickets and the match depends on the New Zealand batsman now, if they can score some big runs then they can put England under pressure in their second innings.

Today we'll see how well the young Pakistan bowlers will go against a top Australian batting side. Its now up to the Pakistan bowlers to keep them in the game as a total of 240 runs isn't a good total batting first on this pitch every though it did seem to favour the bowlers. I'm expecting Australia to score at least 400+ runs on this pitch and if they do then they might only need to bat once in this match but time will tell on how well Pakistan bowl.
It is going to be a huge challenge for the young Pakistan team to be even competitive against Australia and i am looking forward to see how Smith is going to play in this series and i want to see him make some huge scores on the board and take the best player of the year award as he is a special player and his top form and he is scoring runs flawlessly and he is the main player in the team and the rest of the players bat around him.

Seriously, I'm starting to lose interest in cricket due to such decisions. It's time ICC get the umpires replaced by the robots.
I am not expecting that the umpires will be replaced by robots anytime soon, for every dismissals the on field umpire takes the third umpire can verify in a few seconds and report it to the on field umpire whether it is a no ball or not or a catch being completed as the third umpire have the help of the technology and that is the logical solution that having the umpires replaced by robots Wink.

6th wicket down now, have to say very bad decision from ground and third umpire. it was clearly no ball from pat Cummins but umpire gave Mohammad Rizwan out anyway. what's the use of technology if you still not going to use it correctly,
This has been a problem for sometime now. The frequency of bad decisions keeps increasing with time and I blame ICC for this. Majority of the decisions given by the umpires these days are so messed up that I feel like the viewers can do a better job in comparison.

Decsions like these against Pakistan are not new in Australia as we lost too many matches just because of decsions like this one I never forget this match https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/15759/scorecard/63855/australia-vs-pakistan-2nd-test-pakistan-tour-of-australia-1999-00 Pakistan was clearly going to win but one bad decsion change all and after end of match empire appologises they need to face truth and check before mistake even now we have technology.
