Guess they already took new ball.
New ball was taken from 80.3 overs. It was in a middle of the over LOL.

Anyway, now things are looking in favor of England and if they do manage a win then English supporters will remember it for long time also I will have a successful 3 fold tip (if India or NZ does not slip of course) :-D

Huge cheer from the crowd as soon as England batsmen heading towards the pavilion on the lunch break. England lost only 1 wicket in this session and now have a real chance in this match.
I do feel taking the new ball was not a right decision by the Aussies.

England to win or draw
I am worried about England though. This match is looking very unpredictable.
This one is tricky. English batsmen are fighting back, and I think they are going to make it to another end. 130 Runs more doesn't not impossible task from here. Aussie needs only 2 quick wickets to turn things around. Not sure if they took a new ball or not?

Guess they already took new ball.

Looks like I might be losing my 3 fold accumulator tip after all thanks to continuous rainfall.
What was you picks in the 3 fold? I remember you gone for straight wins?
Mine was:
England to win or draw
Nz to win or draw
India to win or draw

- England vs NZ will end in a draw

Its England vs AUS  and not between England VS NewZealand  Smiley

After Lyon got Root out it looks like Stokes and Bairstow are trying to play for a draw which is crazy considering there is still another day to go. They should play their shots and go for the win as England are in striking distance. If Australia get Stokes with the new ball then it will be over for England and Australia will retain the Ashes. Its going to be an interesting hour before lunch.

This match cannot be ended in draw until rain spoil the game. No matter how slow England play, they will win if they bat out the two days.
England 200 Up and physiologically they will be feeling better.

- India is about to decimate West Indies most probably thanks to Rahane and Kohli

- England vs NZ will end in a draw

- I am still rooting for England to win against Australia somehow through Stokes etc.

A great relief for Australia. Lyon may took the most important wicket of this match. Now the odds for Australia to win is more. England were nearly turning the match in their way. Thank God!

The next danger man I think could be Stokes. He is not playing strokes, just staying in the pitch. Australia needs his wicket now.

It does not matter whether he gets ban (or whatever) by it or not, the point in the first place why publish a picture which can create a lot of doubt.
Even it was effect of light, that's not a good picture to publish on net. This just shows the mentality of him.
Lol. What? He never did it on purpose and everyone already forgot about this stupid thing. Bumrah also set a new record(Test match wicket record). Stop trying to defame the best Indian bowler currently for silly reasons.

So at least you also agree that he did a stupid thing purposely or non-purposely.  Cheesy
I am not trying to defame the best Indian bowler. He is making things bad for himself.  Cheesy

I don't think England would manage to make 203 runs as once this partnership is broken, they again need a big partnership of 100+ runs to chase the remaining runs down. Bairstow and Buttler also are good batsmen but unable to build big partnerships on their own. They also are playing too slowly with a RR of only 2.2. Everything will be clear today.

Day 4 is going to be an interesting day as England are in with a shot of winning the match if Ben Stokes can stick with Root. Hazlewood will be the key to Australia winning as the pitch doesn't look like its doing much now but Hazlewood seems to get the ball in the right places to take wickets. We should see a result on day 4 as I can't see it going into day 5 and if England get the win it would be a huge momentum swing in England's favour for the rest of the series.
If England actually manage to do this, I would genuinely be surprised since I placed a bet on them and it would be a favorable result for me, but I am cautiously optimistic. If Root scores 100+ runs, England have a real shot here.

Yes, we have an exciting last day cricket left in this test match. At one point England was 15/2 and i thought Aussie will surely win this one too but then England recovered well. 203 runs still required to be made and its anybody game from here on in.

I would say that a slight advantage is with Australia. Their pacers have been spewing fire throughout the series and none of the English batsmen have been able to adjust with their pace and bounce. If Australia wins this match, then they'll be up 2-0 and it will be a big blow for England. But the big issue for Australia is that right now only two of their bowlers are in form.

I would have thought that England had the upper hand. But the third wicket changed everything and now both the teams are even. Joe Denly fell to Hazlewood just before the close of the 3rd day's play, and that changed everything. England was on its way to a famous win until that moment, but that one wicket changed all the equations.

Close to 200 overs remain now, but I guess we'll get a result before the end of the second session's play on the 4th day. I am still repeating this one more time: the absence of Mitchell Starc is going to hurt the Aussies badly and it was a really stupid decision to leave him. As far as I can see, James Pattinson is not doing a good job, either with the bat or with the ball.

In my opinion, both the teams have almost equal chances now. England have scored close to 50% of the target and they still have 7 wickets on hand. For Australia, the pacers are taking the wickets and bowling well, but the spinners have failed miserably (I had suggested after the second test to replace Nathan Lyon). We'll get a result today, but it is almost impossible to predict.

Hmmm... another batting collapse now. This time from Australia. They are now struggling at 52/3. If this is the sign of things to come, then I think the match will be over before tomorrow's lunch. Khawaja failed once more and now it is up to Travis Head and Labuschangne to build the innings. I don't expect the Australians to score more than 150.  Grin
According to me Australia is good team they have the guys to win this match and it Will be interesting one. It’s only 58/4 now but still it is reality that it Will not take more than one over to recover the loss and with this match I am sure Austrians will make good name in cricket world it is best field to bet though

What a comeback by England, I thought they will lose the match earlier. Root and Denly put a significant effort and seems like they will win the match at the end.
If England wins, it will be 10th highest successful chase in test cricket history. Despite being worse situation of the pictch, it has now turned into flexible for them. Would be better if England wins, otherwise, Ashes will not be that much interested.
England's best advantage is they are batting fourth day not fifth day and pitch is not going to help too much bowlers so they need to bat with patience if want to won this match and Root is key for them to win if he is going to stay for some time then surely they can win this match and level the series for me tomorrow first session could be important for both teams.

Anyways, I don't think Bumrah will get affected by it as he clarified that it was not transparent and was the effect of lights.
