Some might say that India has put 300+ runs on the board and looking okay but I believe India are in big trouble overall be it this test match or test series. Considering the injuries and Virat's unavailability and top of that every top order batter decided to go out of form in the same series. If we leave Jaiswal who was brilliant, it was a pathetic day for the Indian batters IMO.

England would be the happy side tonight because they got the 6 wickets and mind you, the first inning par score is here 450-ish and India are 1 wicket away from its tail.

Still, I don't understand why team management added one extra bowler when one of your premium all-rounder is not available to play. Gill probably has one more inning to bring his form, or he will be dropped and need to find his spot again with other performances.

Everybody had a start but none of them converted which is a worrying sign and this is what will happen when we have an inexperienced team.

At the time of tea, India were in really strong position but losing three wickets in the session 3 changed the way.

336 runs are not good on a wicket which is not favouring the bowlers. Indian batter got out because of their fault and not because the wicket was bad. Only Jaiswal was the one who was still teasing the British and scoring runs. All other Indians got out before they could even reach 40 runs. It is alarming as these guys are known to have played multiple international tournaments. Struggling to score runs on home ground is not a good sign as they are either out of form or busy partying in the Bollywood circle. BTW, stokes being a captain has only lost 4 test games in 20 matches that he captained the team, he does not want to lose any game but Rohit Baba is still not out of his World Cup loss.

Yes India have produced a brilliant first innings performance, where their batting has troubled the weak England bowling several times.  Now let see how the England team performs in their innings.  India will have to bowl well in their innings to keep their position strong.  In this both fast bowlers and spinners will have a critical role, and captaincy also has to use strategy wisely.  India have made a strong start and in this inning  Y Jaiswal performed very well and complete his own century but India need to build on the momentum and not let England's batsmen off the hook.  Ultimately, it is now to see which team is better in terms of skill and temperament.

The Indian team lost 6 wickets on this day but this time, Jaiswal is the player who wants to become a superman of his country and now we can call him Virat Kohli 2.0, I think if he performs like this so he should be a part of the next T20 World Cup, and he needed just 31 runs to completed his 200 and after it's two hundred he direct completed his 200 in the match where he hit first time century, and it was the 8 match of test that Jaiswal played. What a player he is. Now, today's day is finished and tomorrow first he completes 200 and then declares the innings.
India will begin the second day with four wickets in hand, and England requires four more wickets to bowl India out. While it's possible to see India getting bowled out quickly tomorrow, there's also the chance that Jaiswal reaches 200 before that. The first day clearly belonged to Jaiswal, and his innings was a treat to watch, showcasing his class as a player. England might be disappointed that he's still set to play tomorrow. The match is in a balanced state, and India will hope their tailenders can contribute by batting tomorrow as long as possible.

In the first test match between Afghanistan and Sri Lanka, the Sri Lankan bowlers bowled very well and bowled out the Afghanistan batsmen for just 198 runs. Afghanistan batsmen should have batted more responsibly in the test match because the lead of just 198 runs is not much. If Afghanistan batsmen could have batted responsibly, they could have given Srilanka a big lead. Rahmat Shah batted brilliantly, only this player batted well for Afghanistan. Rahmat Shah was dismissed for 91 off 149 balls. Today the Sri Lankan bowlers bowled brilliantly and put pressure on the Afghanistan batsmen from the start which resulted in the Afghanistan batsmen being bowled out for just 198 runs. Sri Lanka's Asitha Fernando and Vishwa Fernando bowled brilliantly. Vishwa Fernando bowled 12 overs and took four wickets with 51 runs. Asitha Fernando bowled 14 overs and took three wickets with 24 runs.

Afghanistan no doubt is a strong T20 side but they still have long way to go in test format. Once again they failed to produce a good total in test. The whole team was bowled out for just 198 and it include 91 runs of Rahmat Shah, he was unlucky to miss another test hundred. Rahmat Shah no doubt played brilliantly but he was not given company at other end. SL openers are steady so far, 57 runs in just 10 overs.

I agree with you. Afghanistan performed very well in T20 but compared to T20 Afghanistan performed very poorly in Test matches. Afghanistan team performed very well in Asia Cup ODI match against Sri Lanka but Afghanistan's batsmen did not perform so well in the first test match. If Afghanistan's opening pair could have batted responsibly it would have given Sri Lanka a bigger target and it would have been very easy for Afghanistan's bowlers if Afghanistan's bowlers could have bowled under control against Sri Lanka. Of course Afghanistan bowlers need to bowl well if Afghanistan bowlers can bowl well then Afghanistan game against Sri Lanka will be competitive. Sri Lanka bowlers bowled very well to bowl Afghanistan out for just 198 runs.

Jaiswal is something else in all formats these days. On the other hand, Gill keeps underperforming as usual. Wonder when Pujara will replace him.

On the other hand, Sri Lanka are destroying Afghanistan thanks to some great bowling spells by the Fernandos and Jayasuriya. This match seems like it's done in the first innings itself.

In the first innings of today's second Test match between India vs England, India opened the batting, losing three wickets and accumulating 225 runs so far.  In today's game, the most talked about player of the Indian team, Rohit Sharma, could not stay at the crease for a long time with the bat. Rohit Sharma was forced to leave the crease after scoring 14 runs off 41 balls. But Indian team batsman Yasshwi Jaiswal is in great form. Yasswi Jaiswal is unbeaten so far with 139 runs off 200 balls with the bat. Yasswi Jaiswal has managed to hit 15 fours and 4 boundaries so far. Now if Yasswi Jaiswal can make the innings longer. Then the Indian team will have the possibility of making 450+ in the first innings. On the other hand, although the bowlers of the England team could show some samples of their power in the early part of the bowling, now their bowling line is very weak.

India has scored 336 at the loss of 6 wickets which seems to be a great position for India to be in at the end of the day. Jaiswal is still not out. He has scored 179 alone. Remember he was the opener for India. So he has played out the whole day and he is also going to play on the next day. He is literally carrying India on his back in this first innings. No one else actually contributed anything close to him. No one else actually even scored more than 35. If he is still there till the end, I think India will be able to score at least 400. And Ashwin is also in the middle. So they might very well get more than 400.

Jaiswal batting has been the only reason why viewership on Jio Cinema app is above 6.6Cr. what a fabulous innings this young chap is playing, he has already got his 150 and he is eyeing for 200. The amount of patience and batting skills that has been displayed by him today has to be applauded. Currently he is on 165 and India has got 300 runs on the scoreboard which earlier on wan not expected after they lost 3 wickets quickly.

Jaiswal just made his 150, Patidar made 32(72), not many runs but I think it was more important to stay on crease, so I would say it was a good inning.

IMO India is doing good so far, everyone has contributed their fair share, ofc Jaiswal did the most but sometimes one players plays good, sometimes another (like, Rohit-Rinku in Afghanistan series where everyone else failed).

Though, I feel India would have been better off with an all-rounder, Iyer/Gill or Mukesh could be replaced for Sundar.
Very impressive inning from the Jaiswal as he holds nerve and done good job for the India while all others are fail to do anything big after having good start; wicket is batting friendly which will help batsmen on second and third day which is good for the England but things are still going in favour of India; now we have just 8 overs left in first days play and having this score they could be happy and surely looking for the 400 around because this could be good for them especially for the bowlers.

Saqib Bashir doing good job on his debut as bowled 23 overs and have one important wicket and veteran Anderson also done good job with having another important wicket of the Gill who was trying to settle after having good start.

First test between Sri Lanka vs Afghanistan which is currently playing at Colombo SSC after winning toss Sri Lanka bowling first and having good success with just Rahmat Shah done some resistance and have 91 runs which is impressive from him against these Sri Lankan spinners which are doing good job and Fernando and Jayasuriya having 6 wickets between them after A Fernando strike in first over of the match and took Ibrahm Zardan.

Most chances we will have around 200 from the Afghanistan but still this could be not enough for them to avoid big defeat because they have no quality bowlers for this test match as well which is surely going to be big problem for them now we have 30 overs left in today's play and things are looking for the early end of this test match.

Indian team batsmen are very dependable and confident, Yashasvi Jaiswal he scored 128 runs alone. He entered the field as an opening batsman and has remained unbeaten so far and the other three players who have been dismissed have also performed well. Now the two players who have formed a partnership are at least capable, Rajat Patidar and Yashasvi Jaiswal if the partnership of these two can survive for long then surely they can collect good runs. But comparatively England team is not doing good bowling performance as they are not able to fall more wickets till now. In this way, if the Indian team continues to collect runs, then I think they will be able to give a target of 480 runs in the end.
In the second test match of India vs England, India's opener pair started well, but in today's match, Rohit Sharma did not bat that well, Rohit Sharma got out with only 14 runs. But Yashasvi Jaiswal is playing very well, this batsman is unbeaten so far. Yashasvi Jaiswal has already scored a century with great batting, if he can finish the game in the first innings and survive till the end, he may score a double century. Yashasvi Jaiswal has scored 141 runs from 210 balls. So very soon we will see a double century. India's current score is 245 runs for 3 wickets in 79 overs. Looking at India's current game situation, it seems that India will give England a big run lead. Indian batsmen are batting responsibly, let's see how many runs they can lead in the end.

Gill had decent start and We know the ability of Rohit sharma so I won't blame them as long as they can perform as a team and start winnings. As of now Jaiswal is looking strong and cruising towards his ton, hope he can survive the 90s with some patience. Iyer looks not comfortable, but he is hanging there, team India is at good position now and if they can play at this same rate until tea hen score will get near 200.

Today is the second test match of India vs England, and again Indian team is losing at this time but if Virat Kohli had been there so he could have made runs and led their team to win but BCCI didn't want he will play, and they also can't reject him from squad otherwise people stop to watch cricket so that's why they slowly finish his cricket and when the world cup comes so maybe they kept him in reserve or didn't pick him and about this matter, BCCI met with him and on that meeting, we can think that he will not a part of next World Cup maybe.

As you said India can make 200 runs, making 200 runs in the test match won't be enough but Yashasvi Jaiswal is playing well, and India will make a decent score. The Indian last wicket of Shubman Gill fell on 89 runs and from that point onwards we are seeing a very good partnership. Shreyas Iyer is playing slowly at 22 but he is giving good support to Jaiswal who is making all the runs for the Indian team at the moment, and he is near to his century.

It's Virat decision to take a break from the two tests for personal reasons and he did same in the previous weeks too, so the accusation of team doesn't want Virat to play is just absturd.

I said India will score 200 at the end of the session, and as I said they crossed 200 now another partnership is building up between Jaiswal and Patidar and both batsmen looks solid in defence while keep scoring runs with some attacking shots which is good to watch. 400 is on the scorecard now.

Jaiswal missed his 100 in the first test match against England, achieved it in the second test. Another batter who is now challenging Shubhman Gills position as a opener. As usual Gill got out again early, this time he didn't waste a lot of balls. Iyer again not able to play Hartley and not able to bat longer, he is not been the same for quite sometime now. Patidar was replaced by Iyer when Gill was out and the management thought he will form a good partnership with Jaiswal. Now it is Patidar who needs to take all the pressure because of Gill and Iyer. More than Patidar the pressure would be on Jaiswal as he has been on the wicket since morning. I feel Patidar should rotate the strike and give Jaiswal more time with the bat.

Yashasvi Bhupendra Kumar Jaiswal created his first century in Test and I think it's the first century of his career, I also think he is in the mood to create 150, he is the only one who started innings, and present at this time means he is the opener who is present at this time. Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, and Shreyas Iyer can't play the bowling of the England team but who is paying is the name of Yashasvi Bhupendra Kumar Jaiswal.

I think if the Indian batting team plays like that so maybe after some time they will declare the innings, but I hope that they do it tomorrow. Yashasvi Jaiswal just needs the other Indian players to stand with him. The more the runs they score, the more pressure will be built on the England batting lineup.
