Gill had decent start and We know the ability of Rohit sharma so I won't blame them as long as they can perform as a team and start winnings. As of now Jaiswal is looking strong and cruising towards his ton, hope he can survive the 90s with some patience. Iyer looks not comfortable, but he is hanging there, team India is at good position now and if they can play at this same rate until tea hen score will get near 200.
Today is the second test match of India vs England, and again Indian team is losing at this time but if Virat Kohli had been there so he could have made runs and led their team to win but BCCI didn't want he will play, and they also can't reject him from squad otherwise people stop to watch cricket so that's why they slowly finish his cricket and when the world cup comes so maybe they kept him in reserve or didn't pick him and about this matter, BCCI met with him and on that meeting, we can think that he will not a part of next World Cup maybe.
As you said India can make 200 runs, making 200 runs in the test match won't be enough but Yashasvi Jaiswal is playing well, and India will make a decent score. Anderson gets his 691st test wicket in the form of Shubman Gill. This is why I mentioned previously that he is a much better choice for Indian conditions, when compared to Mark Wood or any of the other younger pacers. Spin bowlers have disappointed so far. Shoaib Bashir picked up Rohit Sharma early in his spell, but after that he has been quite wayward. And Tom Hartley seems to be nowhere near the spinner he was in the first match. It looks as if Joe Root needs to come to bowl without much delay, or else Indians will just walkaway with the match.

Gill looking good as of now saw him hit back to back two 4s against Bashir who is a debutant. He took Rohit's wicket, more than him I think it was a cunning captaincy by Stokes as Rohit never expected a fielder when he hit the ball. While writing this post Gill out, what an intelligent bowling by Anderson. Iyer has come out wondering why Patidar was moved back, does Rohit think he cannot handle this mess? If Iyer gets out early it will be a bigger mess than what it is now.

LOL.. fans of Sarfaraz Khan are going to be disappointed, as Rajat Patidar got the nod ahead of him. England did the right thing by including just James Anderson as the pace bowler. Last time they experimented with Mark Wood, but I personally believe that Anderson is a far better choice. Right now, he has 690 test wickets and his performance in this match will take him closer to that magical 700 wicket mark. It may or may not happen in this series (this is the second test and we have another 3 matches remaining).

Gill and Iyer should have been replaced with other players. Patidar long deserved debut has happened, he has been impressive but it took some time for him to be part of the team. He is already 30 years old and if he does bat effectively in the test match then he can be considered for the next one. I have seen Sundar's name most of the time on the list but he rarely gets to be part of the playing squad. Is Rohit having some kind of a grudge against this guy? Mukesh was effective against the South Africans and got a chance again against the England team. Lots of new faces in the team except the captain and Bhumrah.

Xavier Bartlett is running through the Windies at the moment thanks to bowling effectively without giving away too many extras so far. The Windies top order seriously sucks and keeps going down like a pack of dominoes again and again.
