Comparing Ireland's Test matches with England is rather absurd as England have played over 1060 Test matches where they have a record of winning 388 Test matches, losing 318 matches, and drawing 354 matches. If the England team has so many test matches in their basket then good performance is always expected from them.
On the other hand, Ireland team has only 6 test match experience in the basket. Ireland have lost six of their six matches. So it goes without saying how inexperienced this Ireland team is in Tests. However, these weak teams will become experienced teams once they play with strong teams like England and Australia.

Inexperience can't be used as an excuse for poor performance. If that is the case, then Ireland should not have the test status in the first place. Such one sided matches do a lot of harm to teams like Scotland and Nepal, who are aspiring to receive the test status themselves. And this is not the first time that Ireland has put up such a pathetic display. In the recent past, they had test matches against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, and all of the matches turned out to be lop sided. They are simply not yet ready for the longer format of the game.

Ireland is a new team in test format but still their batting is extremely bad and disappointing,  on day 1 they end their first innings on 172 runs  and not a single player performed good .
England obviously will win this one easily but still ireland need to work alot on their batting.

England team have planned for some record, because every batsmen is playing as if like playing ODI. Even if the match ends by the second day of the match, nothing to get surprised. The bowling lineup isn't good, and Ireland needs to concentrate much on it. The batting order is good, if they play bit more responsible we can see better scoring from the players.
It has become a trend for the England team to play the test like an ODI match. I think they will declare their first innings tomorrow after batting for the first two sessions. They will score enough to win the match by an innings within the first two sessions. Ireland has some good batsman, but they aren't experienced enough for the test format. I hope they will be able to fight back in the second innings. Harry Tector, Lorcan Tucker and Stirling are some dependable batsmen for Ireland.

Ireland is not having the caliber of batsman that could face Stuart Board and England should have experimented with youngsters when they are facing a team like Ireland. It is going to be a one sided match and i would be surprised if the match drags to the final day.

England trail by 154 runs and the England batsman would take this as a batting practice and would score a huge first innings lead.

First day of this test match is just completely as expected dominant by England, no Irish batsman were able to perform as requirements which Stuart Board steal the show in absence of James Anderson and have 5 for 51 which is good start of this season for him now he is also heading for the figure of 600 which he can complete in this season after bowling out Ireland on score of 172 England start their new season with Buzz ball and have impressive batting from Duckett and Crawley as they have 100+ runs very quickly now most chances tomorrow we will have another 300 which could be OK for them to win this match by an inning before The Ashes this could be amazing start for them because this will give them good confidence and better preparation for the start of this historic series.

Once again, Ireland has disappointed with their batting. Ireland made 172 in their first innings, with contributions coming from James McCollum (36), Curtis Campher (34) and Paul Stirling (30). Stuart Broad took 5 wickets till now and he has 581 wickets to his name.

Looks like Ireland first innings will be over by today. Right now Ireland have lost the 5th wicket. Most of the match this is the situation. Used to loss wickets at the  beginning and the lower order used to contribute better than the opening order. Atleast 250+ runs is a must to have a better match between the teams. McCollum -36, Moor - 10, Balbirnie - 0, Tector - 0, Stirling - 30. Stuart Broad in good form and have taken 4 wickets.
I had high expectations from Ireland's batsmen in this match. Because in the last few matches, I have seen Ireland's batsmen perform well. Ireland could not win though. However, Ireland's batsmen managed to perform very well. But against England's bowlers, Ireland's players are unable to survive at the crease.
Ireland lost their sixth wicket by 104 runs. Ireland has now collected 124 runs. Campher and McBrine are batting now. These two batsmen are quite experienced. If they survive I guess Ireland will collect like 250. But the probability of this is very low.
Stuart Broad bowled just 13 overs and gave away 5 maidens. And managed to take 5 wickets. Ireland will probably lose all wickets before 200 runs.
Other than Balbirnie and Tector there is contribution from every player, but none have come up with solid performance. Campher have scored 32* runs. More than 50 partnership between players is must for Ireland reach 200+ runs, if not this is going to be a match with first innings score less than 200 runs. Ireland have reached 169/8 at the end of 54 overs. There is big expectation on batting, and now somehow the team is good crossing 150+ runs which at the beginning is at a very bad position of 19/3
None of Ireland's batsmen can perform well. The highest collection for Ireland was by Paul Stirling. Stirling scored 30 runs. Ireland's first innings collection was only 172 runs. England players will not have any problem collecting 172 runs. England has already collected 145 runs. England has just lost 1 wicket. Zak Crawley returned to the dressing room with 56 off 45 balls. Duckett 58 and Ollie Pope 26 at the crease. Ireland's bowling line-up is very weak. My guess is that England will score at least 450 runs in the first innings. Ireland's team is going to lose very badly in this match.

Seems to be very bad loss for Ireland.

The batting of England's batsmen does not look like it is a Test match. England's collection of 152 runs at the end of the first day. Opener Crawley scored 56 runs. Crawley's strike rate was 124.4. The strike rate of the other two batsmen Duckett and Pope is more than 80. In the Test format, batsmen usually bat patiently and bat slowly. As Ireland's bowlers are inexperienced, England's batsmen are making good use of this opportunity. England will collect big in the first innings. And England will win this match by an innings.

Bangladesh A team will lose badly against West Indies. Bangladesh lost their first wicket by 25 runs. And the Bangladesh team lost three wickets to collect only 66 runs. And now Bangladesh's collection is only 70 runs. Bangladesh are still trailing by 375 runs. Now if the batsmen of Bangladesh are not able to build a big partnership then the Bangladesh team will not be able to collect even 250 runs. Yasir Ali and Saif Hassan are batting now. If this pair does not play well, I will say Bangladesh will lose all wickets before 250.
The Bangladesh A team is batting irresponsibly against the West Indies A team. Because if Bangladesh is 250 or 300 runs behind the West Indies in the first innings, Bangladesh may be invited to bat again by the West Indies A team. In that case, the chances of Bangladesh losing by innings are very high. I had a bit of faith in the front row batsmen but the way they got out now I don't have a bit of faith in these batsmen who will see Bangladesh all out against West Indies at any moment. Because tomorrow when Bangladesh will start batting in a new way and West Indies will start bowling with a new ball, it will be very difficult for the Bangladeshi batsmen to face the new ball.
Even though this is the Bangladesh A team a lot of players in this team have already played in the national team of Bangladesh. So I do not understand how Bangladesh can perform so badly! Maybe the Bangladesh team is not taking this seriously because this is an unofficial test match. But that is certainly not an excuse which should be given by the players.

Bangladesh team has multiple players who should be performing a lot better than they are doing right now. I don't know if they actually take cricket seriously or just as a hobby. I believe there should have some reality checks being done to them by not getting selected in the future. That will make them try to perform better.
If we think that Bangladesh players are not taking this match seriously after seeing the unofficial test match then we will be wrong because Bangladesh A team is failing despite trying against West Indies A team.
Several top players are playing for Bangladesh but still they are not doing well. Basically Bangladesh's main problem is that they are not that used to Test cricket. Bangladesh is not able to achieve much success in this cricket even after trying for a long time.
And one more thing is that the interest of the players in this five-day match is a little less so the result of the test match is like this.
BCB should be strict about this. If BCB is not strict about this then their test cricket will never improve.

I think the Bangladesh team is not taking this series seriously. But Bangladesh should play these series very seriously. Because the Bangladesh team is always weak in the Test format. They should boost their confidence and make themselves more experienced by performing well in these matches. But the Bangladesh team is not doing that.

Bangladesh players collected only 205 runs in the first innings. And in the second innings, the two openers started well enough. Despite collecting 45 runs, Bangladesh did not lose any wickets. Every West Indies bowler had a good performance. The West Indies team will also perform better in the Test format in future.

England going with full force and putting up a strong display against a team like Ireland. It was not surprising that Ireland got bowled out for just 172 runs in their first innings. However, after their poor batting performance, it seems that their bowlers have been unable to make any break-through against England's openers so far. At this moment, England are currently trailing by 63 runs and they are expected to put up a big score soon.

But we need to remember that the Irish attack is very inexperienced, except Mark Adair and Andy McBrine.

Ireland has lost a wicket early on, as Peter Moor got out leg before to Stuart Broad (his 577th test wicket). Moor had opened the batting along with James McCollum and neither of them looked comfortable out there against the pace duo of Stuart Broad and Matthew Potts. Josh Tongue, the fast bowler from Worcestershire is making his debut today and the 4th pacer in England XI is Ben Stokes. Jack Leach is the only full-time spinner. Irish batting looks strong, at least on paper, but their bowling is mainly consisted of inexperienced players. Mark Adair and Curtis Campher will be handing pace bowling, supported by Fionn Hand and Graham Hume.

Edit: Andy Balbirnie is out, giving Stuart Broad his 578th test wicket. Ireland at 19/2.
Edit 2: Harry Tector is out, giving Stuart Broad his 579th test wicket. Ireland at 19/3.
Edit 3: Paul Stirling is out, giving Stuart Broad his 580th test wicket. Ireland at 19/4. Stirling reviews, and decision is overturned.

Stuart Board might well reach near to 600 wickets after the end of this test match. Three wickets on the first day is a considered good bowling. Ireland already lost 4 wickets without even reaching 100 was expected. They are playing against a formidable team in test cricket. Unless they have score of 200+ on board I don't think they will be able to give a good fight.
When 4 wickets fall for 78 runs, not much can be expected from the team. As Ireland lost 4 of their top order in the 1st innings, how far they can go tomorrow that will be the main point. But I would agree with you that if they can't score 200 then how will they fight against England. Because England is known most experienced team in the test cricket. If Ireland can play a full day they will be able to score good runs but I don't think they will be able to score 200 in these conditions.

Bad start by Ireland against England 3 wickets already gone on 30 runs , all their batting lineup is almost gone which makes it quite clear that England is going to win this one easily.
Brilliant balling by stuart broad 3 wickets and its still day 1.
Ireland has come out to bat now. Ireland has lost 3 wickets by scoring 53 runs in 18 overs. I understand that Ireland is weak in batting in the Test match. However, Ireland's batting may not be able to collect good runs today. We know that England has a lot of strength in both bowling and batting. It seems that England's boller will get all the batsmen out of Ireland.
