op I agree with you. When Bangladesh were missing three wickets for 183 runs. Looking at the playing situation of Bangladesh at that time, it seemed that Bangladesh would cross 400, maybe we were going to give a big target to New Zealand. Bangladesh are playing well in their own stadium because they are not used to playing in their own stadium. However, New Zealand is a good enough team, so it is expected that Bangladesh will be able to cross 300 something runs in the first innings. And in 2nd innings New Zealand can win the match just because Bangladesh played well in 1st innings and scored a bit better doesn't mean they can play 2nd innings as well. I think New Zealand has more chances to win the match than Bangladesh

Bangladesh had a chance to score more, but some of the batters gave away their wickets too easily. Have to mention Glenn Phillips who is turning out to be quite useful with the ball and in the field. He brings a lot of energy to the game. Now, the Kiwis need to bat really well to do well in this test match. Considering how Phillips is performing, a score of 300 plus isn't bad on this kind of pitch. Keep the hope alive, because you never know what might happen tomorrow in cricket!

Since the Cricket World Cup, the confidence in Bangladesh has gone. Bangladesh scored 310 runs for 9 wickets batting first and they are still playing. But this run is not enough to win the Test match. After playing the first innings of New Zealand, it will be understood what the situation will be in Bangladesh. 300+ runs is not a bad first innings score and not a strong score either. So Bangladesh can still be happy with such runs. But whether they can win this match will be understood only after New Zealand bats in the first innings. Let's see what happens in the end

@Sithara007 Bangladesh player’s need to learn to control the innings especially in the test format because had they been little more patient then they could have a solid chance of causing an upset here. Furthermore even though I agree that Bangladesh bowlers may do well but I strongly feel that New Zealand batsmen will prevail and probably hammer them before they lose their wicket hence for now the advantage is with New Zealand.

Mahmudul Hasan Joy batting performance today outstanding scored 86 runs in just 116 balls, but unfortunately miss his well deserved century by 14 runs short. New Zealand bowling performance is well especially Glenn Phillips a part time bowlers picked 4 important wicktes by giving 53 runs in 16 overs and Ajaz Patel also bowl well picked 2 wickets by giving 76 runs in 24 overs and restricted Bangladesh under 400 now its difficult for Bangladesh to cross 400 runs and only mange to scores 320 or 330 runs against New Zealand.

Play stopped due to bad light and Bangladesh are at 310/9. They have the psychological advantage with them that they didn't got bowled out today. But New Zealand came back strongly during the third session with a total of 5 wickets. Bangladesh was going strong at 184/3, but by the end of the day they finished at 310/9. Part-timer Glenn Phillips was the pick of the bowlers, while full-time spinners (Ajaz Patel and Ish Sodhi) picked up just 3 wickets after conceding a total of 147 runs. Mitchell Santner would have been a better choice IMO.

Bangladesh slighty off the track and it seems like they will be bowled out before first days stumps. Mahmudul Hasan Joy had a great knock of 86 runs, nothing much seen from rest of Bangladeshi batting lineup. Glenn Phillips whose main role is a wicket keeper has picked up 2 wickets. There is lots of support for spinner in Sylhet pitch.
