Joe Root gone!!!! Shardul Thakur bowls the ball of the series and castles the England captain. Now I feel that it's just a matter of time before India takes the three remaining wickets. And they will go up by 2-1 in this series.
Full credits to India and the bowlers, from England reaching a century partnership for the first wicket and then to come back from that position and pick 7 wickets is incredible and India changed the match in a session and they are winning matches outside India in a dominant fashion is incredible.

It will be huge relief for Kohli, who was facing criticism from all quarters for including Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane, as well as for his decision to keep Ravichandran Ashwin out of the playing XI. All that is going to vanish after this win, and Kohli's position as the captain is guaranteed for another 2-3 years at least.
Virat Kohli and the coach is getting off with their terrible performance because they have an incredible bowling lineup and Jasprit Bumrah is bowling tight line and length at a good pace and they are able to pick wickets despite the absence of Mohammed Shami and Ashwin.

Edit: Another wicket gone.

Vaccinized.. immunity level is full.
Moeen Ali is gone for a duck and the match is turned upside down after lunch Cry.

They lost the third wicket for 141 runs. And they lost their sixth wicket for 147 runs. Such an unprofessional performance could not be expected from the England team. Everyone expected good performances from Ollie Pope and Bairstow. Because they perform well in the first inning. Joe Root is now England's only hope. If he is out, England will undoubtedly lose.

We just saw some beautiful falling wickets after lunch since the Indian bowlers are on fire right now. The spell from Bumrah after lunch is absolutely magical. Changed the match within a few overs. Such a classic Test match. India's fastest bowler to 100 wickets in Tests. It will take two more wickets for India to win.

What the hell is going on with England, loosing a wicket to a run out and now two quick wickets by Jasprit Bumrah as he cleaned bowled Ollie Pope and Jonny Bairstow and those were superb deliveries, the match is getting interesting and India is somehow trying to sneak a win here and they have plenty of overs to win the match by picking the rest of the 5 wickets and one more wicket and their tail is exposed.

The positive aspect for England is that they did not loose wickets and in the final day they have 90 overs to bat and the target to get is 291 runs which is a perfect scenario for them. India will be missing Ashwin as the pitch is turning and Jadeja was not able to bowl a consistent line and length and India needs to pick wickets somehow to put pressure on England.

England still need 222 runs to win the match which now seems impossible for them to get. This means that England cannot win this match and India cannot lose this match. I think currently India is on top and they have enough time to bowl out England provided they attack more and make England batsmen make mistakes.

The match depends upon how Joe Root is going to perform and how long the openers will bat. The pitch is not providing any assistance to the fast bowlers and the ball is not reversing either and spinners would get the advantage if they ball to the rough but Jadeja did not exploit those rough spots yesterday and they only have one spinner in the team which can be a difference if they struggle to pick wickets in the morning session.

Joe Root is yet to bat, and he may play a crucial role later in the innings. But for now, it is going to be Dawid Malan and Haseeb Hameed. Burns and Hameed surprised everyone with their 100 run stand.
Siraj dropped Hameed and hurt himself this could be bad for India in both ways but Siraj is back on the field, but this drop can hurt at the end of the day.

Edit: Luck is going in England way.

Edit: Run-out on a flat pitch is gift for India Malan gone now 120/2 Root is on.

Edit: 2 quick wickets after lunch now India in complete control of this match and series  146/4

If the second wicket stand adds another 70-80 runs, then the match will suddenly become interesting. But for now, England is on the backfoot and they trail by 256 runs (with 74 overs remaining).

I would still, say that India is having a 80% to 90% chance of winning this match. The opening stand between Burns and Hameed surprised me, but I don't expect them to last long. England still need close to 300 runs, which is an almost impossible task on the 5th day. India will be missing a regular spinner, as Jadeja is not very useful during long spells. The Indian pacers need to get the Poms out. Kohli needs to use his best bowler (Jasprit Bumrah) effectively, and needs to decide which other bowler should bowl on the other end.

291 runs in 90 or 98 overs, required run rate is 3.2 or 2.9

Flat pitch, 10 wickets in hand and there is no Ashwin, England might fancy their chances. Its going to be excellent chase if they manage to hold their nerves.

Any predictions?
Today we are going to have one of best matches because two top ranked teams fighting for glory, and we can expect all three results, but India is going with some advantage because they never lost any match after giving 350+ target and if England going to win surely this is record for them now fingers crossed.
My Heart is with England but Mind saying India can win this match all depend on Kohli today how is he managing his bowlers for this another famous win.

It will be very difficult for India to get this match out even though this match goes to fifty-two teams. Moreover on the fifth day the wicket became fairly familiar and batting became very difficult. So it is not difficult for India to win the match. England, on the other hand, have ten wickets and can play more than 90 overs.

It's very hard to win the match but my prediction only for drawn the match. However the good point for england that they can get a fresh chance because they have no wickets lost .

This over 90 No incident in the innings as the only target for India is 10 wickets. England, on the other hand, have no choice but to pick up the wickets. However, cricket is a game of complete uncertainty. Here's that Anything can happen in an instant.
Looking at the way in which India played in the second innings and how England started their second innings do you think it would be any easier for the bowlers. The wicket is helping the spinners but India does not have a genuine spinner who could take advantage of the foot marks and that is a disaster on how the team analyzed the pitch.

India will be looking to pick wickets and England will be looking to chase the score down and only wickets at regular intervals could stop England from winning this match.

My guess is that giving India a target of more than 300 runs would be enough if their bowlers could bowl in a planned way. And if the captain can use the bowlers properly. India scored 466 runs. They also gave England a huge target of 368 runs. England has not lost a wicket for 34 runs yet. If India can take at least one wicket today, it will be good for them. If the first three batsmen spend too much time at the crease, it will be a threat to India. At least Root will not be allowed to play big innings. So far it is not possible to predict where the outcome of the match will go.

For England, it is an impossible target. The Indian bowlers are in splendid form, and apart from Joe Root none of the England batsmen have been scoring consistently. 16 overs remain for today and England still tails by 317 runs. Can they finish today's play without the loss of any wickets? I would say that the chances are extremely low, although Rory Burns and Haseeb Hameed seems to be enjoying their stay at the crease. One thing that could work to England's advantage is that India is without a full-time spinner.
What an excellent batting performance by Indian lower order, they have really put up a great show today and made India reach 466 which really looked impossible at one time the best I expected was 400 but these are 66 bonus runs, but I think India have lost thin bonus already in the last session with England making unbeaten 77, but this might act as a blessing in disguise for India as the target tomorrow now would look achievable to the English folks which means they could make a desperate effort to reach there giving India some chances to take wickets, while if they would have decided to play only defensively, taking wickets would have been impossible.

I just loved the way sardul thakur bats, 50 in both the innings is a great achivement where top order batsman are struggling to score those runs shardul is doing it with ease, specially 3-4 straight drive that he played just loved that.
Shardul Thakur scored half centuries in both the innings and he looks like a solid player who plays some textbook shots and he can be a proper all rounder for India. I am actually surprised that India was able to score 466 runs in the second innings. India started well and the pitch looks helpful for batting and England still needs 307 runs to win which is a huge task considering how weak their middle order is if Root is not able to perform.
