Stokes will be a victory to England , he is the kind of player that is needed for the game , he is the kind of player full of energy.. if you look back to his previous games he has always deliver. The best decision is for England to carry stoke along .

Stokes is a really important player for England regardless of the situation. He can turn a match on its head at any given time. He is also a class all-rounder. So he's basically the Shakib Al Hasan of England. And if England wants to even have a chance against India they do be needing stocks in their squad. Though he has been away for a long time I think him being in the squad will help a lot as he can do things almost no other player can.
If Stokes is fully fit, then I don't have an issue of England includes him in the playing XI. In around one month time, the Ashes series will start and we will get to see whether Stokes is performing up to the mark or not. Let's not forget the fact that he took the break from cricket due to mental health issues. I am not sure whether he can be back all of a sudden, without sufficient exposure to county matches. The last time he took part in domestic cricket was four months ago. He needs at least 2-3 county matches before the Ashes series.
@Sithara007 Stokes is very strong mentally too, and by taking a break he’s going to become even stronger and better and he’ll be a nightmare for Australia in the Ashes. Also with his experience I’m sure he’ll pick up where he left even without match practice, but if he can get some practise then it’ll definitely help him sharpen his skills.

That's true. Doesn't matter how good you are, with some practice, you can become far better. But the thing about players form is about feeling it on a certain day. One day, a beautiful cover drive goes for four and the other day the same cover drive goes to a fielder. So, I do hope stokes come back and continue by 'feeling it'. But I'm sure he'll do great regardless.
Well stokes is surely a confidence player and even with a gap of many month from cricket i am sure he would come back with a positive frame of mind.
Both in his batting as well as with his bowling and not to forget his fielding as well. He is a complete package for the england team and looking forward to see him in the ashes.

From conceding 4 sixes in the final of T20 Wrodlcup 2016 to becoming no 1 allrounder in all formats, Ben has completed this journey in a very short duration. His comparison with Shakib is very much valid as both are vital for their teams. He has taken 163 wickets in tests while having batting average of 37. England is strong enough and can perform well even if he misses Ashes.

AFAIK, stokes was not in the squad that was announced on 10 Oct 2021 (source). His inclusion will definatly a big plus for England as he has good Test record.
Hope to see some fine cricket in the form of Ashes Test series, have seen too much T20. we all need some break and must see Test that is proper form of cricket.

England badly needs him to strengthen their batting and bowling lineup. Apart from Root and Anderson, none of the other England bowlers are consistent against India. He is not included in the squad for the Ashes, however if he returns for the one-off test against India then it will be a huge boost for England. Honestly, without Stokes England doesn't have much of a chance against India. They have the home advantage, but even that was not enough to prevent India from taking a 2-1 lead last time.

Not only in batting, he bowls some useful overs too and can be a wicket taker for England in some conditions. He makes things happen in the field weather in bat or ball in the hand. Yes in the series against India England batting was not upto the mark and may be his inclusion will boost their batting line up.

It would be a huge boost for England with the return of stokes in the team for the Ashes. We still remember his partnership with leach for the 11th wicket that won england the match he is a match winner and really great to see him back in the side for the ashes..

The thing is, Archer and Stokes are two world-class players and are known for their great impact in-game. They have been away for a long, that's true. But that doesn't mean they are not the players they were once. I am counting on them for having a good impact on the game. And they both have the capability to do so.

And about Stuart Broad and Anderson, they are very patient bowlers. It can be tricky to handle them sometimes, but I think Indian batsmen can do that.
Jofra and Stokes both have very good record if these both coming in The Ashes then surely it's going to be very good for England because their bowling and batting both could be strong and have some confidence because Stokes presence is really great for moral of England team. Still they have some issues in batting because in current squad they have no specialist test batsman with good approach to game as we have watch in series against India, but Stokes can make some good change for them in middle order.

About Anderson and Broad without any doubt these two are legends of test in current time, age factor is also not having bad impact on Anderson game which is great, and we can give him as a role model for new generation of cricket.

The inclusion of Ben Stakes made headlines in all the newspaper as he is one of their best players and his inclusion is an added bonus for them and i was checking about his injury status as mentioned above and it was a injury that he sustained earlier and it should be sorted by now because he is out from cricket for a long time.
When it comes to Jofra Archer there is no update regarding his injury but his old tweet is trending where he predicted to pick the wickets of Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul Cheesy.

Jofra had two outings in July for Sussex, and he hasn't played any competitive cricket after that. Same goes for Ben Stokes as well. The last match he played was on July, for the Northern Superchargers. These guys have been out of cricket for so long, and I don't think that they will make an immediate impact when they face India. I will stick with my prediction. For Indian batsmen, the danger comes from James Anderson and Stuart Broad. If the likes of Kohli and Rohit can handle these two, then India will win the series.

Stokes coming back is great news for England as they were struggling against India and him coming back will surely make this squad much stronger. He can also give some stability in the pace department as there is no Jofra archer. And as of jofra's news, I think he will need a little more time. And even though Ben strokes is a very important player for England and I think they still should give him some time to fully recover.

~ After twenty/20 CWC we will have some very busy schedule for few teams like India England Australia and South Africa as these are going to for different tours, hopefully cricket will be better after this long COVID-19 break.

Big series coming New Zealand tour of India, Pakistan tour of Bangladesh and England tour of Australia and India tour of South Africa.
More than a month of cricket in the T20 format, the main tournament that is coming up is the Ashes, i am not telling that the rest of the tournament are not that important but everyone likes to see the Ashes because of the level of competition we should expect in that series. New Zealand tour of India, India will be having an advantage and Pakistan tour of Bangladesh will be interesting along with India touring South Africa because India defeated Australia and England but they are yet to defeat South Africa convincingly while touring .
Now after arrival of Stokes Ashes is also going to be some interested because with this entry they have some better and fair chance. Before this entry, I was sure about one-sided affair because English batting is not good as it's needed for this tough competition, but this is a good booster for them.

For South Africa vs India right now I am feeling very good about Indian chance in this series because home team is facing some serious issues through their management and on political basis, so they are not able to fight and have some good fight against team like India but still we have to be some good and fair competition.

Bangladesh vs Pakistan this could be good for both teams, home team is currently in not good shape but still can upset Pakistan with home advantage.

Vaccinized.. immunity level is full.
One news coming out that Ben Stokes is now available for the upcoming Ashes series. Stokes recovering quite well from his finger injury and back in the nets with low intense training. This is incredible news for the England considering Jofra Archer is not there.
This is huge news for the team as it will boost their team as he was an integral part of the team but how he is mentally prepared is yet to be seen. How come he injured his finger when he was not even playing for a long time. I wish he was ready before the World Cup as they needed him as an all rounder who could make a difference. What is the status of Jofra Archer as he is always struggling with injury.

The ICC should see Afghanistan as a team and not look in their political issues. Even though we know that Afghanistan Talibans are threat to the world but this has nothing to do with cricket. If they are playing good cricket, then ICC should not ban them.
By the way, is there any news which hints that ICC may impose ban on Afghanistan cricket board or is it just speculation ?

Unfortunately we can't expect anything from icc on such matters. The new regime in Afghanistan don't have good relations with big 3, rest you can understand yourself.

I am just tired of hearing this "Big Three" being used recently as an excuse of failure. No one should stand in your way of success, if you have the passion and will.
Why can't these Not-big-three can make themselves big by their performance.
