Sooner or later Afghanistan will be eliminated from icc n primary reason is there new government has differences with India and India will use icc to restrict them from playing international matches. India investment in Afghanistan has gone down to zero after New take over.
But in the end it will be Afghanistan players that will suffer. They have made huge progress in recent years n chances are that it will be down to zero. Only neutral icc can allow them to play cricket.

Apartheid era South Africa was kicked out from the ICC for discriminating against the racial minorities. Here, Taliban is doing much worse. They are literally exterminating the religious minorities. Given this, the ICC don't have any option other than to terminate them. The funding will stop as well. Because whatever funds being provided to the Afghan cricket board will end up with the Taliban terrorists and they will use those funds to spread terror in neighboring regions. No need to blame the BCCI here. Even the other boards such as the ECB and CA will do the same.

I think until and unless the world recognises the Taliban government they will face such discrimination. Taliban has not done anything well till now to convince the world that they have evolved from what they were in the 90s. You are right it can be a matter of months before ICC decides to remove the Afghan cricket board from the official list of cricket playing nation.

Yeah afganistan is facing some terrible times and they need support from ICC as well as other country boards as well. Afganistan is full of talent and if given right guidance they can become a team to beat in the upcoming times. Rashid khan can be one of the best spinners in the test as well like he is in t-20
I do not think that there i no issue for the Afghanistan cricket board but the outside world might take action against them because of the Taliban rule as they do not allow Woman sports at all and Cricket Australia is vocal and they might call off matches against Afghanistan if the situation does not change, the biggest question is what will the ICC's position in this regard, as we are yet to hear any statement from them.

Welcome back 🙏

It's not tricky for them, it's just a biased because few countries using their power in wrong way as they have some loses and now want to cover by this which make sense but filthy politics here in third world. Because I am feeling if you have any problem you need to sit and talk about this, never ban or restrict their positive ways for having your own sack. Here my feeling is if ICC ban Afghanistan then their players still have chance for playing in different leagues and through many franchises and this could be massive blunder from ICC.

What about the new talent that is in Afghanistan and still not recognized by the Afghan cricket team nor by any T20 leagues? The long-term solution for Afghanistan cricket is that their government and ICC must sit side by side and talk. Afghanistan has so many talented players and if they are left alone at this time they all will never be able to make it to the main cricket ground.

I guess ICC will never sit with them because they are totally controlled by Indian Authorities, and they are not happy with situation in Afghanistan secondly this is not serious matter right now they can do much better in near future because surely world will organize them now or later, so they can grow as they are doing right now even they could be much better because surely in near future situation is going to improve here. And new regime is going to allow youths for these positive activities in near future as soccer is also very popular sports here.

I am positive about them and their future in sports because I am watching this all for some time, it's matter of time which is going to change in near future for peace and love here in this region after very long civil war.

It is a tricky situation for Afghanistan and their sporting future is in chaos, they had some talented players and i am sure majority of the cricket players left the country fearing for their life once the Taliban took over the country.

Not sure what decision the ICC will be taking in this regard but they should be allowed to play as they have some serious talents.

No matter how much you defend them, it is just a matter of time before Afghanistan is suspended or expelled from the ICC. They should be thankful to the ICC that they were allowed to participate in the T20 World Cup. Other sports bodies such as the FIFA have taken a much more stringent stance. And given the pressure from the big 3 boards, I don't think that the ICC has any other option. Taliban is a bunch of murderous terrorists and the ICC can't afford to provide them with any recognition or legitimacy.

After reading this all I am feeling you are overreacting because there is nothing serious happen in Afghanistan or Pakistan it's just happening in Social Media which are controlled by few companies, and they are allowing propaganda for few countries benefit. And in Afghanistan if they are extremist then please clarify who is in India currently ruling. Right now I don't want to discuss this all but after reading your comments posting this surely it's all about money and power, nothing else. If IPL is possible in Covid-19 just because of money, then everything is possible. Currently, Afghanistan is much better than past governments because they are now managing things properly and corruption is also in their agenda which was never been controlled in last 2 decades by Democratic governments.

Right now we have no professionalism in game specially in cricket it's all about money and power so if someone is not coming in Pakistan it's his decision Pakistan need to think about this and if they feel strong then announces they will not tour any country which is not coming in Pakistan but if they are not capable of doing things like this they surely have to face things like this no one remember what Pakistan do in past all living in present, and they want money in name of personal security and terrorism.
I am still surprised to see that this topic is being discussed here still. Are you watching world news and do you have any idea what is going on in Afghanistan and the main reason why New Zealand pulled out from the tour is because of the Afghanistan takeover by extreme groups as far as i understand even thought they are yet to clarify the reason behind it.

Sri Lanka, South Africa and West Indies already toured, and they have no issue even New Zealand players was feeling good just few hours before start of game and then suddenly they have terror threat it's all confused and really suspicious we all know what happen, so now these all are useless talks.
So what is your theory, some cricket board is paying New Zealand cricket board to pull out of the tour of Pakistan  Roll Eyes. What is the point you are trying to make.

There are four big teams that are reluctant to play in Pakistan which are big 3 and there ally CNZ.
Pakistan was the first country to travel and play in NZ after Bangladesh cricket team survived an assassination attempt there. Moreover, Pakistan also toured England in difficult time of covid19. Both countries replied by canceling tours to Pakistan.
My friend Pakistan has already arranged tours of SL, RSA, Bangla, WI and ZIM at home. It seems like real issue is not security but something else.

@coinism this is not new and totally expected from Pakistan to blame their neighbour country for the cancellation, but I feel this is false because New Zealand would never have canceled it to please India.

Also the reality is Pakistan should continue playing in UAE, and try and host more smaller teams in Pakistan, and then over a time try to get big teams to come, because after the New Zealand fiasco big teams won’t be keen to travel and  play there.

The problem is not with the fans. The real issue is with the revenues. If the matches are conducted in the UAE, then the PCB needs to pay Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) a certain amount for covering the expenses, as well as a share of the TV broadcasting revenues. The gate collection will also be taken by the ECB. Then there are additional expenses, for setting up training camps and to organize accommodation for the players and non-playing staff. The PCB wil be in a bad position after all this, because their revenues are already down due to the COVID 19 pandemic.

Pakistan has successfully conducted series with sri lanka, south africa, zim and Bangladesh at home. All these series went fine. Recently PM of Pakistan hinted that India is behind recent tour cancellation of CNZ (source). Both India and Pak are big rivals, its India that is at the top of cricket affairs. Pakistan must not expect good things for him as long as India is at the top.

No one can stop this blame game because it's happening for very long time these two countries and fact is there are many issues where these are trying to hurt each other by their own as happen in Afghanistan, Indian crying they lost some good money as they were spending for their basis which was used against Pakistan. On other side Indian crying about terror in India by Pakistan it's all in business since 1947 and now heated up after arrival of Modi Government.

But right now we have some good news from Dubai as ACC announces their scheduled events which coming in next few years, and they announce Pakistan will host Asia Cup in 2023 even It's too early but still good news for Pakistan cricket and their fans.

These sort of accusations are just ridiculous. The BCCI has no dominance on the government of New Zealand. If it was the decision from NZC, then we could have considered this possibility. But in this case, it was the government of Jacinda Ardern (which is considered very friendly to Pakistan), that directed the NZC to pull out of the Pakistan tour. I don't really understand what the BCCI or the Indian government has to do here. The Pakistan government should first sort out its issues with the NZ government rather than blaming India.

UAE is not a foreign territory for Pakistan as they have their fans in huge numbers  and UAE was their neutral ground for over a decade and their local fans deserve to see them play in their home country and i do support that but for that you need to make sure the teams that are planning to tour should be confident about the ground security and if they are confident they will tour them.

There record in uae is historic, they have beaten Aus , Eng , NZ there. If I m not wrong they have won 8 consecutive T20 series at uae. Don't know why you saying they are done losing abroad. If you follow cricket, Pakistan is always know to be unpredictable and they have still a decent side for T20 WC.
To the second part, they already have conducted so many series with Sri, RSA, ZIM,WI at home. Still big 3 think it's not safe to tour Pak.

I read somewhere that NZ might consider playing in Pakistan in 2022. I am not sure whether it will happen or not but to convince the world to come and play in their home ground PCB needs to put more effort. 50 per cent of their revenue comes from ICC and everyone knows ICC makes money from bigger boards. They need to start performing in the ICC tournament and then these boards might consider playing with them in Pakistan. Let's see how they perform in the upcoming WT20 cup.
If New Zealand is willing to tour Pakistan then it is great for the local fans as they wanted to see competitive cricket and with the support of local fans they will perform better than in the UAE.
