One of the reason teams never force follow on to opposition team nowadays. It could backfire anytime, as much as i admire brave effort of Afghan team but they got bit lucky here. 50-80 more runs and zim could have been walked out with the draw and winning the series (only 15ish overs were left to the stumps). It was good game overall and Zimbabwe can also take few positive from this game.
Zimbabwe played well in the second innings and i was expecting Rashid Khan to rip them away in the second innings as they are playing in the UAE and the pitch to help the spinners but Sean Williams and Donald Tiripano delayed things as best as they can but the win was inevitable even if they scored 50 runs more, we could have seen a T20 kind of striking from the Afghan players
.
If Zimbabwe had managed to score another 30-35 runs, then it would have got really interesting. Because the Afghan batsmen really struggled during the last innings. A few more runs by the Zimbabwean tail enders could have made the difference. Anyway, all credit to Afghanistan for registering another test win.
May be but i do not think 35 runs could have made any difference, i did not watch the match no the highlights, i was just following the scoreboard as i placed a bet on Afghanistan to win when i saw Rashid Khan is back in the team .
