Doomed to see the future and unable to prevent it
I also have never known NFL games to be free on the NFL App.

I found they usually had at least a couple free games a week, usually two on Sunday and sometimes Thursday.

Amazon Prime is going to have Thursday games this year.

But apparently Game Pass is only letting you watch the games after they are over from now on?

Hmm...
It should work on wifi, I didn't know you could watch all the nfl games on the nfl app. I thought it was only highlights and replays.

Not all games I think, just the "local" ones on Sunday but I found that using a simple location spoofing app I can pick pretty much any game.

And yeah the live games would stop playing if the phone connects to WiFi.

So this new "plus" thing might be an improvement but I'm guessing the freebie will be no longer available. If it does work over WiFi, it might be worth it so that I don't need to have an unlimited plan, but it would have to be less than $10 per month.

Guess I'll stick with pirating all the games. Cheesy

And there it is Jimmy is on the block, San Fran fully going with trey Lance this year.  Trying to think best landing spots for Jimmy.  Honestly the Seahawks could use Jimmy for a year and what better way to stick it to your rival than to go to Seattle.  Problem is I don't think San Fran will sign off on that.  What teams ya'll think would be Jimmy's best landing spot?

Yeah this really just seemed inevitable. Seattle is definitely imo the best place he could end up and the team who needs his services the most, but as you point out the Niners are not going to be keen to sending their division rival someone who could help them compete against them.  Had Washington not gotten Wentz that would have been a good landing spot. The Falcons definitely need a QB. Would you want him in NY?

Nope.  If Danny dimes doesn't do anything this year giants will probably be in the toilet bowl again and next years qb class has got a couple ringers.  I'd rather they draft then go for Alex Smith 2.0

That’s a good point I don’t know what I was thinking even suggesting or questioning it. He offers very little upside long term and is likely to only get you maybe a win or two more than current QB , plus I guess you gotta give Danny d one more go at it just to be sure (but let’s be honest he’s a backup somewhere sooner than later).

I also have never known NFL games to be free on the NFL App.

You’ll have access to local and nationally televised games on Sundays…but only on unspecified "mobile devices" through the NFL app.

Isn't that what the NFL app was already doing? For free. Now they're gonna want money for it, great Roll Eyes

BTW "mobile device" with the current app means you have to use a mobile network (can't watch via WiFi).

What is the team that traded for massage Watson? The Cleveland Browns? According to the last article I read, he might not be allowed to play while the lawsuit is taking place. All of those girls were also very terrorized by the bbc hehehehe. If this is a problem for the Browns, might it be good for the team to offer Jimmy G the opportunity to play 1 year?

It's been obvious since February!  Leave it to the 9ers PR team to pick the slowest football-news day of the year to remind us of what we've known for months, lol.  As if they haven't been seeking a trade since before he opted for surgery.  Everybody knows that Shanahan is ready to move on.  And lets not forget that Kyle runs the joint.

I want to be clear; I love that Shanahan is our coach because he's a great strategist and he's very smart in football terms and in general.  But the best thing he's been able to do is get Jed York to STFU!  Finally we have a coach that the owner trusts to run things, because the owner is a dumbass.

However, for all the criticism I've laid at the feet of Garoppolo, I lay twice as much at Kyle's.  He's the one that choked in the fourth quarter of that fucking SB loss, even though the film makes it looked like Jimmy G did.  Look past what Garoppolo did, and look at the plays that were called.  The one criticism I have for Shanahan is that when the game is on the line; grow a pair.

Or make sure to "borrow" them from your wife's purse on Super Bowl Sunday.  I've been married, I know how shit works.

Jimmy G just isn’t that good. He’s a solid game manager, but there’s a reason they drafted Lance as high as they did. Yea he got them to the super bowl but it was much more so because of the team around him and not because of him. His upside is just very limited. Alex Smith is a former QB who’s a good comparable comp. The Chiefs moved on from him too because of Mahomes (look how that turned out).

I read some comments from Steve Young today where he thinks the 9ers are definitely ready to move on.  He doesn't see things transpiring like they did when he and Montana were the two QBs vying for playing time.

& no, Zach Wilson is absolutely NOT a good bet for MVP. If whomever said that was being serious, wow lol. (Likely they were not).

I'm sure that was a joke based on his prowess with older women, (or one specific older woman.)

This aged well

Lol!  One man's cougar is another man's "robbing the cradle."  Getting old sux.  Grin

“Getting old sucks” you’re telling me man. What I would do to go back to my college days.  & yeah I’m pretty confident the Niners are ready to deploy their new toy in Lance and move away from the journeyman.

@ChiBitCTy. I cannot find the video anymore, however, I had the impression that the handicapper who said it was very serious. He mentioned it was because the odds on Zach Wilson was 150 and it would be 3.00 by the middle of this season. He also mentioned that it was because the Jets have good additions for their offensive line to support their quarterback. I have not looked at the Jets' trades to confirm if this is true but it appears those rumors of Zach sleeping with his mother's friend is true hehehehhe.

If the guy really thinks the Jets are going to be good and that Wilson has a legit shot at MVP he needs to pick a new career if he makes football predictions for a living lol. My guess is he likely just thinks for a major outside shot that could be a decent $1 bet to make you $10,000 (or something like that for example) then he’s a good grand slam risk for very little that could really pay off. He wasn’t particularly good last year , so not sure where his confidence is coming from nor has the offensive team gotten significantly better.

I know everyone in this thread hates the Cowboys, however, what is everyone's analysis and opinion on Dak Prescott?

Probably a better Bet than Lance but just. Wink

But just? I speculate Trey Lance might not be ready to be their first quarterback again for this season hehehe. This might also be why San Francisco does not want to trade Jimmy Garoppolo. I might be wrong, however, for those rookie quarterbacks of last year, it might be Mac Jones who might have a successful season this year.

San Francisco absolutely wants to trade Jimmy Garoppolo, they just haven't gotten any good enough offers yet.  It's the same thing as Baker Mayfield and the Browns.  They had to wait a while to trade him because teams simply weren't willing to give up much as well as it takes time after the draft for teams to get everything in order.  Not to mention the longer teams wait to go get a QB, the lesser that QB will cost. Both Jimmy and Baker aren't that great, and so teams knew other teams wouldn't rush to go get either and that they have time to negotiate the selling team down.  Jimmy may start, he may not.  A lot of "experts" predict that Lance will be their day 1 starter.  The other thing is he may become more valuable as the season goes on.  If a good and likely playoff bound team has a QB go down, then Jimmy G becomes pretty valuable as a solid game manager that could potentially get them to the SB as he won't help them win it as much as he won't likely help them lose it.

I agree with this, the 9ers are ready to move on from Garoppolo, and more importantly, so are the fans.  The trouble is it's just like ChiBitCTy said; Garoppolo isn't a great quarterback, but he's far from a bad one either.  He wins games, look no further than his record as a starter with 49ers for proof.  It's the must-win games and moments when he seems to have trouble.  I won't blame all that on Garoppolo, it's largely the coach's responsibility to get his players in the right mind set.  It's been obvious to Garoppolo and the fans that Shanahan doesn't trust him, and that's Garoppolo's biggest problem.

Look at the plays that Shanahan called during the fourth quarter of their Super Bowl loss, Shanahan wasn't playing Garoppolo to win, he was playing not-to-lose.

Okay I was wrong in speculating that Jimmy G remains to be wanted by his team hehe. However, in your honest opinion, should Kyle Shanahan trade Garoppolo and put all his trust on Trey Lance as first quarterback for this new season?

In any case, I saw someone mention in social media that Zach Wilson is a good bet for the regular season's MVP. I do not know if this is a joke because of those sleeping with mom's friend news or if the Jet's offensive line really has improved with new trades.

Yes.  I'm not sure that Lance will be the second coming of Montana and spark a new 49er dynasty, but if that's going to happen it has to start with Shanahan putting ALL his trust in Lance.  There's no other way to get there from here.

Zack Wilson was my favorite quarterback from the 2020 draft class, and he has the hottest mom.  I'm sure she could convince me to vote for him.  Are her friends cute too?

His mom is cute but I want to see his Moms best friend now after hearing about that stuff. & wow his xgf is smoking hot, not sure that was a good move. (Not that he can’t find a new hottie).

I don't know when you started doing the mocks, but I've always found that if you do them like a week or two out from the start of the regular season they tend to be a little bit better since people are gearing up for their drafts and taking them a little more seriously.

I started early August I think. Yeah towards the end of the month it seemed a bit more serious, but I don't have much spare time so it was like 15 minutes here and there a few of times a week and I wanted to start early because I knew I wouldn't be able find time later.

Come to think of it, I bailed on a couple of mock drafts when I was trying to do them sitting in a dentist's waiting room or some crap like that so I probably shouldn't complain about others Smiley

Haha oh trust me I’ve also bailed on plenty of mock drafts, been doing them for the past 13 years of playing. But mostly I only bail by mistake, like something came up unexpected or if there’s already a bunch of people who’ve bailed, then I normally will leave.
