I need you to sober up and put the worst lineup you can next week, pick McCaffrey and Darnold off the waiver.  Tongue

I'm gonna play Derrick Henry next week! Grin

edit; could the reason for AB flipping mid game be something more practical...money and more specifically contract incentives:

Amusingly enough I told my company that I thought he lost his mind because Evans was getting all the looks and half time meeting probably didn't go his way where he more than likely Prima dona hissy fitted.

Sup guys, been dozing all day still hungover from new years eve at casino.

I need you to sober up and put the worst lineup you can next week, pick McCaffrey and Darnold off the waiver.  Tongue  The Sacko Bowl between South Park and bbc.reporter seems to be the only close game in our league, sorta disappointing.

Anyways, i'm messing around with the NFL Playoff Machine, and we could get some really juicy wild-card matchups to kick off the playoffs. If nothing out of the ordinary happens in Week 18, (AFC) Patriots at Buffalo and (NFC) Cardinals at Dallas. Titans and Green Bay are almost certain to earn first-round byes, especially significant for TEN with Derrick Henry on the verge of returning, i've read he's been training in full with no setbacks. Also, next week's game between the Chargers and the Raiders will be a direct match for an AFC wildcard spot.

I feel bad for the Ravens after yet another one-point loss in the final minute of the game. They're pretty much done, need a miracle. If we exclude their last week's game at Cincy, they have lost four games by a total of five points.  Shocked those two-point conversions...

Looks like Chase put up some majic numbers for DireWolf, Nutlah's got some work to do next week!

Burrows has been a beast of late.

Fucking AB is just a friggin Moron, he could have been the toast of the town at the end of the game but self destructed again.

For his own sake he should retire
Yeah I think that's exactly what he did there.

I think you're right.  That seemed like a blatant "I'm getting too old for this shit" type attitude he displayed.

Luckily for Bucs everyone is talking about AB and not about how they almost lost to Jets.

Lol, almost.  Did you see Brady on that final drive?  He had no intention of losing that game, and seemed pretty damn confident he wasn't going to.  That was just funny to watch.  Poor Jets, that was a good effort, and I wanted Robert Salah to get that win.

Joe Burrow outright winning chips for people with 971 passing yards vs Ravens/Chiefs. Last week it was Higgins, now Ja'Marr Chase...i mean just look at that stat line: 11/266/3  Shocked

Around the league, Temptations has a solid lead heading into the second leg, but given the players Maddogs have and some of the Week 18 matchups, it's not over yet...

Thoughts on what Antonio Brown did?...that was crazy even for him.

Honestly I think there are some serious issues with Antonio Brown.  For his own sake he should retire and look to get the help he needs.  No one who is in their right mind does that mid game.  Fortunately I don't think anyone will be signing him after that and all his other antics.  Hopefully he isn't the next one that ends up doing something stupid to himself or even worse to others.

Week 17 is finally upon us and what am I doing? Starting Trey Lance of course Roll Eyes, I am taking a huge risk here as there is no guarantee he will perform well with just one career start under his belt, but the Mars Elon Muks have such an advantage over me on the QB position with Brady playing against the Jets that I have no choice, Brady has the potential to score 40 points on that poor Jets defense and I need to reduce the margin a little bit, otherwise this match will be over before it even starts.
You'll be fine, Brady is throwing INTs almost as well as Stafford.

They're both trying to keep up with Josh Allen.  Undecided

Update on my previously posted gibberish:

I hate high spreads *normally* but in this one I can't see belicheck winning by less than 20.  He is gonna turn the screws on jax.

Yeah, but you can only turn screws so much without the right screw-driver.

@wheelz1200. It might be more risky to bet on the Patriots to beat the spread of -16.5? If everyone in here predicts that they might beat it then would it not be safer for Mac Jones passing yards to be over 221.5 yards? I think he might have 230 yards for this game at least.

I know you're asking wheelz, but I have opinions too, and I have to let them out.  Cheesy

On paper, the Pats are definitely the better team, and it's not a question of whether they'll win, but rather by how much.  Like Hueristic said, the spreads on this game look like a trap.  As for Mac Jones throwing for over 222 yards, that would be a pretty respectable outing for a veteran in a normal game, but even against the Jags that seems a bit ambitious for Mac Jones.  Not that he can't do it, but what suggests that he'll need to throw for that many yards today?  The Pats could cover the spread with only their running game.

Yep I think you nailed that one.  I can see the Pats absolutely walking over the jags on this one.  I'm taking the Pats-16.5 all day in this game.  The Pats defense alone might score that much lol.

I'm always worried that in these one-sided games towards the end of the season once they get to 40-3 they will let their defense catch a breath and allow Jaguars score a few touchdowns, screwing everyone's bets (and FF matches).

Not sure if that's supported by any sort of factual evidence though.

Yeah it's like in basketball when spreads are super high in college like 30 point favorites and they are killing them by 40, that team tends to put in the back of the bench and let's the other team eventually cover.  I hate high spreads *normally* but in this one I can't see belicheck winning by less than 20.  He is gonna turn the screws on jax.

@ChiBitCTy. Does the Cardinals’ have a good coach to push the team during the playoffs? Their standing in the regular season and the bad performances in their last 5 games might not be given much criticism if they reach the NFC championship.

Yeah Bills are doing well but I'm watching Texans beating Chargers, the most overrated NFL team.
In my opinion the Patriots are the most overrated team in the NFL.

The Cardinals are getting my vote, for many of the same reasons you gave for your vote.  I still think the Cards have a pretty solid defense, but not championship-without-an-offense level good.  The Patriots defense, on the other hand, might actually be that good.

Yeah I am with you on this one.  The Cardinals aren't a bad team of course, but they are not the best team in the NFL like many thought just a couple short weeks ago.  I actually made a bet with someone whom we all know ( I won't mention any names lol ).  The bet was that the Cardinals wouldn't lose a game all season, I bet against that.  I think it was the next week that they ended up losing.  My odds weren't very good so I didn't win much but still  Grin

As for the Jags game..these guys are horrid..they will probably lose by 20 or more IMO.

Hmmm, Pats/Jags smells like a trap game.

Agreed. The spread appear to be too large hehe. The Patriots have never been given more than -7.5 points by the sportsbooks this season. I reckon the player props for Mac Jones’ passing yards to be over the given number might be safer. I speculate it to be 220-230 yards.

The Vegas odds makers seem to be snorting the Belichick koolaid in powdered form:

I mean, who on earth thinks the Patriots are going to score 19 points, let alone out-score anyone by 19 points?  I predict they'll win this game, but they might do it by scoring nothing more than a safety.

Jaguars are well short-handed for this game, with 27 players on the covid/reserve list as of today.: Jaguars Have 27 Players On COVID List Ahead Of Game Vs. Patriots.

James Robinson tore his achilles last week, they've no coach, Lawrence has like one passing touchdown in their last eight games, and the Pats/Belichick are coming angry off two straight losses, so yeah,  -16.5 seems like a gift. 30-7 Patriots and you got NE D/ST. Grin
