Both top seeds knocked out by last second field goals.

Happy retirement, Mr. Rodgers. Thanks for fucking up my bet.

I imagine DireWolfM14 is consuming copious amounts of fancy alcohol right now.

These divisional games have been unpredictable. The Bengals, 49’ers and the Rams, 3 underdogs won by only 3 points to get their slot in conference final hehehe. The Chiefs and the Bills might also be a very close game.

Shaking my head, I will stop betting until the superbowl. I have not won anything in the playoff hehehe.

In any case, very happy for the 49ers fans in this thread. That victory versus the top seed must be the sweetest win even if it was not a very beautiful performance.

However there are rumors Brady has not confirmed to the Bucs he will return next year, so if Brady were to retire then a decent spot will be open on the NFC, which seems like the easier road to the SB at the moment.

Might well happen after today... Brady getting rammed real good.

Edit: yet another last-second FG Grin

I am terrible at Fantasy Football!!!
I was definitely bullish on titans s at -3.5 but the bengles look like they came out to play tonight.  If titans lose tannehill instantly is on the hot seat.  They are a win now team with that squad and tannehill might be hiding them back.  Maybe they try to go in and get russ next year?
The Titans and the Browns I think are in a win now situation, but the AFC is packed with talent at the QB position so it will be difficult to win a SB for Wilson or Rodgers if they decide to move away from their teams.

And about the games last night, it finally felt like I was watching a playoff game, last week the results were too lopsided so it was kind of a boring weekend, but these two games were worth to watch. Burrow seems like the real deal so the Browns, Steelers and Ravens have a lot to worry about, Jackson is good but he takes too much punishment so I do not think he will be able to maintain that level of play for long, and Garoppolo needs to do a better job, Lance is most likely going to get his job next year so he should be playing for his next contract and instead he is making mistakes at critical moments.

Think Aaron goes to Tennessee next year for last year or 2 of his career.  Makes sense, they are a team built to win a superbowl right now and fresh off 3 interception game and essentially losing the game for them.  Rodgers had a crazy good year mvp like so he isn't ready to hang it up just probably in green Bay he is.

You know me so well.

That was a crazy game though.  I don't know if there's ever been a blocked punt and a blocked field goal by the same team in the playoffs.  I've certainly never seen anything like it.  Our defense and special teams are fucking amazing!  GO NINERS!

ETA; I didn't want to admit it before, but I put money on hope. 😍

Took the Niners ML @ 2.9 AND WON!

Tannehill was on the sidelines putting lip balm before the kickoff, i knew this was a bad sign, i knew it. Pick on the first throw, pick on the first throw in the second half, and one to gift the game to Cincy.

What if the Titans just kicked the damn extra point on D. Henry's TD, what was the need to go for two...7-6 not good enough? Analytics fail, again.

Mattress Mack curse is broken, glad to be on the other side of it.  Cheesy

Definately burned them.  Have a chance to go up in the game and chose to "gamble" in the playoffs.  Then tannehill...shame but with this single game I think they will be on the hunt for a new qb situation.  Showed he might be a good middle of the road guy but someone who will HD back a good team too.  Just glad I'm not a titans fan because defensively they couldn't do anything else to help win the game.

So, the one underdog team you're not picking is the 9ers.  I see how you are.  We've never lost a playoff game to the Packers in the Aaron Rodgers era, but I'm afraid you're not wrong this time.  I hope we both are.

LOL, nothing personal but it's 12 degrees and a nasty windchill in Green Bay.

Yeah 3 interceptions with that last one basically handing the game to Bengals won't look pretty on his resume.

Hey guys, who ended up winning your fantasy football league?  Looking forward to next year already!

DireWolfM14.

I'm going with Bengals, Packers, Rams, Bills, yeah Brady is probably going to screw up this bet but that's fine, no risk - no reward.

I was actually surprised to see the Bengals as the underdog, so I stayed away from that one.  I should have jumped on it, because it looks like they're going to win.  Both defenses are playing great, but Cincinnati's offense looks like they're going to get it done.

Our patron Mattress Mack has the Bengals +3.5 today, so we do the opposite and take Tennessee instead.  Grin

The worst part is that i actually think Cincy has a shot, as Burrow and Chase have been on a roll...then again i gave the Eagles a chance last week, which didn't turn out well.

The Mattress Mack curse is real. Earlier this month, he lost $4.7 million in six days betting on football.

The Houston furniture store owner lost $2.7 million in money-line wagers on Alabama when the Crimson Tide lost 33-18 to Georgia in the College Football Playoff national title game. He then lost $2 million in futures bets on the Patriots to win the Super Bowl when New England got destroyed 47-17 by the Buffalo Bills in their AFC wild-card playoff game.

Back in December, he told The Action Network he lost “more than $13 million” in bets after the Washington Nationals defeated the Houston Astros, 6-2, in Game 7 of the World Series. Basically, if Mack picks your team, your team is in big trouble.

Mattress Mack has put $1.1 million on the Bengals (+3.5) in their matchup against the Tennessee Titans.

Hey guys, who ended up winning your fantasy football league?  Looking forward to next year already!

What a great set of games this weekend, I can't wait!  Curious to hear you guys' predictions.. ( last week I had all but one winner correct but my spread cover wasn't the greatest..hoping for a better weekend).

Here's the games and my predictions..

Bengals vs Titans (-3.5)- This is a really difficult game to try and predict.  My guess is that the Titans win and cover.

49rs vs Packers (-5.5)- I think the Niners are overrated and that the Packers will win and cover easily.

Rams vs Bucs (-2.5)- What a great game this should be and hard to predict.  The loss of Godwin and Antonio Brown I think will show up at this game and lead to a Rams victory (betting against Brady is dumb, but I'm doing it lol).  I say the Rams cover.

Chiefs (-1.5) vs Bills- This is the matchup of the weekend in my opinion.  I like the Chiefs here and predict they cover.

You might be correct on the 49ers. However, they are overrated only by the sportsbooks. We the fans know they had a very challenging regular season. We also witnessed their last regular season game. It has won many hearts including mine hehe.

In any case, I am shaking my head. I am not certain why the Packers spread is only -5.5 because I think that they can win easily by 1 touchdown.

Honestly I do not blame you for that bet, if there is a team the Bucs did not wanted to face was the Rams, in my opinion they are the worst possible math-up for them with their aggressive defense while the offensive line of the Bucs has several players injured, Brady is an expert at getting rid of the ball as fast as possible, but can he do it without Godwin and AB? That is the question.

Niners had players on the sidelines, the QB draw, which Dallas chose to run, and a 50-yard Hail Mary were their only two options with 14 seconds left. I don't dislike the play. Obviously, it could have been executed much better. Dak should not have attempted to spike the ball but immediately given it to the ref, slide 5 yards earlier etc. Cowboys deserved to lose, but the Niners' fourth-quarter gaffes...my goodness, offside on a QB sneak??? I need to rewatch the 4th quarter again, so many bad plays/coaching decisions.

Props to the ref who Cowboy fans are blaming, dude ran 30 yards in 4.2 seconds lol joking....but really, he did his best.
I am not against a play like that either, during the previous plays the 49ers did not protected the sideline and that is why the Cowboys could move the ball down the field so fast, so I agree the Cowboys did not had too much of a choice there with the formation the 49ers defense was showing, however my problem with it is the lack of common sense, the Cowboys had like 14 penalties on the game, it was a mistake to think the offense could execute that play to perfection with the game and the season on the line, so at least to me it was a better option to call two Hail Mary passes under those circumstances.

Where are the Cardinals memes? The only undefeated team at one point in the season. The one that was certainly not going to repeat the collapse of the last season.

But the problem is the Cardinals are an up and coming team with a young quarterback who are just starting to get going. Also they had Hopkins out and he's not only their best offensive weapon, he's one of the best wide receivers in the league, top 5 arguably top 3.  I wish I had the stat they showed last night about how many teams and quarterbacks with a playoff win versus the cowboys in the past 10 years or so.  They just continue to disappoint.  I guess it's better than not making the playoffs ( like my Bears ), but I would be frustrated with all that talent and a QB with one of the richest in the league contract wise, and continue to do nothing when it really counts.

I will admit I had a Cowboys Emmitt Smith jersey when I was a kid  Cheesy

I don't dislike the play.

Me neither, because it had this surprise element. I would have added a little additional trick play though and that is the one they tried in Q1 (?) already, where the WR lateralled (sp ?) the ball to the sidelines to another WR (didn't work out though). There was enough time to plan it because the clock was stopped and SF took a timeout on top.

Source: NFL Gamepass

As you can see, Pollard was open there and the clock would've stopped at maybe 7sec. The ball would be around the 30 yard line instead of 24/25,  7sec would probably give you two shots at the end zone rather than only one.
-

I wonder, if Kellen Moore will really get a HC job for next season, I would be very cautious tbh. More often than not, the Cowboys offense has been piss poor and scoring 40 or 50+ on mediocre teams/defenses isn't that hard to do with this personnel. What matters is to do it against the very good teams and Moore wasn't able to constantly do that with his offense despite all the talent.

Where are the Cardinals memes? The only undefeated team at one point in the season. The one that was certainly not going to repeat the collapse of the last season.

They peaked too early Tongue After they cooled down and due to injuries to key players (Hopkins, JJ, Murray) you could see that they would go nowhere in the PO. Starting 7-0, they went 4-6 the rest of the season (losing 4 of their last 5) and that reflects perfectly the strength of the team going into the playoffs -> just an above average team.
The win at Dallas could have been the turning point again, but it probably was just a good day; or a bad day by Dallas Grin The loss in week 8 against GB at home - which really they should have won - did a lot to this team.
