I don't dislike the play.
Me neither, because it had this surprise element. I would have added a little additional trick play though and that is the one they tried in Q1 (?) already, where the WR lateralled (sp ?) the ball to the sidelines to another WR (didn't work out though). There was enough time to plan it because the clock was stopped and SF took a timeout on top.
Source: NFL GamepassAs you can see, Pollard was open there and the clock would've stopped at maybe 7sec. The ball would be around the 30 yard line instead of 24/25, 7sec would probably give you two shots at the end zone rather than only one.

I wonder, if Kellen Moore will really get a HC job for next season, I would be very cautious tbh. More often than not, the Cowboys offense has been piss poor and scoring 40 or 50+ on mediocre teams/defenses isn't that hard to do with this personnel. What matters is to do it against the very good teams and Moore wasn't able to constantly do that with his offense despite all the talent.
Where are the Cardinals memes? The only undefeated team at one point in the season. The one that was certainly not going to repeat the collapse of the last season.
They peaked too early
After they cooled down and due to injuries to key players (Hopkins, JJ, Murray) you could see that they would go nowhere in the PO. Starting 7-0, they went 4-6 the rest of the season (losing 4 of their last 5) and that reflects perfectly the strength of the team going into the playoffs -> just an above average team.
The win at Dallas could have been the turning point again, but it probably was just a good day; or a bad day by Dallas
The loss in week 8 against GB at home - which really they should have won - did a lot to this team.
