AJ Green hahahaha. I might drop him and the injured tight end Robert Tonyan. I added Green only this week for my bench. Similar to the cryptospace market, this might be the beginning of the dump for the Arizona Cardinals against the spread.

@DirewolfM14. It was a very good game for Aaron Jones.

I'm kind of surprised that anyone would be using AJ Green inside of an 8 man league to be honest.  I wish I was a part of your guys league so I could see everyones team, all the moves everyone has been making etc.

Yeah Aaron Jones has himself a very solid game.  That final TD they took away burned though! I don't know how they found that as conclusive evidence that he did NOT make it in.  None of the camera angles the game had seemed to show with out a shadow of doubt that he DIDNT get in.  Oh well, can't be too upset I suppose.

You would certainly laugh at my record on the waiver wire if you were part of the league. I claim a player then I have him the next day only to drop him again for another player hehehehe. I think I have been making 2 or 3 claims a week since the beginning of the season hehehehe.

Looks like I caught an early break in what is assuredly a must-win game against wheelz.

Wow, I just went to look after reading this.  That's a big blow, sorry wheelz, congrats nutildah.

What a mixture of conflicting emotions... Mainly I was pissed because I threw money at Arizona in-game to cover -3.5. WHICH THEY ALMOST FUCKING DID. Came down to the last play, my what a bungle. I had absolute confidence they would drive it to the red zone in 3-4 plays, and they did, and then the receiver just turned his head a second too late on the last pass. Fuck.

I had the Pac to cover +3.5, but it was part of a list of props including Rodgers to throw for over 220 yards, so I lost too.  But it was a moral victory.   Cheesy

This is the kind of game which can shape a season, if the Cardinals had won the game by making that comeback with a 99 yard TD scoring drive it would have made a huge difference, that is the kind of win that will have everyone in the building working harder because they will know they will have a chance to make it far on the playoffs, but the fact they lost by what it seems to be a miscommunication is a huge problem, now Hopkins has aggravated his injury, AJ Green will second guess himself, Watt is out and Murray despite claiming to be OK was seen using a walking boot, if he was a statue on the pocket like Brady it would not worry me but he depends on his legs to make plays, so they could be in trouble.

Yeah, it could have easily gone either way, that's what made it a fun game to watch.  If the Cardinals would have scored, they would have given Arron Rodgers at least 11 seconds.  That's plenty of time for an 80 yard hail mary touchdown pass to Aaron Jones.  Grin

Lol.  I never doubted the Packers, I knew they would win it.  The Cardinals are a good team; young and tough, lots of talent.  But this kind of thing happens almost every year; a young team goes on a hot streak that ends in a prime-time slot against a beat-up team of veterans.  Everybody was on the Cardinals' bandwagon, making such a big deal out of their 7-0 start, then pressure starts to mount.  I still think they'll make it to the playoffs, but I wouldn't count on them reaching the super bowl.

Something cool I stumbled upon while researching how much I screwed myself by leaving Cardinals RBs on the bench:

https://www.statmuse.com/nfl/questions

Basically you can enter a sports stats question and it answers quite well as far as I tried. For example:

When I saw Murray on the ground after it was all over, I thought, "shit, now Murray's hurt too." Turns out he was just sad.

@ChiBitCTy in your opinion as a neutral observer, is there any reason to start Herbert over Mahomes on Sunday? I've kind of wondered about the future of Mahomes, seems that game could be one of those bizarre upsets no one saw coming, given the direction the Chiefs are heading.

It would have been better if they didn't overturn that touchdown at the goal line.  That surprised me, it looked like the ball crossed the plane before his ass hit the ground.  If nothing else it seemed like it was too close to reverse.  Maybe the officials have multiple, synchronized views that made it clear and obvious that he went down first.  That's the only thing I can think of that would have given them the evidence to overturn it.  Regardless, 17 FF points is no joke and obviously I need all the help I can get.

This is a big match for the two of us.  Being a divisional match it has significant playoff implications.  I currently have the tie-breaker since I won our first match.  I'm scared.

So Packers covered after all, and then some.

Who needs top 3 receivers if you can throw to the 4th one. Or just run the ball all day long.

Are the Cardinals really that much better than Packers as the bookmakers seem to imply? (-6.5 or so)

I'm tempted to bet on Packers.

Yeah they are better but I don't think they are THAT MUCH better, imo anyhow.

This is the biggest game of the year thus far in my eyes... An undefeated team vs. a 6-1 team, both teams are 6-1 against the spread (yet somehow GB still remains negative points ATS overall due to their incredibly bad first game).

On one hand, I think Arizona is designing plays to exploit GB's injuries, but on the other hand Rodgers has been playing with a grudge recently -- his searing focus and dominance of experience might be enough to navigate their way to a W.

In my other league, which is a 12-team, I was fortunate enough to land Murray, Hopkins and Edmonds, so I gotta root for Arizona to win. At the same time I'm not sure they will do it by six points, especially if Rogers shows up with his determined face.

Can't bet on this game... too many conflicts of interest.

Tempted to flex Randall Cobb (in the other league) with all those missing wide receivers for Green Bay. Probably not gonna take the risk but good luck to whoever has to play against Aaron Jones, 150 total yards and at least a touchdown incoming. Interesting fact, Rodgers is 6-0 when Adams isn't playing (last two years), and A.Jones stats in those games:  👀

Aaron Jones receiving stats in six games without Davante Adams (2019 - 2020):

34 targets (18%)
29 receptions
337 yards
4 touchdowns

On the other side of things word is JJ Watt for the Cardinals may now be out for the entire year.  So it sucks that we won't get to see either one of these star players in this game.
This is really bad, the guy is great but he cannot remain healthy, a quick research shows Watt has suffered season ending injuries in 2016, 2017, 2019  and 2021, so despite his abilities I wonder about the future of Watt on the league as he has spent most of his time during the last 6 years being out of the field with injuries.

Yes they are but even worse the top TWO Packers WR just went on covid list on a short week.

It would not be shocking if more players in the team were rested to have have the coronavirus by the day of the game. It spreads very quickly.

I was going to roll with the packers D but changed my mind because of this, who knows who will get scratched and the D will be out on the field alot longer now.

Anyone watch the game last night? I’m surprised this hasn’t been brought up yet. Brady was a guest on the Peyton & Eli Show and they asked him about his 600th TD ball that Mike Evans gave to someone in the stands by mistake. First Peyton quipped “Are you turning the ball in to an NFT” and then after they were talking about how the guy who gave the ball back getting a raw deal (some estimate it’s worth 500k), Tom then said they are giving him 1 Bitcoin, so it’s not all that bad of a deal. Pretty awesome!!

https://youtu.be/BjXo7vJ4_sE
2:08- NFT quip
2:46- bitcoin

The 1 bitcoin given might be worth than the ball on 2027 and Brady might offer the ball in exchange for 1 bitcoin hehehe.

In any case, what is everyone’s evaluation on Dak Prescott’s injured calf? Will he play? The Cowboys are only -2.5 versus Minnesota Vikings. Cowboys can win this -7 against the spread with Dak Prescott, I reckon. Is everyone expecting Dak Prescott to be out of this game?

I think dak will be a go but just follow the practice report.  Even if he plays I would be weary betting on Dallas.  His mobility and throwing on the move make a huge difference.  Injuries to major stars always makes me shy away from betting on either team.

You might be correct. The spread moved from -3 to presently -2. However, the Cowboys have won against the spread 5-1 for this season. They can certainly win by 1 touchdown with 70% healthy Dak Prescott versus the Vikings hehe.

Ah damn I didn't know about Lazard. And looks like MVS is still on IR. Ok then, no betting this Thursday.

I had to quickly remove him from my waiver list, that would have sucked !

I selected McCaffrey in one of my other leagues, and I’m certainly regretting it to an extent. It’s a keeper league so some of the top backs like Henry were already off the board but still, this guy can’t stay on the field. His upside was just so hard to shy away from though.

I hate Imgur, try these guys https://imgbb.com/

Yeah, I was really bumming when Nutildah grabbed Henry instead of CMC, I almost went for Cook but the upside of CMC was also impossible for me to get away from. Smiley

The really funny thing is I thought I completely lucked out getting the second pick as I was certain I'd get Henry! LOL shows what I know! Cheesy
