Congratulations to both of our finalists! I will not pretend that I am not disappointed. I thought the finals was already a certainty for me.

You did well, this is just your second year playing FF and you put together a very good team, during the regular season a consistent output for your starters is key and it showed on your record, but when it comes to the playoffs a single bad game by a few of your players can be enough to get you eliminated.snip

And about the next season, I will admit that I would use a break, after the Q/Cows lost against the Barbarians on week 7 the Q/Cows went 2-5, at that time I guessed the bare minimum to make it to the playoffs was a 9-6 or an 8-7 record, so the Q/Cows were left with a very small margin of error, and since then I have been playing each match as if the Q/Cows were at the playoffs already.
And just to show you that luck does indeed play a factor, today I checked my team and saw Ekeler, Conner and Sanders all being questionable, and while it seems they will be able to play this shows how quickly things can change for a team, and while last year the injuries were a nightmare to the point 2 IR spots was my most desired feature on this league, this year I have been lucky when it comes to injuries.
Now if those players fail to recover I would have no other choice but to use my secret weapon:

Teams with the two best records, Jerkers and Coiners, play for the most consolation.

Yep congrats to the 2 finals spots it's been a fun season! My season didn't start out how I wanted but that's fantasy football. On paper your squad looks good and then the season starts and starts to crumble in on you lol. Good luck to the 2 of you amd may the best te win!

My prediction is that the final top 4 order will be the reverse of regular season standings.

IIRC that's how I ended last year too, had a good run but unable to win games in the post season.

The truth is getting a good score on Yahoo most often means you had a bad draft. They only run these scores using a single criteria and that's simply if you chose the next highest ranking player via their rankings. Anytime I get a good score (have never gotten an A) I normally don't have a great team. My best teams are when I get a bad grade.
Was a rough season for me, and the sad thing my team is pretty damn good. My running backs killed me. Not having the ability to draft a high end RB is such a major disadvantage.

While I am glad to make it to the final, suchmoon simply got unlucky during our match since their players simply failed to perform at the worst possible time.
And about the game against the Barbarians it seems it is going to be a close game, however I will give Barbarians an edge as the Q/Cows players are facing a more difficult weather and schedule, however the Q/Cows have some hope as it seems Fields is playing against one of the weakest defenses against QBs this season, so if Fields could give another monster performance then beating the Barbarians could become possible.

@hueristc- I’ve seen every type of football league, Canadian (which is the most legitimate of them all, or at least used to be) followed by XFL type leagues then arena. I said I haven’t seen this XFL league, nor has anyone else (correct me if I’m wrong but it’s been shut down for a few years ). There’s been quite a few of these XFL/whatever else they’ve been called leagues.. They start up, fail pretty quickly, try it again with some changes, repeat. I’ve never been interested in any of them, hence why i can’t see myself enjoying this new one coming either. i try to get in to college here and there but same deal. Just an NFL obsessed fan.
These other leagues may be filled w/a bunch of guys working their assess off but the talent level is bad. The likelihood any of them see the NFL ever (or again) is extremely low. Just not for me.
It would be difficult for me to play a XFL fantasy team mainly because I would be unfamiliar with many of the players.
As for the quality of the league, it will come down to the individual athlete's abilities and in the past I haven't seen the same level of athleticism in the sub-leagues. The hunger is there, and that does go a long way. If the USFL or the XFL can speed up the pace of the game, and have fewer commercials I'm sure they could be successful.

I think there is a league variation where you draft every week, that would be cool as we could all learn the players at the same time and redraft every week.
Its a league that the best players get nfl contracts so there really isnt a reason to learn their names except for those that raise to the top and then your ahead for the next nfl fantasy years draft.

I put in a waiver for Purdy before I left and noticed in my room that I didnt have the link or password for the league to even see if I got him off waivers.
I got home about an hour before thursdays game and made the fortunately not fatal mistake of putting in Bam because of the weather figuring it would be run heavy, apparently I'm an idiot.
Because Bam only netted me 2 points and it was looking bad I decided to make a gamble and hunted down a higher upside defense and QB and apparently I scored the best ones on both, Guess I'm a genius.
This game can drive you crazy..
Is there some NFL gaslighting campaign going on where only the NFL plays football?
I'm pretty sure that the NFL won't allow any contracted player to participate in the XFL, so yeah, kind of, in a way. I'm not sure if that extends to the practice squad, but I don't blame the NFL for being selfish in this case. They're player contracts specifically prohibit any off-season activity that could result in injures. They don't even like their players riding real bicycles, only stationary ones. So it's more than just the fact that it's a competing league, it's protecting their investments.
As for blacklisting of TV ads or anything like that, I haven't noticed.

This was a great year, all the teams were so close most the matches nail biters.
Playing the wire really made a difference as far as my team went, injuries were brutal all season long.

I don't think I have any chance either... Even if Ekeler is completely out for some reason, I'd need Herbert to put up 32 points, which he has never done this season. Ok, technically he got 31.76 once and that would be barely enough for me tonight but again, there is no indication that Ekeler wouldn't play.

Does the lingerie league still exist, i think I’d be much more interested in playing fantasy football for it than the XFL. In all seriousness is this the XFL version owned by the Rock? Time after time these leagues have failed. I don’t see how he or anyone could change this. I went to an arena league game few years back where a buddy from college was the starting QB, front row seats at Tropicana stadium, scored a TD and came over and handed us the ball, had free food vouchers etc etc ..essentially the best possible experience you could have. Would never go again. Is god awful boring. XFL I believe to be a bit different but can’t imagine garnering any interest in it either.

@moon- feel your pain. Played Hhampuz in the semis in our other league and my team had a rough day as well. The weather certainly played a small but sizable factor in games this week. More so than I can remember affecting so many teams in one weekend.

It appears the playoff for our league will be on week 16. I thought week 16 will be a bye week and we resume on week 17 and have our champion on week 18. I will need Lamar Jackson to win against Hueristic but it does not look good for him and his knee, and this is clearly not very good for me and my team hehe.
According to some news articles, Lamar has a PCL knee strain. Grade 1 PCL will need up to 2 weeks to heal, grade 2 will need up to 4 weeks. However, it was never mentioned if Lamar has grade 1 or grade 2 and it has only been on the 3rd week. I am afraid that he might not come back until the post season.
