Will leave the ff talk aside since I've been left in the dust.  The first half of the giants game was brutal probably the worst game of the year for them.  I mean injuries sucl and it's showing on the defensive side but are the Eagles this good?  I thought the beginning of the season they'd flatten out a bit but they seem to be getting better.  As a giants fan I hate to say this but jalen hurts is the real deal.  Dude plays almost flawlessly out there, makes me think giants should part ways with Jones this offseason and start over...again.  uhg.  Such a good start to the year coming back to earth now.

My team is actually playing pretty well right now.  I've got 22pts with Joe Burrow, 14pts with AJ Brown, 15pts with Najee Harris and struggling a bit 4.6 pts with Diggs, but still that's a pretty nice start to the game yet I'm already projected to lose with a win probability percentage of 27%.  I swear lol.  Not to mention your defense right now is currently -1 points.

Such has been my season.  Not catching too many breaks.  Still a lot of game left, but well played so far Moon!

Yeah I was kinda worried that playing Chase against Burrow might backfire if he decides to start passing to someone else but no, they still like each other Smiley

Edit: I'm just reading now what happened to Higgins and it's all a bit sketchy... he should have been "out", the team knew he wasn't gonna play. Kinda screwed up Hueristic's game.

Titans defense though... ewww.

Of course Josh Jacobs has a big game as we square off (not that it matters for me at all lol).  I have to say of all players that I incorrectly judged, he tops the list. It’s not that I didn’t think he had the talent, but I just thought his team around him would fail to be competitive enough to help him succeed. But he’s been balling regardless.

You and me both, that came out of left field!

Guess he really wants a killer contract next year.

I thought for sure a shitty team with coach issues would never produce a top 20 back let alone a top 5 one!

I had Jacobs last year and he was doing ok, so I drafted him again. Basically thinking that a shitty quarterback means more work for RBs, look at CMC et al. Did not expect him to do quite this well but I guess Carr sucks this year more than last year Smiley

Surprisingly Jacobs does not have most snaps in the league - third after Barkley and Cook by count, and third after Barkley and JT by percentage. Hopefully that means more chance for him to survive through week 17.

Looks like y'all gonna need to apologize to Baker Mayfield LOL

All things considered, he did look pretty good, particularly in the 4th quarter.  No experience with the Rams' playbook or their receivers, but he was able to come out and play street ball anyway.  There's a reason he was the number 1 draft pick, and I don't think he's nearly as bad as his detractors claim.  But he's been streaky, for sure.  Sometimes he looks amazing, and other times he looks horrible.

I've been taking Ls left and right lately, i can't seem to catch a break. Eh, i'll just wait until Week 18 to try my luck with those "incentive-based bets", as i called them. Players with performance bonuses in their contracts who are only a few receptions/yards/TDs away from a big fat bonus check. For example, Diggs was 5-6 receptions away from $650k last year, Allen spammed him with 14 targets on that day against the Jets.  Grin

Lol, incentive based bets are for real.  Anyway, I figure since I've been abstaining from betting on football for most of the year I'll give myself a chance to make up for lost time.  Win or lose, lol

One game that really has me intrigued from a gambling perspective is the Ravens @ Pittsburg.  Baltimore is the underdog, with 2.10 odds at the moment.  Lamar is out for the week, but Huntly has been a decent backup in the past.  That seems like a bargain, especially with a small handicap.

Rams still suck horribly though.

It was the Raiders' fault why they have lost against this Rams team. There were people in social media who were joking that everyone in the Raiders should quit, from the CEO to the employee in charge of the hotdog stand hehehehe.

In any case, should I use Amari Cooper or Mike Evans? Projected points for Amari is 2 points higher but he is questionable with a hip injury and Massage Watson might again not play a good game. Mike Evans has lower projected points and Bucanners are against the 49ers, however, he is healthy and he has goat Brady to pass balls to him.

Indeed.. there were two big penalties against the Raiders in the last drive of the Rams... Tillery's action alone just makes you shake your head... how do you knock the ball out of the opposing QB's hand after a sack in that game situation and get 15 yards and a firstdown for it? Cheesy
But still an impressive drive by Mayfield.

I haven't had much interest in gambling on real football games so far this season either, but you might be onto something there.  Adams is still Adams, but the Rams secondary has really slipped form last season.  We all know it was going to happen, but I certainly didn't expect it to happen to this degree.

Baker lucky he didn't have enough time to learn the Rams' playbook, lol, i can imagine him struggling through his progressions on every play.  He's alright as Wolford's backup, a third-string qb throwing passes to the practice squad wide receivers. If a team gives this guy a starting job next season, i swear i'll quit football...

<...> Guess he really wants a killer contract next year. <...>

Personal note for future drafts, never ever overlook players who are in a contract year, just look at him, Saquon, Lamar...etc.

We each throw ~$50 in at the beginning of the season, pick players for our team, and then every week win or lose against another team based on the points our players score. Teams with most wins go to playoffs, top two teams fight for the championship and the champion gets the money (with a smaller amount of money going to the 2nd place). That's the mission I guess.

FF points are scored by catch/run/pass yards, touchdowns, etc - more details here: https://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/f1/1195465/settings

Ah okay, somehow it all sounded more complicated than it actually is. So you're used to it... but thanks for the short but very informative explanation!  Smiley Unfortunately I couldn't reward it with more Merit, because I ran out of them again.

The entry fee is also more than fair, I'm already looking forward to the next regular season - you can count on me! Wink

I am terrible at Fantasy Football!!!
I give my advanced congratulations to South Park Cows for going to the playoff. I hope this advanced congratulations will give the reverse effect and bring more luck for my team hehehehehee.
Or in other words you are actually cursing the Q/Cows without actually saying it right? Cry

But you do not have too much to worry about it, as long as you could win at least one game you are most likely in the playoffs, because even if the Q/Cows won both games, something doubtful as the Rollers have good players and the Coiners are probably the hottest team on the league right now, you currently have the tie-breaker in your favor by over 87 points and it is unlikely I could reverse this.

The better quarterback than Daniel Jones, my substitution for Lamar. I was looking at Kyler Murray in the waiver wire, if I remember correctly. I was also looking at Massage Watson who I speculate might do a much better performance than his first game after suspension.

Another problem for my team is Christian McCaffrey. He has always been limited in practice and questionable every week for 1 month because of his knee.
Right now is difficult to find players on the waiver wire as not only you need to think on the current week, you also need to think on the possibility of making it to the playoffs and how those players will perform during those weeks while at the same time you do not want to drop a good player which other teams could then use against you.

This is why I have not dropped “Massage Watson” and most likely I will even start him as I think he is bound to be better during this critical week in which I cannot play Fields due to the BYE week.

I am more inclined to blame the Raiders over this, if I am correct they are 0-4 in games in which they had an advantage of 13 points or more this season, and while Mayfield still had to make the comeback, it does not get any easier than doing this against the Raiders.

Nice to hear that.
I would very much like to be part of next season, but I would first have to get in touch with the fantasy league.. I have no experience there.

Do you have a mission for the season? I've read through a few pages but couldn't find anything about it. Please enlighten me!  Roll Eyes

Of course, we would love to have a fresh lamb for the slaughter new member join our league.  Last year we started with 8 players, this year we had 10, and I think everybody would like to expand to 12 next year.  Keep an eye on this thread next year during the NFL's pre-season, that's when things are usually getting finalized.

Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

I had to laugh.. but thank u for ur welcome!

@seek3r as Wolf said, we would definitely like to move to a 12 man league and it's great to hear someone wanting to play ahead of time, as it's always a pain trying to find people last minute once the season is about to begin.

The players that were strong at the beginning of the season are showing their usage while the slow starters are starting to put up big numbers.

I very much agree. I have reviewed my team again and I saw that there are now presently 3 players considered as questionable. Tyreek Hill did not practice on Thursday because of an illness. My hope is this is not Covid hehe. The other new questionable player is Amari Cooper. This is a very head scratching ending I have after leading for much of the season hehehe.

Also, if McCaffrey is placed in doubtful and Amari and Hill also cannot play, I will not have someone in W/R/T because Antonio Gibson is on a bye week.

Damn these Fantasy Teams look like a lot of fun.. I dont have any experience with this but if I'm right you are using the Fantasy Football Manager from yahoo?

Would like to know if its possible to get on board for the next regular season?

Of course, we would love to have a fresh lamb for the slaughter new member join our league.

In other news, the Rams picking up Baker Mayfield is kind of funny.  I think they pursued him just to keep the 9ers from picking him up.  To be honest, I think we have a better chance of reaching the playoffs with Mr. Irrelevant.  The kid looked good against the Fins last week, there was one broken play where he rolled out to the right and threw a dart to the sideline looking a lot like Josh Allen.  He become relevant after all.

Another problem for my team is Christian McCaffrey. He has always been limited in practice and questionable every week for 1 month because of his knee.

That's scary for the 9ers also, CMC has made a huge impact on our offensive scheme.  He even made Garoppolo look like a decent quarterback.

@Wolf- yeah I'm not sure how to feel about this.  At first I thought it was silly for the Rams to even care enough to swoop him up but I guess they figured why not give him a look see and see if he could possibly turn things around.  I was thinking originally that the 49rs were the no brainer team to try and swoop him but probably have to agree, he'd quite possibly, if not assuredly make the team even worse.

Rams probably did you a favor by picking him, not that Shanahan has ever even considered him, but hey...Baker is horrible, plain and simple. It's debatable whether he can even be a backup of the backup, let alone a starter, or help a team make a push in the playoffs.

Agreed, but I'll counter with saying that Shanahan is one sneaky bugger.  He may have feigned interest just to get McVey to jump on Baker, lol.  I'm just kidding, I have no evidence to suggest that happened, but the local media ran with speculation about the 9ers picking up Baker just because of the timing with Garoppolo going out for the season.  Again.

Watching Brock Purdy on Sunday was fun.  Obviously it's way to too early to tell how good of a quarterback he'll be, but honestly his athleticism and accuracy looked worlds better than anything I've seen from Trey Lance so far.  Not to mention, I always love rooting for an underdog player and you don't get more "underdog" than being labeled Mr. Irrelevant.

Of course now I need to be concerned about a backup for the backup's backup.

Anyway, i haven't placed that many bets on the season, but i'm really liking D. Adams Anytime Scorer + Raiders ML for plus money. The Raiders are still in contention for the AFC's final wild-card spot. I just don't see the Rams secondary/corners slowing down Adams. Geno torched them a couple of days ago with 100+ yards and touchdowns for both Lockett and Metcalf.
