@hueristc- I’ve seen every type of football league, Canadian (which is the most legitimate of them all, or at least used to be) followed by XFL type leagues then arena. I said I haven’t seen this XFL league, nor has anyone else (correct me if I’m wrong but it’s been shut down for a few years ). There’s been quite a few of these XFL/whatever else they’ve been called leagues.. They start up, fail pretty quickly, try it again with some changes, repeat. I’ve never been interested in any of them, hence why i can’t see myself enjoying this new one coming either. i try to get in to college here and there but same deal. Just an NFL obsessed fan.

These other leagues may be filled w/a bunch of guys working their assess off but the talent level is bad. The likelihood any of them see the NFL ever (or again) is extremely low. Just not for me.

I put in a waiver for Purdy before I left and noticed in my room that I didnt have the link or password for the league to even see if I got him off waivers.

I got home about an hour before thursdays game and made the fortunately not fatal mistake of putting in Bam because of the weather figuring it would be run heavy, apparently I'm an idiot.

Because Bam only netted me 2 points and it was looking bad I decided to make a gamble and hunted down a higher upside defense and QB and apparently I scored the best ones on both, Guess I'm a genius. Cheesy

I'm pretty sure that the NFL won't allow any contracted player to participate in the XFL, so yeah, kind of, in a way. I'm not sure if that extends to the practice squad, but I don't blame the NFL for being selfish in this case. They're player contracts specifically prohibit any off-season activity that could result in injures. They don't even like their players riding real bicycles, only stationary ones. So it's more than just the fact that it's a competing league, it's protecting their investments.

As for blacklisting of TV ads or anything like that, I haven't noticed.

This was a great year, all the teams were so close most the matches nail biters.

Playing the wire really made a difference as far as my team went, injuries were brutal all season long.

BTW @Wheels I noticed your team really came together last few weeks, too bad it took them so long, I would not want to be facing them at this point.

I don't think I have any chance either... Even if Ekeler is completely out for some reason, I'd need Herbert to put up 32 points, which he has never done this season. Ok, technically he got 31.76 once and that would be barely enough for me tonight but again, there is no indication that Ekeler wouldn't play.

Does the lingerie league still exist, i think I’d be much more interested in playing fantasy football for it than the XFL. In all seriousness is this the XFL version owned by the Rock? Time after time these leagues have failed. I don’t see how he or anyone could change this. I went to an arena league game few years back where a buddy from college was the starting QB, front row seats at Tropicana stadium, scored a TD and came over and handed us the ball, had free food vouchers etc etc ..essentially the best possible experience you could have. Would never go again. Is god awful boring. XFL I believe to be a bit different but can’t imagine garnering any interest in it either.

@moon- feel your pain. Played Hhampuz in the semis in our other league and my team had a rough day as well. The weather certainly played a small but sizable factor in games this week. More so than I can remember affecting so many teams in one weekend.

It appears some of the games were played already. I thought it was going to be the usual schedule, I forgot about the adjustment because Christmas is on a Sunday hehe.

In any case, the results of week 16 appear not to be very good for my team hehe. Congratulations to the lost man in the casino, @Hueristic. You are 136 projected vs. my 127 projected. Nick Folk had 0 fantasy points and Stevenson only had 3.30 points. I still have a chance, however, it would need for one of your players to get 0 points which, I am certain, is very impossible.

Some interesting rates for this afternoon's underdogs. The Eagles +4.5 @ 1.83 sounds like a bargain. A bit surprised to see the Cowboys favored by such a margin, but at the same time, I still don't trust the Eagles.

I vote for next year that even the last place teams get to play in the consolation bracket. I mean I don't think that we even have any sort of reward for whomever wins that do we? Regardless, despite having come in dead last (this may actually be the first time in 15 years of playing thats happened) I still want to keep playing until everyone is done, even if its absolutely meaningless...still fun for me (and you can still make side bets w/the team you're facing).

Good luck to everyone in the playoffs. I made the playoffs in 1 of my 3 teams. Facing off Hhampuz in our league as the #4 seed versus the #1. I have absolutely no luck so I expect a one and done lol.

That was an amazing comeback, one of the best in NFL history. Vikings fans will remember that one for generations to come, despite Cousins, lol. I usually only catch the late game every Sunday, have been faithfully watching every Thursday night game on Amazon Prime, but I notice the NFL has been doing these well-produced game summaries on YouTube where they clip together all the highlights into one 15-20 min video for easy viewing.

This was a great one to rewatch... 'Ol Sucky almost pulled off a V but it was snatched away from him by some amazing offense by the Vikings. This was one of my favorite moments of the reel:

Lol, he's looking pretty bad, but I don't see him as the problem. Belichick is a defensive coach with no offensive coordinator. Nah I think you made the right move by choosing Mixon over Murray. That's more luck than anything in my opinion. I'm not sur we will even see Latavius Murray in the NFL next year. I guess you could make an argument you should have started Montgomery over Mixon (being that Herbert is still out) but I dunno, hard for me to ever sit guys like Mixon. I mean he did just go off for 66 points not all that long ago (though yeah he's not been so great since).
