Most, if not all, of the top 10 countries that gamble the most are developed countries. This ranking must also reflect the kind of lifestyle they have in these countries. It means that people have some extras or surplus in their money because they have the luxury to spend an amount in gambling.

Poor countries may have a lot of gamblers also but they must be severely limited by the amount they can afford to lose or gamble.
That could be one of the main factors why these countries have a great gambling industry since they have more possible customers that can afford to spend more money on gambling unlike in developing countries. No wonder why places like the US has a lot of gambling places because it's popular entertainment that even foreigners travel to gamble in these countries.

Most gamblers in poor countries aim to find a financial solution in gambling that's why it's hard for developing countries to be on the list.

Therefore it's not really a problem because they are earning a lot and they can allocate some money in gambling which does not affect their financial responsibilities. Government knows that, reason why they allow their people to gamble.

For as long as the citizens of these countries are doing it in moderation, I don't see a big problem coming from it. But I doubt there will never be even a single case of a gambler getting addicted to it to the point of losing sense of his other responsibilities.

Poor countries may have a lot of gamblers also but they must be severely limited by the amount they can afford to lose or gamble.
Who would limit them? casinos would not do that and regulators would not as well, they will advice but they will not control how you spend your finances.

What's important is people to be educated about the risk of gambling.

They are limited by their very own finances. Even if they want to gamble more, they will be withheld because they have no more money to support their wish.

There are actually mechanisms installed by casinos and governments that somehow limit gamblers.

The gambling statistics are quite inaccurate, or maybe, the subject is completely different. Anyway, we cannot really get the full statistics of it unless we are going to limit our scope to cryptocurrency or even online gambling. With this, we should ask, what is the importance of why we should understand the statistics? It is to inform us that certain country already established a good regulation in terms of gambling and their people is already well knowledgeable about the consequences of gambling. It might also tell us something about how rich their people is, as they have more time in gambling instead of focusing on other things to gain money.

It is really no surprising as the gambling cities of Macau in China and Las Vegas in America are in these countries and there is really an active gambling industry there. I just wonder how they were able to come up with the said numbers of losses in terms of money lost by an individual. Well I understand it is the average but I do think that only a few people could afford to lose a thousand dollars for gambling purposes. I am really curious about the statistics used on this and how they come up with such a number.

I was aware that the Irish and Greek people like to gamble a lot. It's not a surprise that they are among your Top10 list. But once country I didn't expect to see there it's Norway. I always thought the people from Norway are very serious people and would not engage in things like gambling. Also the few times I was in Oslo, I never actually saw a casino there. The only thing I saw which was kind of like a casino in Scandinavia was in Sweden.

I'm sure people are surprise that China is in the list.

In general, gambling is illegal in china but not in Macau, and according the article I read, majority the revenue of Casinos in Macau are coming from tourist or safe to say non Chinese people.

you can read more information on this site. https://www.casino.org/blog/gambling-laws-china/

The Chinese government is very profit-oriented and communistic in nature they do not allow their citizen to gamble, only foreigners but they run the state-run lottery and state-sponsored gambling sites for foreigners that is the reason why Macau and Hongkong are a great tourist hub because they know that gamblers love scenic spot and great hotels, they are more commercialist than those democratic countries.

I think chinese citizens are allowed to gambling in Macau, that's according to the link provided by Questat

https://www.casino.org/blog/gambling-laws-china/

here.

Although gambling is illegal in mainland China, as we well know, Macau is a gambling hub! Macau is the only place where you can legally gamble in China – but it’s not easy for Chinese citizens to get visas in order to visit.

The article just said major revenue are coming from tourists which means they also earn money from chinese gamblers, probably the reach chinese citizens.

I just found out that, to be honest before that I thought that European countries were the countries that gambled the most but according to these data, at least the Asian states were still at the top. But indeed, European states still dominate and that is not surprising to me, because even gambling marketing and advertising in Europe can be said to be easy to find.

Every article shows different result since there are several countries which is not listed there, But the one I truly wonder here is China is not listed while in our country they are the on who's into the gambling scene and I saw so many Chinese online casino created. Maybe the surveys regarding on statistic is not conducted correctly since they miss many countries and other things on the list.

Read this article since this is more interesting https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20150610005010/en/GBGC-Which-Country-Gambles-the-Most

I can not simply believe on the list, Since many betting locales are confined by the government and we can just access them with the help of proxy/VPN. There's embrace plausibility that gamblers use the proxy/VPN to change their nation's IP with another. Betting destinations are prohibited in my nation as well however I utilize Australian VPN to interface with them. If you search more, you'll see various locales gives you distinctive outcome

The data is probably based on what they can only track, if you use vpn then maybe you are referring to crypto casinos. I believe the list in the OP are on fiat casinos, all of them or most of them have license, hence they are regulated and it's easy for the regulators to track their activities, and they also submit reports.

Those are the country I want to visit soon but some of them are too much expensive to travel well I'm just a small-time gambler not unlike other people I just want to come to visit and just feel the ambience, joy, greed of the environment on their casinos right now on my country there is only one supporting having the legal gambling, some of the parts right here is doing some small gambling I don't think this is called illegal because some of them are just playing just to seek some fun and extra earning.

Give me quit surprise expression that china is included on the list they are strict with the gambling right? How comes, just wondering why.

It's no surprise US is owning every other country when it comes to gambling. They have the most prestigious and most extravagant gambling dens in the world, enough to entice the high-rollers of this planet to waste away their money. Just weirded out that Macau is not in this list considering how big they make them up to be in the media.
It's a surprise that China and the USA haven't on the list and most of the time when we talk about gambling those countries have some dedicated cities for casinos like Las Vegas and Macau.
Have you read the post? US is literally at the top of the list. Please read more into the post and don't just reply for the sake of replying.

Good to see that Our country is not on either list meaning we are still not that Dominating country in gambling .
I believe that there is Good taxation in gambling that's why supported by other government .But i also believe that the losses of the community is much effect in the economy than the amount the country is taking.

Gamblers will gamble as long as there are places to satisfy their needs,But The government Should also have a Campaign educating people on how is the right manner handling gambling because this cause damage to the family and environment if not handled rightfully .

out which countries are popular with gambling, usually in those countries there are good casinos to try.
