IMO the second graph is representing gambling habits more accurate.

The first graph about losses count to be valid too, but doesn't represent gambling frequency.

Countries like Australia, France and Spain have rigid gambling regulations and closed markets, so people you could see some gambling decline there. For example, Spain recently voted against VPNs and that using a VPN to gamble in a non-state licenced site is a crime.

Gambling is in all parts of the world but considering where it is rampant I have always known Australia to be the hotspot for it. Well honestly speaking whenever I hear of gambling the first thing that comes to my mind is entertainment and having fun while predicting a particular winning number.

Well it’s Obvious now that some or many people take it as a form of occupation, it’s those not change the fact that gambling is still entertaining and for those who depend on it for survival it also help them with some money that if they are lucky with the outcome of their predictions.
Yeah but I didn't expect that Australia will be the number one, I just thought it is US, but then it shows in the data that yes it is confirmed and we can say that Australia is having their biggest losser in gambling this year I think, in that case we can say that in the said country gambling is still in good shape and they doesn't regulate it too much to its extent. I just think that they should advices their peope to manager their wealth properly and not to spend too much.

Many of us did not expect that, but we don't know which country has to be number one because many countries are not on the list. If there is research about that, the list will be different than what we read, so that is normal to see that thing.

As long as they can advise people not to spend their money gambling and manage their money with the right, it will reduce the loss of money in gambling. They can still play gambling, but they need to have limitations before losing more money.

have you ever wondered which are the countries where gambling is more popular?

and in which people lose more money for gambling?

this website gives us a clue about it.

Quote
Rank   Country   Gaming Losses Per Adult
1   Australia   $1,288.00
2   Singapore   $1,174.00
3   Ireland   $588.00
4   Canada   $568.00
5   Finland   $553.00
6   Italy   $517.00
7   Hong Kong   $503.00
8   Norway   $448.00
9   Greece   $420.00
10   Spain   $418.00

do you live in any of these countries? it'd be nice to hear more on the opinions of someone who knows the gambling scene on each place.

this other website tell a slightly different story

In the first list , United States and china are not listed in the gambling ranking which in the 2nd graph, these two countries top the list.
How could there could be so much contradiction in the both reports and which one is the right one ?  It obvious one of these report has to be wrong one.

Contradiction comes from their sources probably! I don't even know how they can do the math these days, except legal gambling sites and casinos you have illegal ones, and we have crypto gambling! To gather accurate information from all of them is impossible!
Therefore, these stats are just for legal fiat casinos! We can only speculate how big crypto gambling is, and how many illegal gambling activities there are across the world, I doubt that anyone can provide accurate info about that.

Definitely the survey talks about the legit casinos, which means crypto casinos which are anonymous are not included and those that are illegal gambling. That information they have is already enough to make a report, it may not be accurate but at least it gives us some information we can reflect on and to know how big the influence of gambling in a certain countries that are in the list.

I think America is the country with the most gambling activities, because Las Vegas is the best place in the world to play gambling.
Even though I have never played gambling in Las Vegas, I can find out about it from articles on the internet, videos on YouTube and
several Hollywood movies with many themes of gambling in Las Vegas. Maybe from the list of countries mentioned in the opening post,
I am quite surprised that Australia is one of the countries with  the highest gambling activities, I didn't expect many Australians to like
gambling.

It should be on the top list because it is the mecca of entertainment but it's nowhere in the top 3 and Australia is a such a big surprise they are on the top of the list, this is the first time I heard that Australian people are very much into gambling i just thought they are only good in drinking beer but they do spend a lot of ingambling.
Las Vegas is in the USA if you don't know it yet and it's on the top list since Vegas is a crowded place I'm not surprise if it is on the top of the list. But I'm surprised that Australia is on the top of the list that most adult loses in gambling instead of people in Macau or Las Vegas. But I don't think those charts and statistics are accurate, they didn't know most of the crypto gambler since most of them are playing anonymously.
This doesnt talk about crypto players or gamblers specifically yet this do pertain about with that typical fiat gamblers and even me got surprised that australia had able to get the top spot
knowing that Macau and Las vegas would be considered to be on having that title of gambling capital of the world due to lots of people been doing gambling on that place
aside in number of people but also into those establishments and businesses that are located on there which you wont really be having no doubt on getting that title.
Even me didnt really believe that much into these statistics to be accurate because if making up some total count review then it might really be giving out some other result.
I think that currently there are no casinos that use bitcoin or altcoin as a means of payment even though now many betting sites support bitcoin and altcoin, the problem is of course bitcoin is still not considered a legal transaction tool so casinos don't allow bets using bitcoin, if you want. bets can be on websites such as stake, betnomi, roobert if you want to use cryptocurrency payments.

however, if it is about online gambling, may be many people here are also playing it. But not in the real casino or offline casinos.
I doubt there would be accurate table and statistics here in online ganbling as most of us plays anonymously

Of course! In many countries gambling is prohibited by law, but people continue to play online using VPN or TOR to bypass bans. It is simply unreal to collect statistics on these players and also on the whole world. So in my opinion these statistics are far from the truth or reflects the situation only in the gambling houses excluding online gambling.

I am not sure that the statistics indicated by the author take into account gambling sites and bets in them. Still, this is a rather specific destination without a visa, which does not depend on the visit of citizens of one country. the growth of the national segment of online games differs from other large countries.

These stats even won't near to the accurate value, this will be the mean value collected by most of the articles posted by individuals which means most of the countries won't get covered and it is impossible to keep track of the anonymous gambling as well.
We might have misunderstood what OP has posted, this is not about anonymous gambling sites or crypto casinos as there's no way we can track that information or even the regulators, so let's assume that these are all fiat casinos data summarize to come up with this list.

I am lucky not to live in one of the countries mentioned on the list...
These countries definitely legalize gambling which results in the players not being able to think about their losses, surely the psychological impact and also household harmony will be affected because of gambling there.

Thus, you are implying that the city with these gambling casino and joints are experiencing high levels of crime and violence because these players are not being able to think because of their losses, implying that they experience psychological issues and hence has a tendency to become violent or psychotic. I am not familiar with the statistics of crime in Macau and Las Vegas, but I think their reputations should already be proof if lawlessness actually prevails in those places and where criminals roam freely.

Las Vegas is awesome, it's always such a great trip and vacation. I haven't been to Macau yet but I want to check it out after all the corona madness is over. In terms of online casinos the data might change easily, because people can switch around to other casinos very quickly. But seeing new cities such as Las Vegas or Macau is not very realistic I believe, because it takes a huge infrastructure to support such a gambling environment. You need fancy hotels, a good airport, nice restaurants and shops. Going to Vegas is not only about gambling, but also about all the goodies around it, like great dinners, awesome pool parties, nice clubs, etc.
Although I do not yet visit Las Vegas and Macau, I think that place is a good place for gamblers because they are free to play gambling at any casino. But if they are young people, I don't think it will be easy for them to play gambling in that place. I think that huge infrastructure won't be too necessary because the gamblers will not think much about that. As long as they can play gambling in a comfortable place, that will not be a problem if the infrastructure is not as good as the other place. But I am sure the government will slowly build a good infrastructure to help their cities grow.

however, if it is about online gambling, may be many people here are also playing it. But not in the real casino or offline casinos.

yep, I've asked this question before in this board(the thread was trashed by a mod though after a day or two) and the majority of the answer is that it is impossible to get accurate from online gambling especially in crypto gambling.
However, the data can sign that the amount of money used in the gambling industry will be increased from time to time, no matter if the data is not accurate. It could help the government think about preventing addicting gamblers before it becomes a serious matter in their country.

Yeah, same here. Glad my country's not on the top 10 list. Pretty sure people there can afford their losses. And I think most of those on the list are included in the first or second world country.

Well anyway, it's nice to know some statistics like that. Even though the two websites are not the same in data, we could all agree that those countries are the ones we can see which has many gamblers. Especially the US because Vegas is the first that comes in my mind when gambling is the topic.

Personally, I still prefer the data of this because we know that the US, China, and Japan are very open to gambling and there are many casinos to be found, easy regulation, and requirement.
And I don't live in those countries. And gambling in my country is still forbidden because it may show crimes. however, if it is about online gambling, may be many people here are also playing it. But not in the real casino or offline casinos.

I'm not also living on that above mentioned countries by Op. I never know this kind of list just until now and I'm surprise to see Australia as the top because I expect hongkong or macao as the biggest countries that gamble the most. Luckily the country you belong is not in there this means people are not that into gambling. Definitely those on the list people gamble the most that they can afford to lose.
