There have been many hacks, exchanges gone under and lots of scam ICOs happening for some time now. No one knows when it will stop but definitely you can avoid being a victim of you research your investments well and do proper keeping of your records. Don't leave any funds on any Exchange to avoid stories that touch the heart. Crime will definitely be a part of the crypto world. Coinbene is still battling with its own and so are the others caught in same web

I totally agree. The cryptocurrency space involves a lot of money because it caters the financial industry and we all know that money makes the world go round and is also the root of evil. It's so easy to those stuff on the internet because you can be anonymous anytime you want. Scamming is the top for me while hacking is on the second.

Subjectively speaking, I think hacking crypto wallets is the biggest crime. I acquire most of my cryptos by joining bounties and working hard for them. Each campaign usually takes a few months to almost a year before getting the rewards. It would be devastating for me to find out that all my hard earned coins were stolen. Scamming would be my next answer. Imagine those people who invested a chunk of their life savings just to fill someone's pocket; now that's harsh and heartbreaking.

Its very disturbing and alarming to wake up only find out that millions and billions of dollars have been lost for good, whom are you going to ask or blame. This is what makes people scared and feel reluctant to join due to the fear of unknown. For me I think the biggest crime is yet to come so lets all watch out in order not to be victims.

Actually for me i really don’t consider those hacking to be legit because it seems to be theres a inside job happens on those so we cannot tell it a hack
But since theres no evidence on the process the case will remain hack in nothing can changed that

Then for me its the MEW hacking is largest because it happens not once but twice in a row

I have never heard anything happen to myetherwallet and it was Etherdelta that was hacked. Also, phishing emails were sent to almost all bitcointalk users as the email database was leaked during a hack earlier. Hence, most users were affected but those that did not click on suspicious links had their wallets safe.

Edit: Checked it now and there was a hack in the extension of MEW. Glad I did not access MEW during the hack.

you're right, where there's a chance to do it, there must be lots of people who will do that. on the internet, I think it's very difficult to open one's identity, especially in the crypto world. well, because of that, many crimes have occurred, especially in cases of fraud.

Right.Cryptocurrency investment needs more security knowing it has a big risks along with it.We as investors are also responsible to keep secured our wallets all the time as this might be hacked easily by those people who are only after with the wealth inside our wallets.Hackers and scammers are everywhere so we should take full responsibility of our own actions.

I think crypto has no fault of it, if any exchange getting hacked, the fault of private centralized institutions hijacked, who are not doing their work with properly and that's why the hacking causes are on highlight . Crypto is currency and we use it for trade or investment, it is not crime.

Well the most ones that do shock in cryptocurrency crimes are the exchanges that hold client's money for so long by providing a stable environment where everything feels "ok" but later on they leave with the money.
Some of them from the very most known companies with affiliation levels.
