This would be great if bitcoin becomes legal to all the countries. It would be a great opportunity and investment when it is legally available. Imagine people are working for it to have a great opportunity to earn and have a source o money.

Tell that to the governments of the corruption countries and the banks which are subordinate to, I think they will not appreciate your enthusiasm Grin
Although to be honest, I also dream about the legalizing of Bitcoin and real profitable investments in it

well it is not a real real bitcoin cafe , they simply decorated it in style
if you cannot pay for the goods or services in bitcoin it is nothing but an attempt to ride the waves of crypto hype
besides the ripple logo , there are also monero , eth , zcash logos , so I'd rather call it Crypto cafe
Bangladesh "banned" bitcoin and if OP tries to pay in bitcoin and the owner gets fined or even goes to jail ( no idea how strict their law is) - this wasn't a good idea at all
Yes,you can call them crypto cafe but there cafe name is the bitcoin cafe.Yes there is high risk if police catch us using bitcoin.Though Our country law is not strict,if you compare with others country (US,EU) but yes police arrested people for using bitcoin. you can read this article. https://www.thedailystar.net/backpage/news/police-arrest-3-cryptocurrency-dealers-1735429

Wow, this is great! Bitcoin cafe in a country where bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are illegal? this is a very good promotional gig! even though the cryptos are illegal in that country this cafe would be very popular for using the bitcoin name and also using the bitcoin name will help promote bitcoin too as well. so it is a win-win for both parties I believe.

But the catch is, they are not accepting any cryptocurrency as payment.
Just using the crypto design for their cafe layout.
But I think this cafe will be the first one to introduce crypto payment once crypto becomes legal to this county.
At least they are already one step ahead of the game.

I like how they convey messages about crypto through art. Maybe, the cafe owner is one of those who are enthusiastic about crypto who always follows the development of crypto.

It's not just by the name but it sticked with the motif.

Ehh I don't think so. It's a "Bitcoin cafe", but of all things that they could place in in addition, they've chosen a Ripple logo?

Maybe this doesn't look to be a good idea, as it was in a country where the usage of cryptocurrencies were banned and termed a punishable offense. I would like to appreciate the plan and the way its been executed, the interior plans were excellent to create a mood that we're into a separate chamber of technology. Though the country isn't that supportive, more people will get to know about technology. The ban is on bitcoin and not on the technology.

In Bangladesh, people are not allowed to use bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency. Govt has declared it illegal. The great news is our current Finance Ministry is thinking over it and we will probably be seen Bitcoin legal in the coming years.
In Dhanmondi, there's a cafe namely "The Bitcoin Cafe". Although they don't accept bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency, I see it as a great way of promotion, people will learn more about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. I have visited this cafe 2 times and asked to pay with Bitcoin but he wasn't agreed.

truly unfortunate news in the country of Bangladesh. I do not understand, why the Bangladesh government does not legalize bitcoin, do they consider bitcoin to be a threat to their cash currency or is there another reason. I hope the Bangladeshi financial government can think positively about bitcoin, that bitcoin can benefit their country, so they can immediately make legal bitcoin in their country.
and in my opinion very impressive news on dhanmondi, with the existence of a bitcoin cafe like you said. in my opinion such an idea is a very good innovation to introduce bitcoin to the general public, even though they cannot yet use bitcoin as a means of payment. but I think with a bitcoin cafe like that, someone who has visited the cafe will be more motivated to learn and the greater curiosity about bitcoin and crypto. hopefully there will be more innovations that can make bitcoin more known by the public.

It is a good advertising strategy since people who are visiting the cafe would be curious on how the name was created. The interior was nice and like the color combination. If they are for advertising though it is good but the country itself doesn't support it. If it is ambiance wise a very cool design indeed.

Hey OP,I am thinking to make a post about you.I already saw this cafe in Dhanmondi but never visited.but I will visit this place soon and will take photo.after that I will post in this community.
I didn't know that Bangladesh made cryptocurrency illegal, is there a reason for the illegal of crypto? Is there no warning for the cafe from the government? With a concept like that. The concept of cryptocurrency without alternative payment using crypto, is ironic.
Yes bitcoin and others crypto currency illegal in Bangladesh. Even few people arrested for using crypto currency.I know one of them who is suffering.Police worte case that he is involved in money laundering but he is a reseller.he only buy and sell crypto currency. Even many times i sold my bitcoin for BDT (Local currency).3months later he came back from prison but still now case is running. Then I tried to contact with him he told after arrested, police took around 20k$+ from his coinbase and others crypto wallet. Now his situation is very bad.But Few months ago our PM said that we are thinking about blockchain and we will accept it very soon but no progress as far I know.

That's really funny actually. A Bitcoin cafe but the people there aren't able to spend Bitcoin or any other crypto-currencies in store.

It's a great work around the government's rules, just because you can't use and buy Bitcoin, doesn't mean you can't plaster it everywhere. I have no doubts that the owner of the cafe has a nice Bitcoin fund himself.

In recent months, bitcoin adoption is slowly growing - we saw china getting lax with their own rules and I reckon your country will as well.

Ironic huh!, there's a cafe but not all can use bitcoin freely and anywhere but I think this is just the start for bitcoin, who  knows, maybe in the near future a lot will adopt bitcoin and we can use it as another mode of payment. We should be happy that little by little we can see establishment that accepts bitcoin though it is still very few but our technology is advancing an as I've noticed more people are now adaptive to new technology thus it is not impossible that a lot will adopt bitcoin.

Its quite ironic that they don't accept bitcoin. Maybe the owner just like to make it as a design rather than using bitcoin as payment. Its more like of advertisement of btc that makes it amazing.

This is one way to promote bitcoin that is very creative, designing a cafe whose walls are surrounded by the bitcoin logo or other crypto currencies that create beautiful scenery and become the center of attention for its visitors.
I'm sure those who like bitcoin or cryptocurrency will be obsessed with promoting bitcoin or cryptocurrency in their own way so that it becomes more popular.

Actually, I am also thinking of how I can apply crypto to the business that is on my mind, time will come, when I will put up my own business too, and I would love to contribute to the adoption of crypto by having a crypto payments in the little business that I will run someday.
With this kind of positive outlook regarding to this system, having the desire to have your own business who also caters the blockchain  not only Bitcoin but those majority projects which have a good use. Business adoptions will make more people to be aware of how this alternative currency works and how it will bring quick access to payment transactions.

Prohibitions on the use of cryptocurrencies are an obstacle to mass adoption, however, it is not limited at all, because there are many online goods and services that can be paid with Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies.

I believe that these prohibitions will soon disappear, because the ecosystem is putting pressure and governments will understand that cryptocurrencies generate many benefits to society.

Yes, I think this is a very good idea and innovation for introducing bitcoin and cryptocurrency. although the cafe does not want to accept payments using crypto, but at least the cafe owner has introduced the world of crypto to the general public. I am sure that those who come to the cafe are not just people who have understood about bitcoin or crypto, and that will definitely make ordinary people ask, what is bitcoin .. ??
so that more people want to learn about bitcoin, and they will definitely enter the world of cryptocurrency.
