It's not just by the name but it sticked with the motif.

Ehh I don't think so. It's a "Bitcoin cafe", but of all things that they could place in in addition, they've chosen a Ripple logo?

The name "bitcoin café" I guess means the whole cryptocurrency world that use blockchain. They are accepting any cryptocurrency, thinking that not all of the people have bitcoin, some of them have Ethereum, Ripple, Litecoin, and so on. The problem is some coins requires more time to be sent, like Ethereum in bitcoin, maybe 10-15 minutes depending on how much transaction fee you used.
There are other coins which are faster to send but are they really as reliable to use then the main ones such as bitcoin and ethereum? Embarrassed
Here is the thread where they are discussing about virtual currency eventually becoming a mainstream way of processing retail payments.

Even if you cannot use bitcoin as of now, its great to see businesses want to adopt the technology and by making it an inspiration/theme to their business. This, in turn, would make more people curious about crypto in general and may attract several investors to make the market healthier. Other people here saying that it's ironic may be true, but its better to spread awareness than do nothing to make bitcoin more relevant. It's not legal to their country to accept it as currency so the owners abide by the law or they may face punishments

In Bangladesh, people are not allowed to use bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency. Govt has declared it illegal. The great news is our current Finance Ministry is thinking over it and we will probably be seen Bitcoin legal in the coming years.
In Dhanmondi, there's a cafe namely "The Bitcoin Cafe". Although they don't accept bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency, I see it as a great way of promotion, people will learn more about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. I have visited this cafe 2 times and asked to pay with Bitcoin but he wasn't agreed.

That "The Bitcoin Cafe" is not really honest,  if they are going to use Bitcoin in their establishment then they might as well, use Bitcoin the Bangladesh people should now choose people that are lenient to Bitcoin, to elect in the highest position, the more people they elected that are lenient to Cryptocurrency, the better, this is the only way that Bitcoin will have a future in Bangladesh

The fact is, no can stop the growth and progress of this revolutionary technology. Cryptocurrency is the future and those who understand it very well will continue to promote it in any way possible. Thanks to OP for sharing such a motivational photos and I trust the large company CEO here can adopt such strategies to create more awareness to clients that visit our companies.

I think this isn't that great of an promotion if they named the cafe for that purpose. For some of my own experience in creating a business that is named after something(not only bitcoin) like from a game or such thing, they really don't pay attention to what is your business name they will just go in because of the service and won't bother time to ask someone where did that came from, plus the fact that they are doing this in a country where usage of bitcoin is prohibited.

I think of such cafe will be available in our country, a lot of crypto enthusiast will hang out there to their cryptocurrency task such as trading, gambling, and bounty hunting and might be able to meet face to face and share their ideas about crypto. This cafe has ana amazing concept.

Thanks for the new pics. The place looks cozy and clean. I hope the food and the coffee are also great. This is definitely going to bring together in one place the Bitcoin fanatics within the area. Bangladesh has a thick population. There must also be a thick population of Bitcoin supporters around. More of these restaurants are needed for the government to see the potential of Bitcoin, at least starting from the local governments. Who knows, they will open and legalize Bitcoin payment because of these kinds of efforts.

maybe the purpose of establishing the cafe is because the owner is obsessed with bitcoin. so it's a unique cafe concept in my opinion and it can be used as a good promotional medium if indeed Bitcon can be legal in Bangladesh. because it will certainly be easy to attract people to learn bitcoin.
This will make people they serve think and be curious about bitcoin. They are just promoting crypto and make the government open their views about it. It is the way to inform people that there is other way of paying where they do not need any cash wherever they go.

It doesn't make any sense. It would be better if more cafes began to accept btc as payment. But this is only interior

It does sense because the cafe was established in a country where bitcoin is illegal. It's like seeing an oasis in the middle of the desert.

More cafe to accept BTC payment there?

Read the content mate for you to understand.

This Bitcoin Cafe is a vivid example of how to tell people about digital coins in an informal setting. I like the idea of creating such cafes because in many countries it would be a great place to learn about crypto (in my opinion it much better than some boring training.)

Wow, that's a piece of great news for the Bitcoin community of Bangladesh, I think that's the start of the age of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. It's true that Day by day Bitcoin is getting popular and accepted around the world, especially in Asia, we know a large number of people are living in this area, it's a population density area so Bitcoin and blockchain system both can carry importance in the monetary sector for the future purpose.
Whatever the case is, Blockchain will be the mainstream for payment and receiving purpose along with a good investment for the future purpose. Hope to see it...

How will this help the community of Bangladesh? Now Bitcoin on the wall of a cafe just means it is a hype coin,,, Bitcoin on the brochure of your company saying you accept BTC, or Bitcoin sticker next to your Visa and Mastercard signages,,, now THAT is what I call good for the Bitcoin community.

Bangladesh is very densely populated so they do have a use for digital money. But is it Bitcoin?

The theme of the cafe is quite resembling a theme of cryptocurrency mainly focused on BITCOIN, however then what is the purpose of this if you can't even get to use your Bitcoins here, I mean that would be neat to spend my BTC for a cup of coffee and bread, I'm completely happy with fiat being spent but I do hope soon that the implementation will take effect soon, I'll be in Bangladesh soon and I might as well check out this cafe and see for myself if the coffee and everything deserves a 10/10

It is great that you can visit the cafe personally. That is certainly a landmark for all Bangladesh citizens who are also into Bitcoin. As to the cafe not accepting Bitcoin, it does not really have a choice, does it? It cannot accept Bitcoin since the country considers it illegal. Lest the government will shut it down. But sooner rather than later, Bangladesh will certainly give it a green, or so I hope.
at least if we visit the cafe it will certainly be easy to find a bitcoiner community, of course this is a positive step because we can share fellow bitcoiners. on the other hand with this cafe, of course, it will score a lot of new bitcoiners

For sure this is going to become a sort of a hang out place for like-minded individuals. Dropping a quick hi and hello here and there must not be awkward at all. Chatting over a cup of coffee here must be great knowing that most of the customers share the same passion and interest. It feels like there are really no strangers inside this cafe. Everybody's bound by the ideas set by Satoshi.

The owner of that cafe might be inspired by the popularity of the cryptocurrency and since it is prohibited to use in their country, the owner instead, named his or her coffee shop after the leading coin. The name of the coffee shop will surely makes everyone curious and attracts them to drink coffee in that shop and inquire about its name. It is also a cool advertising for the bitcoin and make anyone aware that there another kind of currency that can use for any transactions.
