Gambling is particularly dangerous because you can get financial ruin extremely fast, compared to other addictions.
I don't think gambling addiction is the most dangerous compared to other addictions, as you said gambling addiction will make ruin your financial, that's all. Actually drugs addiction is way more dangerous than gambling addiction since it will ruin your financial and your health condition. If you lost all your money but you still have a good health and body, you can get a job. But when you don't have any money and you're sick due to drugs, it's almost difficult to get a job to make you survive.

To a certain extend yeah, but you have to remember that sometimes gamblers who are addicted can do things beyond our comprehension, the worst is stealing money which is worst because you can go to jail for doing that. So there is no lesser evil here, both have a negative impact not just to the individual but the person around him/here. Love ones that can ruin their lives.

Online gambling addictions such as online slots, online lottery, etc. can ultimately destroy the lives of the players, both financially, physically, emotionally, and socially. The back and forth wins experienced by online slot gambling players, online lottery, etc., is what ultimately makes these players fall into addiction. The National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG) in the United States estimates that bankruptcy, theft, domestic violence and neglect of children, foreclosure of homes and other investments, and even suicide are also linked to gambling addictions such as online slots.

The following are the characteristics of someone who is addicted to online gambling...
There is always a desire to gamble with increasing amounts of money, to achieve what you want.

Restlessness or irritability when trying to reduce or stop gambling.

After losing gambling money, often comes back another day to get revenge ("chase" someone's loss).

Forcing into debt and even committing crimes just to have playing capital, and relying on others to provide money to alleviate the desperate financial situation caused by gambling.

Often gambles when feeling depressed (eg stressed, helpless, guilty, anxious, depressed).
Are we one of the online gambling addicts...?
 Huh Huh Huh

Gambling addiction is pretty similar to any other addiction.

People want to get that feeling of excitement, and every time people win at gambling they get that. It's the same feeling that someone gets when eating a chocolate, or drinking alcohol, etc, whatever feels good for the person.

That's addiction, doing something that feels good for the short term but it's bad for the long term.

Gambling is particularly dangerous because you can get financial ruin extremely fast, compared to other addictions.

I don't know what percentage, do you know? In my opinion, this percentage is rather higher when compared with the middle class. As you know, the children of rich parents very often become "golden youth" who suffer from idleness by using drugs, gambling, etc. In any case, whatever this percentage, such people, by the very fact of their existence, refute the stereotype that they come to gambling only because of disappointment with their financial situation and the desire to make money. Everyone has their own reasons.
As I have previously explained to you, each person has his reasons for falling prey to addiction, regardless of the general principle that confirms that there are certain personalities who can fall into the trap of addiction of all kinds, and not all personalities can become addicted to something as a result of circumstances, whether private or objective. . But when we are in the process of setting a general rule for defining a gambling addict, all evaluations will go to the search for easy and quick profit, which is the characteristic of the poor in the majority.

I understand your point, but your theory is contrary to the facts because there are facts (rich people who gamble and become addicted) that are contrary to your "general rule". If you really want to talk about some serious theory, then you probably need to give more numbers and statistics and not just "I think so" or use such vague formulations as "majority", because even this formulation can change its meaning if we take not natural numbers, but percentages.

This is too stereotyped representation of addicted people in my opinion. What can you say about rich people who already have a luxurious life but are starting to get involved in gambling? It is hard to imagine that they play for money, they are just looking for adrenaline and new sensations, which is why many of them take risks by trying drugs and other stimulants.
How much of the wealthy represent the general percentage of addicts to gambling in the world and throughout the entire history of gambling? I don't think they are large enough to form a definition of gambling addiction.
But in general, they have in common with the poor in many points, including their inability or loss of the desire to do something useful on the belief that they are smarter than others, or more fortunate than others. And considering the state of addiction inevitably linked to successive losses, they will lead themselves to bankruptcy and return to the same definition box that I referred to.

in personal experience curing gambling addiction must take a lot of time, it can reach months or years, this is like having to get rid of greed or mentality that has damaged it. on the other hand, we have to re-strategize so that it doesn't happen a second time when we lose control, we who have to be able to control don't make it the main impetus. On the other hand, there are other responsibilities that must be a daily staple. don't happen to lose everything do enough
I'd say it will depend on the gambler. There goes the gamblers that would really need a long time before he's able to take a whole healing process.

But for some, it won't take that much because of the burning desire to quit gambling and can't take it anymore as they experience the negative effects of it.

It is why that desire should include that encouragement of having that mindset of quitting addiction.
This bitter experience for me will make the basic point of the mindset, as the way to control already having this experience will not be repeated. yes, the urge is still in our brains to come back again. but I don't want to lose a valuable thing ruining the reputation of the other side's life. all need to plant seeds so that good or less perfect results can be seen, must be corrected again so that they continue to grow well

The most common characteristic of an addicted gambler is they are greedy to earn more money from something they think will make them rich since gambling gives them an easy way to earn it. They forgot how to discipline themselves in spending their money in gambling and are too focused on the goal to win that they don't realize how much they already lose. Usually these are people who are in desperate need for money or want to escape their 9 to 5 job.
It not difficult to know if someone is addicted to gambling. There are some characters that an addicted gambler will portray and you will definitely know that he is an addicted gambler. One character in them is that they don't leave the gambling hall.Anyone who is addicted to gambler will not leave where they gamble, they are always there. They use every little money they have to gamble hoping that one day it will favour them. The moment you this see people like this, then have in mind that the person is an addict.

Unfortunately, there are more addictive gamblers than we can see them. As you mentioned that we can identify an addictive gambler in a physical casino but there are so many online casinos where thousands of addictive players are gambling there and we never know anyone of them. Online casinos have produced far more addictive gamblers and the number can be alarmingly high.

Restlessness or irritability when trying to reduce or stop gambling

online gambling addicts can still stop if you have strong intentions, avoid everything that smells of gambling, busy yourself with family so don't diagnose yourself as an addict and can't stop gambling but be excited to stay away so you don't stress

You are very right, they have money on their mind all the time. And they can go to any extend to get money out of pocket of the other people.
Last night I was watching a season where a plane crashed and the women who survived burnt the money to lit the fire. This is the worth of the money when you are stick in wilderness - and when you die. You take your deeds along, oh! the world is a horrible place with these greedy minded people.

I don't think there are any special characteristics because everyone has a different lifestyle, even though they are both addicted to online gambling but I think they have their own characteristics and it will be different depending on their lifestyle. Indeed, perhaps they can be identified by traits such as always wanting to be alone because online gambling will be closely related to privacy. Therefore, I think the main characteristic is that they are always more aloof which in the end their lifestyle is more introverted but it will be different when they gamble online with many friends around then the characteristics of addiction like that may be disguised.
I think there are some common characteristics on the majority of those which become addicted to gambling, they have poor impulse control and they have short term thinking, basically they are the kind of people that like living in the moment without thinking about the consequences of their behavior, while those which do not have those two characteristics are way more resistant to gambling addiction as they can easily see where their actions are leading them and they take measures to avoid that fate.

which makes mental damage because the money they have is not fully returned again, and from there everyone has big ambitions with the desire for money back but vice versa. and being able to make sacrifices to sell cars or anything else for the sake of getting everything back, of course, this will be an excessive learning that is not good. I like gambling but I don't do it every day because there are many other jobs. I have learned a lot from people who are addicted to gambling, so that I can control myself.

The people who become addicted have a distorted reality from their brain. They are like numb persons who do not understand nothing except the urge for gambling. We have seen a lot of stories that have ended in some cases even tragically. One of the most tragic ending is a movie made in 1971 which is called Love Toy.A person loses everything to his friend in gambling and the friend told him,I don't want your fortune but only one night with your daughter. That for me is the scariest thing can happen to any addicted person.

The most prominent characteristic of most addicted to gambling is that they are not satisfied with their standard of living, even if it is acceptable and sufficient to lead a good life. They are not good at doing something useful and aspire to a life of luxury without thinking of doing something useful to reach that standard of living. They resort to gambling in the hope of achieving quick and easy profits, and with the successive disappointments, they become more and more stubborn by being lucky more than others and deserving of the best. Their aspiration towards a life of luxury is not so much ambition as it is hatred and envy for what they see in others. Their situation becomes sophisticated the more their losses increase, and if it happen to make profits, they think that they deserve more than that, so they do not stop.

When a person has no ‍any specific job or employment they usually fall into this type of gambling addiction. Gamblers who have high cravings usually fall into gambling addictions quickly. One thing I have found out myself is that people who win their first time gambling and fall back gambling to earn more but they lost, after that they try to recover his losses but certainly they become addicted into gambling.
Not only because they don't have a money and sees a potential of earning a nice money out of gambling but it can also be because of boredom because you know our jobs is usually the one that can make us busy every single day. Without it, we think we have plenty of time and we may discover gambling and see it as a good way to spend our time because not only it can entertain us all day but if we are lucky we can also earn an income thru it.

People who win for the first time in gambling are sometimes wise and won't continue anymore but maybe you are right that most of them will be overwhelmed for that fact so they will come back and try to win more. This can go worse if they don't change this mindset.

Well in that case we can take both instances and call them the possible causes. Both extremes of one side, one being too rich and one too poor, try to go into gambling to look for something that could help them. The former want adrenaline, the latter need a life-changing experience. Wouldn't really tell that they're equal, but well the world didn't bring us equally here in the first place anyway. There might be special cases though where people just end up being addicted due to, well, playing it for a long time (and I'd honestly place my bets here most of the time).
