I am terrible at Fantasy Football!!!
I can't see the Patriots making it to the SB this year.  I don't think they have enough offensive weapons to compete against the other top AFC teams.  But it is hard to count out Brady and Belichick.
Whether NE will make it to the SB or not will depend on several factors. They need to finish 13-3 and get a bye week since I believe that if you give Belichick a home game and two weeks of preparation he will find a way to exploit any weakness KC and Houston may have, if they do not and have to win two games on the road then you can count them out, this means their game against the Bills this Saturday is crucial for their aspirations.

Another Factor is Lamar Jackson’s health, if he is healthy then I do not think he can be stopped by the NE’s defence, but if he is not as mobile he will need to beat the NE’s defence with his arm and NE’s secondary is one of the best of the league.

We will see exactly what the Pats are capable of this week, as I said last week if the Bills win then this week will be the Pats Litmus test.

Agree completely, I think a lot of people are sleeping on the Bills.  They have a top 10 ranked defence.

I'm also surprised NO is only giving 2.5. Tannerhill has reinvigorated the Titans but damn NO is on friggin fire.
This should be an easy cover.

Short week for the Saints, coming off an emotional game Monday night with Brees breaking the all time TD record.  Trap game maybe?

I really hope NE don't win the SuperBowl again as its getting boring seeing the same team play each year, its time for a change and this season we have many contenders. I have a futures bet on the Saints to win along with the Packers and Chiefs.

The Eagles are ugly right now and the cowgirls got some hustle in them after Jones read them the riot act so I think the Cowgirls keep it together this week but ya know shit happens if maybe the entire WR corp gets healthy for the Eagles then they can put up some numbers.

AFA the SB I think the Pats will not be in it this year, they look really ugly and I don't see that changing. If I had to bet I'd take the Ravens and hope LAmar doesn't get injured until next year. Cheesy

And Yes not only has Mahomes been looking good lately but he has gotten smarter about ricking his neck out there. Hill is still causing penalties for no reason that get chunk plays called back though. I think Hill might be doing it to help pad his stats as he's never even near the play when he pulls his shenanigans. Mahomes made a joke about busting hills balls that he took his TD because he dropped the ball but I think there really is something going on there.

I think we are looking at a NE vs. NO Super Bowl. That's my guess right now. As much as I'd rather not, I would also bet that NE is going to win... We'll see though. I'm not placing any SB bets right now... one game at a time.

Picking the Pats to go to the superbowl?  Isn't that taking the easy way out? I'm going to stick my neck out and say that the AFC championship game is going to be played in Baltimore, and the Packers will be one of the teams there.  Really though, the Ravens are looking hot, but how many times have we seen a hot team stifled by the Pats?  Too many times to count.  I'm not going to argue with you on that one.

The NFC is tougher nut to crack.  The Saints look awesome, and by this weeks standards they look like the team to beat.  Last week we were saying the same thing about the Niners, the week before it was the Seahawks, the week before that it was the Packers...  The NFC is going to come down to whichever team is the healthiest going into the Conference Championships.

I really really want the Niners to beat the Pats in the superbowl this year.  The best way to kick off a new dynasty is to start by beating the old one.  That's just the way it's gotta be.  As much as I would love to smack down the Ravens, get our revenge for the Harbowl and this season's last second defeat, it wouldn't be nearly as satisfying as beating the Pats.

Brees certainly deserves to get to the superbowl again, the saints have been screwed over a few times by bad calls at key moments. As far as KC well I think thats up in the air and still too early to call but i still like tyKiwanuka's prediction.

New Poll

Dallas Cowboys vs. Philadelphia Eagles
Sunday, 4:25 PM

The line is -2.5 or -3 Cowboys, the poll is for ML.

Its a more exciting / relevant game than the Bengals-Dolphins game, which only has a spread of 1.

Edit:

My picks for this week to cover are:

Dallas -2.5
Kansas City -5
Pittsburgh -3

These are all teams fighting for wild card spots, and they all have a significantly higher ATS (against the spread) than their opponent. I feel most comfortable about Kansas City. I feel so confident about it I took it at -6. I'm also a bit drunk, but you know, liquid courage, etc...

Can never go wrong with picking the patriots in the superbowl.  It just looks like they have some cracks on offense I havent seen before but that is probably by design with belichek.  It just seems everyone is passing over the chiefs and forget that mahomes had a gruesome injury that muddled the middle of their season, he looks fully healthy and they could definately sneak on people.

Brees in a record setting night in his dome was not going to be stopped.  Dude is playing out of his mind and with thomas on the other end of the catches is golden.  I like saints through the playoffs even though they might have to hit the road.  Their d is good enough and drew has the fight of a bull in him.  They will be tough to beat come playoff time.  I like a saints vs chiefs superbowl (yep kc edges out baltimore)

For the record I went with the Steelers in the poll... Bills have indeed been improving but I think Steelers are the better late season team and know how to win in crunch time. Bills had a playoff drought from 1999 - 2017 when they lost to the Jags. Meanwhile, Steelers have been to the playoffs 11 times during that period.

I do need your guys' opinion on who to start for my QB:

Carson Wentz

or

Jameis Winston

This is for the victory in my fantasy league. Winston is projected to score about 30% higher than Wentz, which is quite significant, and it could make or break my team this week. On one hand, Winston is great for fantasy teams, on the other than, Wentz's team needs a W for the playoffs. Who would you go with?

Jameis Winston

Seems Steelers will have no Juju this week.

I'm concerned that the Bills are going to beat my Pats next week.

It will be interesting to see if the Pats can get their shit together this week and the bills/steelers will be a litmus test for that matchup.

I like the Bill's in this one.  This was a Bill's team that was so close to beating baltimore.  I dont think they will actually have to much issue with the steelers.  Even though it's on the road I can see the Bill's winning by 7+ points.  Might be worth adding points to the spread and getting really good odds

7 points right on the money.  Everyone is overlooking the Bill's but they are a team nobody wants to play right now, their defense is seriously good.  They made lamar Jackson's balt team look pedestrian, if not for a coue big plays Bill's beat them.  Since my giants are in the cellar I'm gonna ride the Bill's for the rest of the year, fun team to watch too.  Liking the saints -9 in the one a lot.  They are fighting for that ultimate #1 home field and a bye slot.  I think they blow the colts out.  34-16

But be glad DireWolfM14 as long as the 49ers are not facing a bird then their winning chances are 100% but if they do then it is just 40%. Grin

Lol, you just have to rub it in, huh?

Tonight the Saints should win at home but as they are massive favourites I have gone with a prop bet with Brees to score over 2.5 TDs tonight to break Manning's record against Mannings former team the Colts. Its a risk but its mainly just for fun to see if it hits.

That was a smart bet, congrats on winning it.  It was funny how he got it before half time, then the refs took it away.  Pretty fucking petty call for PI in that situation, if you ask me.  It didn't look like the receiver pushed the defender at all, but he did have his hand on his back.  Regardless, nobody was worried that Brees wouldn't get #540 in the second half.  Congrats to Drew Brees, the man is the definition of "baller."  A stat the announcer mentioned during the game last night, that touch down pass gave Brees 20 consecutive completions, his personal record was 19 in a single game before that pass.

Big game for everyone's favorite the Dallas Cowboys versus the Eagles for the NFC east division on Sunday hehehe. How is the Eagles defense? I reckon Cowboys covers -3.

I'm surprised the Cowgirls are favored against the Eagles at home.  It'll be a tough match, but I'm picking the Eagles in this one.  Of course if I'm wrong I only lose bragging rights.  Tongue

I'm now regretting not taking a 10 point spread or higher on this game (took 9), but you know, woulda/shoulda. Happy to have a win. Won this game, and thanks to Thomas and Lutz putting up solid numbers, won my fantasy league. It was a great day for freedom, and a great day to be an American.

Congrats all the way around.

Drew Brees breaking the record at home was a no brainer in my opinion and that is why I went with it. I did take it for fun however I did suspect that he would break Mannings record against his former team the Colts and I have noticed that Brees has broken records when playing at home and I believe they have been on prime time so I thought that the over 2.5 TDs was a good prop bet for the night as the Saints were too short for my liking. I'm now starting to think that the Saints make the Superbowl, just not sure which other team they face.

ROTFLMAO! good game! I lost one and won one this week so 50% in the playoffs for me. Hopefully will pull of a win next week. Funny i had Brees on the team I won and was against Brees on the one I lost (even though I would have lost anyway).

Yup, great prop bet, Where did you make it?

I'm not sure they will make SB but it would be cool if they do.

Slamb dunk.

The handicap tonight feels like too big for the Saints they have a good record but only won twice with at least 10 or more points. The Colts have a bad record but have been covering better than the Saints I wanted to take the Colts' handicap but instead went with the 1st half Sants -4(1.90 on fj). The Saints should win but i'm not that confident if they could win with a lot of points.

Good safe bet.
