so the game could be closer than the spread.

As much as i want to take the Jets spread here i will pass. They did me wrong twice in a row and those 6 points and poor play in Cincinnati in their last away game is very concerning. Mark Andrews will play, he was also questionable like Lamar, so Ravens ain't giving any freebies to NYJ tonight.

I ended up picking a weird bet, singles on Ravens O 30.5 and Jets O 12.5.
I can see Baltimore score at least 4 TDs + 1 FG, as for the Jets they are avg 17.4 for the year, 21 (last 3) 22 (last 1) and 16 (away from home). Weather forecast: no rain, no wind, no ghosts...so Darnold should be good for 1TD and 2 FGs.

mid-way in the second Q there were more TDs than incomplete passes combined for both teams...that's some crazy stat damn

That is an impressive stat, I hand't realized that.  Damn.

Game of the year so far without a doubt.

Agreed.  Definitely one of the most exciting finishes for the Niners in a long while.  The only game that I can recall to compare is the 2002 NFC Wildcard game when Jeff Garcia and co overcame a 24 point deficit and orchestrated 4th quarter comeback win against the NY Giants.

I hope we get to see a rematch with the Saints in the NFC title game.  The way the NFC looks today, I would say that's the most likely scenario.

GO 49ERS!

Just read this made me twitch.  That game will forever be burned in my head and the reason why I will always hate the 49ers lol.  Dont know which was worse that one or the miracle at the Meadowlands 2, where Jackson returned the punt to end the game....both brutal.  At least the giants suck so bad now that when they lose it's not really a big deal  Cheesy

Big Spread in the final Thursday night game of the season.

Jets +16.5 O/U 44.5

16.5 points is a lot to cover but I think the Ravens at home against the Jets will cover this easily.

Is Lamar playing?

OK, just checked and apparently he's supposed to but they may pull him so the game could be closer than the spread.

This looks pretty damn good.

I would agree except for these
DOLPHINS @ GIANTS If Parker plays.

BILLS @ STEELERS

And these I think could be upsets and are too close to call.
EAGLES @ REDSKINS
BEARS @ PACKERS
RAMS @ COWBOYS

Goff is hit or miss, I actually dropped him in my league.  He either throws for 400 or 130 yards lol.  Shame he isnt consistent.  Lucky I added josh allen with my last pick, been running him out there for most of the year in that league.  Allen has been a sneaky good ff quarterback this year for me.

Yeah i drafted him as well and cut him but his ceiling is high and i may need that and I don't want to see him played against me in the playoffs now that they are starting to get their shit together again. I grabbed Cousins to replace him and he was adequate for the job. Smiley

That SF@SEA matchup in week 17 will be crucial.

I can't see Seattle dropping either of their next two games, so this is absolutely true.  If both teams win their next two, this will be the game of the weekend in week 17, without a doubt.  And we'll have to wait until Monday night for it.

Your playoff scenario makes perfect sense.  I hope it doesn't come down another game in Seattle during conference weekend.

Purely for fun, here are my guesstimates for the weekend:

JETS @ RAVENS
PATRIOTS @ BENGALS
BUCCANEERS @ LIONS
TEXANS @ TITANS
BRONCOS @ CHIEFS
DOLPHINS @ GIANTS
EAGLES @ REDSKINS
SEAHAWKS @ PANTHERS
BEARS @ PACKERS
VIKINGS @ CHARGERS
JAGUARS @ RAIDERS
BROWNS @ CARDINALS
RAMS @ COWBOYS
FALCONS @ 49ERS
BILLS @ STEELERS
COLTS @ SAINTS

That SF@SEA matchup in week 17 will be crucial. I've played around a bit with the ESPN playoff machine and gave SEA the edge over SF in week 17, resulting in this playoff picture:

Source: http://www.espn.com/nfl/playoffs/machine

A GB&SF win in wild card round would give us SF vs NO matchup already in divisional round. If MIN was to win at Lambeau, the Niners would have to travel to Seattle again Grin But anyway, that NFC playoff picture already gets me pumped for January, with lots of exciting teams going all out against each other. The AFC looks a bit meh to that in contrast (for me at least).

For week 15 odds, nothing caught my attention so far. Need to dig a little deeper I guess.

The Bills are good value going into the Steelers game after a good game against the Ravens but I just can't have them as I think the Steelers get the win. Raiders should get the win this week as the Jags have been hit and miss and coming off a bad loss to the Chargers I think the Raiders get the win which will be their last home game I believe? so they would want to get the win before moving to Vegas.

I just finished watching the Niners v Saints game two days later lol, no regrets here it was amazing to watch and glad that i did.

The first half and the fourth quarter was highlight play after highlight play, absolutely breathtaking imo.

There was some defense played in the 3rd with a forced fumble and an interception, some incomplete passes too (mid-way in the second Q there were more TDs than incomplete passes combined for both teams...that's some crazy stat damn).

I thought Saints match pretty well against the Niners and probably would have won that game if it wasn't for Jared Cook's injury, Niners didn't have an answer for him early.

About the game-winning play by Kittle, i think Marcus Williams made a huge mistake there by stepping backwards and going for Kittle's shoulders. He should have rushed him instead and go for his knees/ankles and play would've been dead at 50yard line with 30 seconds and just 1 timeout left.

The game was a treat no doubt about it and congrats to DireWolfM14!

Game of the year so far without a doubt.  I was with some women that dont even watch football and they were glued to the tv.  I pray to the football gods that we get a rematch in the playoffs we deserve that game again  Cheesy.  I thought the saints had it in the bag but then ...kittle that was an incredible play regardless of penalty.

I honestly was impressed with buffalo's game against baltimore.  If they bring the same game against Pittsburg I think they easily win actually.  Not having to deal with lamar all game goes a long way and Bill's did fairly well against him.  My money would be on the Bill's for that one

I'm with you on this one, i'm firing up the bills D with Zero qualms.

I'm wondering what game Nutildah is going to pick for this week's poll.

Houston @ Tennessee is primed to be an exciting match up.  The winner will take the lead in the AFC south, then the Titans travel to Houston two weeks later for a rematch.

Right! I've been considering for the last half hour whether to p[lay Tannerhill over Brees this week! I'm not sure the Saints colts will be that high a scoring game if Hilton doesn't play.

This week the Raiders play in Oakland for the last time.  They are hosting the Jaguars, so maybe if they don't fuck thing up for themselves they can give the Colosseum a farewell win.

If the Raiders can't win this one Gruden better run out the back door or there might be a Lynch mob in Oakland!

Where the poll!

Shit I had to pick up Goff (slim pickings on the wire and i can't trust Mayfield even with the best matchup in football!) as a spare and am not sure whether to play him over Cousins this week.

The other game I think will be fun to watch is Buffalo @ the Steelers.  Both teams are looking for a wildcard spot, although it's still not impossible for the Bills to take the conference if they win the rest of their games.  They would need to beat the Pats in week 16, and get help from Cincinnati or Miami.  I don't think they would win the division if it comes down to tie breakers.  The Steelers might be in a more desperate situation if they want that last wildcard spot.  They visit the Ravens in week 17, who might need that win to take the top seed.  If the Ravens have clinched the top seed before week 17, they might not even start their top guys. The Steelers might be able to steal one.

This week the Raiders play in Oakland for the last time.  They are hosting the Jaguars, so maybe if they don't fuck thing up for themselves they can give the Colosseum a farewell win.

That's all I got, other than my official sign-off in this thread:

GO 49ERS!

I think it should definately be houston and tennessee.  That will be for a playoff position and division lead.  Two equivalent teams, houston on the way down and tennessee on the way up.  Will it continue?  Can Tannehill propel them to the playoffs, great story and what should be an even better game.  I'd say this is the game of the week.

I got Eagles -9 parlayed with the over at 45.5 here we go GL everyone Smiley

It appears you will lose both bets.

In any case, the Steelers might be desperate to win versus the Bills next week to be closer in getting a wild card spot. If they win, will they beat -2.5?

Yeah that weather didnt help the over on that one.  Recievers were slipping all over, and enty of dropped balls to go around.

@Hueristic
I like that you took Phillip Lindsay @ Houston over Mark Ingram @ Buffalo.  Brady at home vs. KC is also a good gamble, although I wouldn't be surprised to see Breeze have a good statistical day (despite prying for him to lose big!)

had that dramatic NFC championship game at the 49ers with that muffed punt from the 49ers shortly before end of regular time

That's still a painful memory, but I felt vindicated that my team lost to the eventual champions.  That was a great superbowl game as well that year.

To make this a real gamble, I would take Fitzpatrick and pray for another crazy game from him. Brady will put up some numbers, but nothing huge I think. Chiefs run defense is terrible and I think Bill will exploit that and run all day on them. As I wrote earlier, the secondary of the Jets is pretty decimated with Poole and Adams out and Maulet being doubtful as of now. Odds suggest that the Dolphins will have to play catch-up, so some more throwing from Fitzpatrick is to be expected, although we might be in for a low scoring affair. The rest is fine I think.

...

Wow, pretty good that you have both Brees and Brady. Was it like that all season for you? The only change I would make is switching Kelce for Henry. NE defense could potentially stop some yards for you there. I've had Henry as my starting TE for most of the season and he's paid off more often than not.

OK so these are the only 3 recommendations i was able to find and it looks like DireWolfM14 has made the best Lineup by saying to not change anything!

So you wouldn't make any changes?
Not even Flex?

Is funny that i even asked DireWolfM14 if he wanted to make any changes and apparently not and he was right afa those who chose to participate.

It turns out the only changes that i should have made were Brees and Brady swap which DireWolfM14 actually mentioned as being a possible scenario (although i wouldn't say he lost big!) and Swapping out Parker as the flex for anyone as he got knocked out of the game with an injury.

https://i.imgur.com/LydVOgg.jpg

OK after another look while making the screeny it looks like i missed the fact Fitzmagic  beat out Brady so tyKiwanuka wins.

If I missed anyone or made an error let me know.

In other news looked like I made the playoffs in both my leagues so thats cool. One league was a 7 way possibility for 3rd and 4th as 3 had 7-6 and 4 had 6-7 records and it ended up I made the playoffs with a 7-7 record and so did one other team! Now thats what you call a tight season.

I am terrible at Fantasy Football!!!
That was hilarious.  When Tannehill made that tackle I though to myself, look at that tightend hitting like a linebacker.  Only it wasn't a tightend, lol.  That was the best play of the day for the Raiders, otherwise they looked like shit.  What a disappointing final season for Oakland, I feel bad for all my East Bay friends.
That was an incredible hustle play by Tannehill and I think it was also a statement for the rest of his teammates, it is very difficult to not be motivated if you saw your QB making that play and not giving up like many other QBs.

My favorite play of the day (hello, I'm biased) was Kittle dragging three defenders for 9 yards while they're hanging onto his facemask.  Here's a clip of the niner's final drive:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ie2AOuDMGo
That play on its own was impressive but when you take into account the circumstances, final drive of the game, 4th and 2(as a NE fan just writing that brings me bad memories) and the top seed at stake then that play becomes even more impressive.

Funny to see Nutildah's poll in hind-sight.  80% of us (including me) picked Seattle.  80% of us were wrong.  The most surprising thing was the Lamb's D kept Seattle's offense from scoring a TD.
In week 10 nutildah selected Buffalo at Cleveland as the game in the poll and everyone except vella85 got it wrong, I remember that game vividly because I was the last one to vote and I thought on voting for the Browns just for the lolz but at the end I did not.

Big mistake on my part.

Haha, yeah its nice to see Tannehill on a decent team, great tackle!.

Ditto on Tannehill, he's a good kid and I'd like to see him and the Titans do well.

Weird that I had a browser crash right after I had written a small paragraph on why I thought the Rams would take that one and was too lazy to rewrite it after the recover. Basically it was because I have been watching Locket slowly stop producing and was looking at that as a leading indicator with W00ds on the surge and boy did he PEAK! I played W00ds and Kupp and If Barkley can put some about 8 more points today I can squeak a win.

Pretty good call, and hope your prediction holds true for the rest of the season.

Low scoring game today, giants just don't want to shut the door.
They are giving the Eagles all the chances they need to come back.

Aaaand they came back!

That was actually a pretty good game.  I didn't expect it to be so entertaining considering the two teams' records.  I like Wentz, I'm glad he did well tonight, but I was actually rooting for old man Manning.  His days are waning, and I'd like to see him go out on a somewhat positive note.  Not every one get to retire the way his big brother did.
